Unfortunately my wife and I arrived a litte late for breakfast and found that breakfast had already finished at 11am, so we had no choice but to order the all day breakfast which cost us about an extr... See more

Not a bank holiday in Scotland
Not a bank holiday in Scotland yet this company decided to follow the Bank holiday terms and conditions in Linwood. This is a regular haunt for my wife and myself. To my horror I was told that they do not accept Blue light cards on bank holidays. There must be a reason which I questioned without receiving a suitable answer. So if your reading this and hold a BL card don’t visit on bank holidays unless you want to pay in full.

Our party of 17 went to Evenwood Farm
Our party of 17 went to Evenwood Farm, Runcorn on Sunday for lunch. I want to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to Jade for going above and beyond prior to us arriving and during our time at Evenwood Farm, Because of Jade I would definitely be more than confident in arranging another large family get together at this venue. The food is important but it's the people who work there that make the place. I hope management reads this as Jade deserves recognition for her ever so friendly can do attitude where nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again.
no point in booking
had several emails from langbook farm saying missing me , booked table for special event , got to restaurant and told 60/90 min wait , so could not stay very disappointed
breakfast with friends
Just had breakfast with friends at the Nottingham outlet, service great, food good and a special mention to Kath (Cath) who was running the show when we were there, this young woman could not have been more helpful, courteous or hard working Farmhouse Inns management need to take notice, staff like Kath are makers of great businesses
Very disappointing visit and management experience We visit this place twice a week and…
We visit this place twice a week and normally have a very good experience. Today we visited paid for our meal and stood in the queue for breakfast. Normally we are told to get our plates, today we took out plates and the manager told us not to take them so we wait a few seconds and was given two plates. We walked way thinking she was rather aggressive. The eggs were like rubber so asked if we could have fresh ones, the manager said yes and minutes later arrived work a plate of eggs that were half cooked, I said no it’s fine thank you ass they don’t look cooked, she abrasively said well how do you want them cooking! I just walked away.
We sat down started our breakfast when the manger came to our table and said is everything ok my partner said you were very hostile when we took out plates she immediately started to talk over him and would not let him speak, first rule in customer service is to let the customer speak!! He then just asked her to go away as we were eating our breakfast.
We are both very disappointed with this managers attitude and the way we have been managed. We no longer want to go back in to the restaurant for further confrontation should this manager be working.
Great food
Great food , great staff very helpful and nothing to much trouble .
Woodfield Farm - Doncaster
We visited the Woodfield Farm at Doncaster and it was a very nice meal. We went at Friday tea time and I chose to have the carvery. Although it was overall an enjoyable carvery, you could tell that some of the food had probably been sat there for a while. This was very evident with the Yorkshire Puddings.
My husband and daughter both had a meal from the menu and there's was beautiful.
The one thing that made this a very enjoyable experience was a guy that worked there called Ian. He was very attentive and helpful, and came out with many dad jokes that had us groaning! He was very chatty and friendly and gave advice on meal choices.
Thanks Ian - keep doing what you are doing.
Had a lovely family meal at Meadowfarm…
Had a lovely family meal at Meadowfarm on Sunday 4th May, even though it was very busy the staff worked brilliantly, making sure everything was cleared away as soon as they could and the food was beautiful, especially the carvery, the meat and roast potatoes are to die for. Thanks to all the staff working Sunday
Customer service…
I visited Half Penny Farm Oldbury a couple of weeks ago.
I put a review on when I got home,
A member of staff asked if food was OK. Explained some veg was not hot enough. He said he would speak to them and he did not get back to us. I also put in review that we did not get an apology. Then even in the response to the review we did not get an apology. Don't consider this good customer service.
Dried out food at 9 o’clock at the Evenwood Runcorn

Heathfield Farm Restaurant, Birkenshaw
Booked a table for 4 today 28/02/2025. We have been using this pub/restaurant for a number of years now with no problems until the last 2 visits. We normally have the 2 plate special Soup & Garlic Mushrooms followed by a small carvery. On the previous occasion the mushrooms were served cold, this time the soup was served cold, no problem when we complained on both occasions they were taken away & reheated, but on both occasions the soup & bread were reheated together resulting in hot dry bread. We prefer your carveries for one main reason your roast potatoes are normally well roasted but not on our last but one visit, they were un-edible due to the skins being like leather in both pans, the standard of your roast potatoes is one of the main reasons we visit & don’t now go to our nearer competitor of yours.
Finally who is responsible for checking the temperature of food before it leaves your kitchen?
Take away dessert unedable tastes of SALT
Hmm were waiting for them ring back . We went today sunday
21- 2- 25 ..VERY BUSY..we brought cheeses cakes home ..TASTE OF SALT
Cant eat them there awfull ..
The food was as cold as the service
I had the most disappointing experience at this carvery and definitely won't be returning. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us, so after awkwardly standing around for a while, we ended up seating ourselves. Honestly, they should just take down the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign if no one is around to follow through.
The frustration continued when I went to the bar to order; I had to wait to be served and felt completely ignored. As an allergy-conscious mum, I asked about allergens, but instead of a straightforward answer, I had to awkwardly walk over to a screen to check myself. It’s already uncomfortable enough to ask about allergens, and this made it worse.
Next, I went to get my carvery, and again, there was no one around. I waited until someone finally came to serve me. When the food arrived, it was disappointing—mushy and bland, with the roast potatoes so hard they could have been left out all day. To top it off, I found a bone in my food, which completely ruined my appetite. I ended up leaving most of it.
I was so upset that I couldn’t just let it go, so I went up to the bar to inform them about the bone in my food to hopefully avoid other customers having the same experience. To their credit, they did put it right and refunded me for the carvery portion of my bill, but that doesn't excuse the poor standards or the lack of customer service. Despite the refund, this was still a terrible experience. Avoid this place at all -
Edit: Cherry Tree Farm, Willington
Friendly
Friendly, helpful, ordered from main menu and the food came out quickly and was hot and very good quality!
Birthday Treat
So Cutacre Bolton, Birthday Treat for the missus,( & her mum) carvery was as per usual hot and plenty full, fish and chips was delicious followed by dessert ( apple crumble / sticky toffee pudding). The staff where friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault the service or the price. The background music was a trip down memory lane 80"s style, well done guy's great time was had by all.
Despite not being scheduled in Dean at…
Despite not being scheduled in Dean at Larchwood in Kidderminster opened up for clients when scheduled staff were not able to attend. He calmly and professionally got the tills a breakfast set up as soon as he was able. This really was above and beyond and helped me greatly as I use the early breakfast takeout service to share with my 92 year old father on the weekends. Thanks Dean and all staff at Larchwood.
Carvery meat was really good
Carvery meat was really good! Roast potatoes were a bit questionable though.
