The first of the "boutique" PC makers, Falcon Northwest has been custom designing dream systems since 1992. Often credited with the creation of the "Gaming PC", Falcon Northwest's focus has remained on building systems with high speed graphics, the world's fastest CPUs and custom paintwork to make each system truly unique. This performance and customization has attracted ever-widening markets that need powerful systems, including government and military applications, academic and scientific lab needs, digital photographers and video editors, stock traders, general business use, virtual reality and more. For anyone that needs power, Falcon Northwest can craft it for you.

Their support is also the best I've ever experienced. My particular workload directed a lot of heat to the RAM, and it had an overheating problem. But Falcon Northwest support walked me through troubleshooting, and (long story short) worked with multiple component manufacturers to develop a couple of dedicated cooling fans that mount directly on top of my RAM, which are extremely effective and totally solved the problem.
I would definitely do business with them again.

Overall this thing runs like a champ. I got it July 2025 and it's still kicking and screaming running great. I love playing war thunder on all highest settings. I play games at 4k and at a refresh rate that's usually very high.

DRX system failing from the jump.
In 2023 I spent over 5K on a DRX laptop... upon receiving it. The thing would immediately black screen while trying to play Dota 2 a game that ran flawlessly on my old Razer laptop that cost about 2600 when I bought it.
I've sent it in to be told "we never had issues" then I immediately have issues upon its return.
Games that this unit has failed on
Dota 2
Ready or Not
Baldurs Gate 3
Rimworld
Delta Force
Gran Blue Fantasy
I've spoken with support umpteen times and the most direct answer seems to be it's overheating and failing.
I was told "it's a laptop it's not going to be a good system" by a support tech.
That would hold water if I didnt experience 4 years of joy with a Razer laptop running most games on ultra with no issues.
I was told to lower settings to help with heat but no matter what I do this damn thing is at 90 celcius cranking up the most basic programs. I don't understand.
I'm shelving it to be a glorified work paperweight for PowerPoint and the like.
Just going to buy a PC from cyber power PC or something.
I cannot explain the frustration and embarrassment of spending 5k on a laptop to have it fail mid game while your boys on rigs from 6 years ago have no issues.
I swear to God if I knew a way to get my money back I would.
This machine is from 2013 and FN is giving me
phone support. Who does that these days?
And YES they solved my issue. I will be planning to buy a replacement this year from THEM. Window 11 helps that need requirement but this Computer will be unplugged from internet but still a great backup.
just my 2 cents.

I purchased this system 2 years ago and dealt with a failed 2TB samsung SSD and AMD 6800 GPU.
They helped me with both. But it was certainly exasperating after shelling out $4,000+ to have to troubleshoot and repair my own PC.
Here we are 2 years later and the liquid cooling is failing. My Ryzen 9 5900X is idling at 90 C and overheating if I try to do anything.
I have never been compensated for any of the many hours I've had to put into getting this rig running from the start and, though it served my faithfully for 2 years, here I am again encountering another showstopping problem.
Before you ask, yes I routinely clean the interior, and front radiator grill, with compressed air.
I hate this computer.
I recommend Falcon Northwest without hesitation. Their Tech Support itself is worth the upfront price of their computers. For additional details, read on.
I mistakenly deleted some "system files". This action resulted in a complete erasure of all my data! I immediately called Tech Support. Jon Yoder patiently walked me through a "System Recovery" process by which most of my data. I say "most" because the "System Recovery" is not necessarily the current date. Nevertheless, the lesson learned is "Do Not Delete System Files"! LOL.

Over 23 years I have owned 5 FALCON computers, I have just ordered my 6th! Yes a FALCON is that good!
Ordering your custom system is simple whether you do it on their very intuitive website or talking directly to someone in sales. Their people know their products, and their integrity is second to none. More than once they have talked me out of more expensive components that I did not need and saved me money. I do not know many people in sales that would do that, actually talk you out of spending money! FALCON did... twice!
My systems have been rock solid and dependable. The few times I have had to work with their technical support to install something new or update a driver, it has been painless. The Techs all work right there in Medford, Oregon and talk to you on your level for as long as they need to. In 23 years, I never had to use tech support because something broke... that is a testament to how well designed and constructed my Falcons have been.
The systems truly are beautiful, a work of art inside. When I look inside the my new FALCON for the first time, I always get this feeling of awe, like looking at a nuclear reactor! They are so clean, the wiring is perfect, everything in its place and easily accessible. Now with the new lighting effects on the boards and the tempered glass sides it will be even more spectacular.
In the end though, it doesn't matter how good the salesman was, or how clean the system is; bottom line it all comes down to performance, and FALCON does not disappoint. I run flight simulations which are both graphics and processor intensive. FALCON gets it done with both great performance and great graphics.
Performance, Dependability and Customer service defines Falcon-Northwest. I will keep coming back to FALCON, they are second to none in my book.
Excellent product you get what you pick and they are fantastic for people who, like me, had always played console and were a noob at gaming PC design but wanted a serious product. Tech support couldn’t be better

I've had myTalon for about 4 years now. From start to finish the process was seamless and quick. I've run into 2 small issues with the cooler failing on my CPU but support has been top tier. Both times they responded quickly, helped me troubleshoot my issues, sent parts overnight so there was minimal downtime and helped me get up and running within a couple days.
Shout out to Brett and Jonathan for helping me out!
There are plenty of companies out there making custom built gaming and creative machines. Many of them are very talented at what they do, and FalconNorthwest is no different. Rest assured, you will get a machine made from your choice of a good spread of hardware options, and it will look clean and excellently assembled, from the paint, to the cable management, to every screw. Shipping materials are carefully designed to make sure your machine gets there safe and sound. No bloat-ware at all to worry about like some other builders either.
What makes Falcon truly stand out from the rest of the pack, is their service and commitment to their machines. I have had a few issues with one of mine, a TLX laptop. On all occasions, Falcon did their best to quickly help over email, and when the issue needed the machine to be sent in, they cover overnight shipping both ways and get it back as soon as possible.
When my TLX model was nearing the end of its warranty and had a reoccurring fan issue show up again for the second time, Falcon went out of their way to send a brand new TLX machine, of the current generation parts and chassis, completely free of charge.
You can buy a great computer anywhere, but you cannot buy the piece of mind you get with Falcon Northwest's support team.

Extremely professional cable management, high quality metal case, delivered on time, computer in perfect condition on delivery and much more positive things that I'm too lazy to type. In short, thank you!

Horrible sales support. No support for military, veterans, contractors, or government personnel who are stationed overseas.
The sales person told me Falcon will not ship to an APO address, period. My credit card address is my APO address and the sales person authenticated that address passed your systems authentication, but he could not use it, because you do not ship to APO addresses.
UPDATE: I have contacted Falcon again and they still state they will not ship to an APO address, but they are "looking" into it again, but it is unlikely to be allowed. Also, the only other available way to pay is a direct wire transfer, which takes away any possibility of the buyer to refute a purchase, or get their money back in the case of an undelivered, broken, or substandard system. A wire transfer is not even a slightly good way for a customer to pay for anything anymore.

I would like to bring to your attention the excellent support I’ve received from the technical team members of Falcon Northwest.
Recently, I have had issues with my Talon. All of my emails are answered within a day and are very detailed, some with photos to further help me understand what actions I have to take. When a telephone conversation is necessary, I have never been rushed nor has there been any indication of too much time being spent by the support staff regarding explanations or instructions. This holds true for all past tech support contacts as this is my second Talon with the first still operating after 14 years.
Ever since purchasing my first Talon, I can’t count the times I’ve told people about the extreme high quality of Falcon Northwest computers and the excellent, above and beyond efforts of the support staff! This also holds true for the sales personnel. When ordering a new computer, they first ask what it will mainly be used for and then suggest which components should be considered. In my experience, when I mentioned I was considering more costly options, they kindly mentioned it really wasn’t needed and I wouldn’t benefit in performance for my needs.
In closing, for all the topics mentioned above, I will continue to recommend Falcon Northwest to anyone who is considering purchasing a new computer!

Before purchasing a computer I emailed support to ask questions that would help inform my purchase. the person I was put in contact with answered my question, read in between the lines and answered questions I wasn't willing to ask outright. when my computer was delayed in was given a clear explanation as to why and how long I could expect to wait. the final thing reason I am giving a five star review for this is that I both know for certain I was speaking with a human and that he wasn't using a script. Thank you Warren Bowdoin!

I have been a customer and fan of Falcon Northwest for over about 15 years. My builds were always essentially maxed out in every area of performance and quality. When I decided to buy a high end gaming laptop for my son I went back to FNW, hyping them up to him as the best of the best. I explained that even though it might be a little more expensive, we could get a monster of a laptop that has a quality on a different level then the mass produced machines of the regular companies. Unfortunately, when I received the laptop I was shocked at the cheap construction. The whole thing is made of flimsy plastic. The screen is supported by a thin piece of plastic and noticeably flexes when it is opened and closed. In most laptops, when you tilt the screen back to it's limit, it tips the laptop back. This feels like if you open it to fast, you will literally snap the screen off. The keyboard feels like some Chinese generic knockoff of a better keyboard. I felt so bad for my son because it looked and felt so cheap. I just started apologizing and getting him to focus on it's performance rather than it's looks. From the beginning I had concerns about its durability. Plastic pieces fell off the hinges in the first month. And then the laptop tipped off a coffee table onto the carpet and landed open on the keyboard and screen. In any other laptop this would have absolute non-issue. But with this laptop it kind of came unglued and all the plastic pieces unsnapped. Seeing the inside where the hinge is glued to the plastic leaves me shaking my head at the design choices. I am an professional engineer who has appreciated Falcon Northwest for the quality of their computers for a long time. I have no idea what happened in the company for them to think that this was the kind of product they wanted to represent their business.
The protection plan doesn't cover accidents, and this was clearly caused by an accident. But the extent of the damage is due to the incredibly poor build quality. Even though this is a brand new computer, I honestly don't know if it is even worth sending back to be fixed.
I purchased a FNW Fragbox about 5 years ago and it's been rock-solid ever since. I never had to use any of their customer service or tech support and I suppose that shows how good this PC was out of the box. It's a really nice blend of power and portability. This will probably remain my form factor for all future primary workstations, though I have decided to have a handy back-up system in addition. I will pick up a DRX laptop this year, I hope it's as stable as my Fragbox.
Follow-up posting: I picked up the FNW DRX laptop a few weeks ago and what a monster it is! A bit on the heavy side but it packs some serious CPU firepower and significant hardware features. The cooling fans are quite interesting, they seem powerful enough to turn the thing into a hovercraft if you crank them up high enough, but they are whisper quiet mostly. I like the dust exhaust feature on start-up, cool idea.

Please, please, please disregard the two obviously angry posts? The ignorant, negative and completely false bashing of Falcon Northwest caught my eye.
I am a lifelong supporter of their truly gifted builders and support staff. I can only imagine how hard it is to deal with some of the crazy ideas people try to have you make. I learned quickly that your entire business model revolves around superior customer support for your superior products. I’m other words—it is in their best interest to make their PCs fast and most importantly reliable.
I don’t want to take the time to write a dumb comment, that nobody is going to read, as much as the next guy!” However, I can’t let that weird “256GB of RAM dude” have the last word.
I think I was Kelt’s 12th customer? Maybe 112, something like that?
This is around 1992—before there was such a thing as a “Gaming PC!”
I needed a video rendering machine, but lacked the tens of thousands needed back then. So they built a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Then technology changed, as it does.
So I had another great machine built.
My first Mach5 outlasted two generations of the inferior gaming PC builders that flooded the market around the turn of the century.
My final Mach IV was and still is a beauty. Which brings me to my main point. The only reason my poor old girl can still run AAA 3D games and render a scene without exploding is the PEOPLE of Falcon Northwest. For those of you who realize what kind of company this is and still don’t like their “callback” policy, I would suggest listening to it. They do call back promptly (well I’m assuming that the Global Pandemic has affected them lately? I’m assuming yes, as it has the entire world…so come on difficult 256 RAM guy? Take it down a notch)
Yes. I am buying another, soon.

In short - received the computer.... Finally. It would better use of your time and money to go elsewhere.
1. Ordered computer: stated 17 days to build.
2. While I was waiting on the build I had questions about the components used in the build.
3. Customer service became defensive and combative and never really answered my questions.
4. Its been 21 days and they still have yet to complete the build.
5. It seems a lot like retaliation for questioning build components.
6. Horrible customer service.
While can certainly appreciate being swamped, workload was not communicated to me anytime during the wait period. In fact, the ship date was stated twice in the email communication. Furthermore, I clearly communicated a business was reliant on the build and could not afford delays. Again, there was no communication from Falcon NW regarding a delay at any point of the dialog or on the status of the build. Help me understand how this is customer centered service and not to be construed as retaliatory? In the end, I will be losing money and do not have the option to wait for another company to build a computer.
Glossy sock puppet reviews from so-called expert sites speak to the effort made to produce a perfect product – for the review, but do not speak to the actual experience. The seasoned company has lost its way and only seems to cater to critics – not the average customer. Will I receive this same dismal service and support if there’s a problem? It certainly seems likely.
Finally received the computer. I had to call and email to get a status on shipping. Its the complete lack of communication and follow-through that most upsets me. They truly do not care for the little guy. I highly suggest you look elsewhere for a computer. Better yet, use their "configure" application to build your computer and then replicate the parts on PCPartPicker to build your system and save about 2k. Otherwise, use Origin or any other boutique builder for your custom solution. Falcon NW simply lacks the capacity or simply refuses to take care of the customer.

First Talon I purchased repeatedly had the Blue Screen of Death. Gave them another chance 5 years later. Now I can't even get the computer. FNW uses UPS for delivery with very limited delivery options. Must be home to sign for it or travel many miles away to pick it up (and only after you demand this option). There are better choices!
I never expected the performance I would get from my Falcon Northwest DRX laptop, it exceeds all expectations. The assistance I received while configuring it and ordering it was personal and outstanding. If you're in the market for a high performance gaming or graphics system I feel you can't do any better
