Please do not use this service - the name is not a reflection of the service offered. They take your money and do not deliver the required documents/service - you have to continually follow up with Dane, who responds to you as and when he wishes. He has made many false promises about the document about to be sent to me and nothing transpires. It now appears as though the service has not been executed at all , and not even registered with Home Affairs - we are now around 11 weeks down the line. Unprofessional service not to be used!

This is extremely poor service and I would strongly caution others about using this service. Especially if you need documents in a hurry. It says 2 weeks…. It’s now 8 weeks and I’m still waiting. Very poor communication, no updates are given, emails are not answered unless in response to a threat about needing to review the service. As this service is more expensive than others, the additional R2000 I paid has certainly not been worth it. I’m still hoping for some sort of positive outcome. Please answer your emails, please give updates on the process of the document required before the client has to repeatedly ask for updates. If you cannot deliver an efficient service, don’t claim to be able to do so and then charge accordingly. You are the most expensive service in comparison to your nearest competitors, at present that extra expense I paid was a complete waste of money. If you cannot guarantee the delivery of a document within a certain time frame, be honest about the real time frame to avoid false advertising.

Fast, efficient and reliable!

I'm based in KZN, and using a service that is in another province can be risky. But anyone reading and unsure about the service, it is legit. I decided to give Fast Docs a try because I was fed up with unnecessary delays from Home Affairs. I needed to obtain my certificate of impediment. I contacted Dane, who explained the service. Make the payment and trust the job to get done. I requested the express service. The doc was obtained within the time frame given, and was delivered by courier to the address I gave where I'm based. I will definitely use the service again. Contact Dane. Thank you!

It's quite pricey, but I was able to get my Unabridged Birth Certificate & Letter of no Impediment (with apostilles) in 11 weeks without any hassle. They mostly kept me up to date with progress, such as delays or when the documents were ready to be sent for apostilles. I was also emailed scans of the documents to check for errors before apostilles and at the very end.

I do not recommend fastdocs. I applied for my partners vault birth certificate and instead was given an application form that my partner filled out at Home Affairs years ago. It had no parent signatures but Mr Dane Hugo continued to insist that it was his vault copy even though it was signed by my partner 2 years ago meaning my partner created his own vault birth certificate, haha. We therefore paid for a invalid document that was thrown out by the Portuguese consulate as we needed his vault to apply for his Portuguese passport. He was rude and unapologetic and refused to give us a refund, instead he wanted us to pay more to correct his mistake. His customer service is also very poor as we had to constantly contact him for updates otherwise we wouldn't hear from him. I highly recommend OS Migration.

They get the job done.
But they don't check for potential errors in the document They just charge extra to correct even though SA government regularly makes spelling mistakes on the official documents. Their customer service is poor as they basically say that if something is wrong then it's not their fault.
If you want documents faster from home affairs then you can use them but don't expect much service. They know they have no or little competition so they don't have to consider customer service as part of their company.
