My first phone call was out of hours. I spoke to an undertaker straight away. No automated phone system. This alone made me feel it was a personal experience and they cared. Respectfully they collected my late father from the care home, on time and allowing the family time.
Sally took over most of the administrative duties, she knows her job well and always keeps you updated.
They chose the Hurst most suited to the floral colours I'd chosen, which on the day you could see they'd taken pride in displaying.
On the morning of the funeral, I rang to ask if we could divert the journey to go past a sentimental childhood park. The driver personally spoke through the route to get it right. Also, if traffic permitted they would stop at the park momentarily. They not only did this, but the added touch was when the undertaker did a walk of respect.
I honestly couldn't fault anything. They made a sad day special.

My sister and I are so very grateful to Adrian, Sally and Jeanette for their caring assistance in organising the funeral of our cousin, Moira Webb on 1 December 2022. In every aspect they exceeded our expectations. We were kept fully informed every step of the way. On the day of the funeral they carried out their duties with great style and dignity. We are also grateful for their suggesting Dorothy Cooper to be the civil celebrant, an inspired choice, she went to endless trouble to collate information about Moira’s long life, creating a unique tribute to her. We have no hesitation in recommending Fair Price Funerals. One sometimes sees hurried, sloppy funerals, Fair Price are the complete opposite in every aspect

‘Fair Price Funerals’ are so much more than that – the name doesn’t really reflect the very high quality of professionalism and of genuinely caring, thoughtful, support that the team provide. At a time when we were looking for funeral plans with a budget in mind, we wondered how this company would compare with other prepaid funerals we have previously purchased at a significantly higher price. It is our perception that the interaction we have had with the FPF team right from the start has been better.

I have personally been impressed with the clarity of information at every point, before we bought the plans, when we purchased the plans and when we had to put one of the plans into operation. Speaking with Sally, Jeanette and Mark on the phone and exchanging emails has always involved sensitive, helpful questions, thoughtful comments and prompt responses with timely, responsive actions.

What was on offer seemed almost too good to be true, to the point that my husband and I drove over the Pennines and checked out the location to make sure the company is real! We saw very clean, bright, well presented, premises with smart, well-polished vehicles standing outside. We felt very reassured and confident by that and proceeded to put our plans in place with FPF.

I was truly impressed by the way in which my father’s funeral was conducted. The hearse looked beautiful and arrived in good time with an absolutely beautiful, immaculate silk flower arrangement on top. Mark and Nick were very smartly and appropriately presented in dignified, tailoring which was tasteful and avoided the appearance sometimes seen at funerals of outfits which look like fancy dress. We all liked the way they interacted with us, treating the occasion with respect and also being friendly. Mark had kindly sorted out the music for the funeral and brought equipment on which it was played. Mark and Nick enabled the service to be relaxed and for everyone to feel that my father’s life had been celebrated properly and that the feelings of all concerned had been considered and valued.

It made a tremendous positive difference to my father for the last year of his long life to know that everything and everyone really was taken care of. Having the plan in place meant that he was able to relax and concentrate on making the most of each day, with nothing to worry about. The same was true for us, his family. Having that peace of mind has been a gift which is beyond price. We cannot thank you enough.

This company recently arranged a family funeral and I found their service exceptional. They arranged a beautiful, dignified funeral at the right price with no hidden extras. They were very compassionate and caring from our first contact and arranged everything easily with no fuss. Nothing was too trivial or to much trouble for them. I recommend them very highly.

We would just like to thank Adrian and his team, especially Sally, for their professionalism and kindness over the loss of my mum, Pat Newton.

We only had a simple funeral, at mum’s request, but it was dealt with perfectly and I have no hesitation to recommend Adrian to anyone.

At a really difficult time losing my Dad this company were great. I had never had to organise a funeral before and they were amazing. They talked us through each step along the way and were always calm and understanding. At no point did it feel like this was a 'cheap or discounted' service.

Absolutely couldn't recommend this company highly enough. At the saddest time in my life, I had to find a funeral director for my Dad, a very daunting experience. I contacted a few different companies but liked the story behind the owner starting this company. They were by far the best priced of all the companies but were offering exactly the same service. I was initially a little concerned until Adrian arrived at our home for our initial meeting and put our minds totally at rest. He recommended Mandy as the Celebrant to do the service. Mandy met us, again in our home, and mum and me knew instantly that she would be perfect. She was absolutely amazing on the day, everyone commented on just how beautiful the service was, not at all stuffy and religious. She came across to everyone as if she had known dad for years!

My only concern was when we posted the obituary in the local paper, I didn’t want to put the company’s name for fear people might thing we were trying to do a cheap funeral. A note to others, suggested by Adrian, is to use the initials!

There is nothing budget about this company other than the price compared to other funeral directors, they were AMAZING. Couldn’t possibly recommend them any higher.
