China Treasures Tour

We booked holiday tour to China from Australia.
No clear indications of fees on booking. Even payment by PayPal incurred a fee. Had to pay additional $150 for the flight immediately after booking due to lack of information on the website.
Terrible 24 hours flights, short transfers. All the flights were late, creating more stress. Seats prices are more expansive than the flight using Cathay airline.
The company encourages unethical practises of unpaid labour in China by advertising "cheap tours" with "optional" tours and tipping that, if accepted, would inflate the cost of the tour at least twice.
Overall experience with the company very poor, never again.

Sorry to see that you're not happy with your experience Lou. Seating requests are always made and confirmed on a Request basis as Airlines do have the ability to detach seating request from the booking if they deem necessary. Although rare, this can happen. If you would like to request seating for your booking you can just let the team know. I hope this provides further clarity for you, and we do take your feedback on board with our teams internally.

Unprofessional, poor communication and ignorant staff.

FCM time and again is a pain to deal with. They constantly fail to send through chargeback information and other payment information prior to their guest's arrival at hotels. They are poor communicators who are difficult to get in contact with in any timely manner. I have requested payment information from them multiple times for bookings, only to be forced to charge the guests directly or delay taking payment for multiple days after the guest's departures.

Their staff have poor communication standards, easily get side tracked, confused and fail to understand booking situations when they aren't dealing with a chain hotel in a larger city.

In all, Flight Centre Travel Group and FCM in particular are appalling examples of travel agents. They are extremely difficult to deal with at the front and back or business and I could not more highly recommend not using this company to book any trips at all as there is a reasonable chance they'll just forget about your booking, ignore you or communicate poorly with you and the hotel you book.

This review is a culmination of 2-3 years worth of dealing with FCTG and FCM in both a professional and consumer basis.

Extremely unhappy with customer service…

Extremely unhappy with customer service to date. Package holiday to Japan cancelled by Flight Centre, Dublin, on 18 March. Was asked if I would accept a travel credit note. I declined and said I wanted cash payment as is provided for in Ts&Cs. Holiday of a lifetime so a lot of hard-earned money at stake. Have since sent copious emails requesting payment. Still no refund to date and today is 28 April! Very unhappy with the service. I should have received payment option requested and within 14 days. Flight Centre is non-compliant with the law. 41 days and counting.. Appalling service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Andre Dagee at the South African branch. WHAT A DISASTER.

He kept our money for 6 months after we paid for ALL our flights and accommodation in FULL and promised us everything was booked. To our horror, we were informed that this was not booked, and 99% of the camps we wanted to stay at were fully booked.

This was suppose to be a memorable family holiday, after my father almost dying due to a aneurysm and had to undergo major surgery. We also have my dead 51 year old uncles ashes to spread, he wanted them spreading in each rest camp we requested (WHICH WE COULD NOT DO THANKS TO ANDRE).

Due to my dad falling ill again, we were unable to go on holiday in August 2018, and asked if we could move the holiday. Andre told us this was fine, and did this happily. To our disgust we have now been slapped with a £1000 bill from flight centre for us to pay in compensation for moving the flights and accommodations. ABSOLTUE DISGRACE.

We have complained so many times, and no one at Flight Center is willing to help. A unbelievably unprofessional organisation, and I strongly advise EVERYONE TO STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL CON YOU.

We have taken this to their governing bodies to complain.

PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT HAVE YOUR SPECIAL HOLIDAY RUIEND THE WAY ANDRE DAGEE HAS RUINED OURS.
