Order was delivered on time, with care, and the food was great. This was an internal meeting for 45 people. I'm terrible at planning these types of things and ezCater makes ordering very simple.

ezCater makes it easy to place orders and review them. Once orders have been accepted, you can't add too it without editing the whole order. It seemed like it would be a headache for both parties but you can always create another order if that makes things easier. I love the ezRewards points system. I was able to save $47.35 off our total order.
We ordered from Urban Plates. It was a lovely experience. Food was delivered hot. It was like an elevated home cooked meal.

They always keep me updated on my orders, where they are at during delivery travel, on time, always so helpful and kind.

ezCater never disappoints. I have used them for 4 years straight for our holiday party and they deliver every time.

We placed a catering order for 50+ people at The Crack Shack through ezCater. I've had many great experiences prior to this order so I'm still giving 3 stars for past performance but this was hands down a 0 star experience. Our order arrived without the main item from a chicken-focused restaurant...the chicken. I had to scramble with the restaurant to deliver said chicken while everyone in a company-wide meeting endured a sides-only lunch. I'd place most of the blame on the restaurant for not knowing what their catering package consists of, and for the lacking common sense that a catering order wouldn't include their main product. However, I could tell from the restaurant feedback and order slip itself that it didn't explicitly list the line items of the catering package. So ezCater has some blame to accept as well for not making it as easy as possible for a partner to fulfill the order. Don't love giving negative reviews but this was a true disaster of an experience, and hopefully this produces some sort of improvement in process. What the cluck you guys!

Food was great and arrived on time. The problem was they forgot to send the serving utensils even though I listed in multiple places to please include EXTRA of all utensils. Also, I ordered the teriyaki chicken and they forgot the teriyaki sauce… a couple critical errors unfortunately.

The delivery was on time, as usual. I also LOVED the food from Jen's Place and I received everything I ordered, just as I ordered. Thanks!!

I had a same day catering order that did not get accepted on day of. I called ezCater and was helped over the phone. She made sure my order was similar to my original order. This was very appreciated due to the turn around time for a large party, same day, in DECEMBER in DC,

Panera Delivered at 11 am not 11:30 and I have an issue with that! It’s a business lunch and when lunch gets there early, my targets eat early and run! When the lunch gets there when I get there….at 11:30 am, I am able to see and discuss products with everyone and get their signatures which I am required to get per my company!

Delivery is always on time. Never have problems with the order and definitely a Fan Favorite. Always a FIRST lunch choice when we have an On-Site meeting/

The food was left in a breakroom with no notification. After they entered the complex, they must have entered the back door and did not go to the reception desk. I just happened to walk by the kitchen and see my order sitting on a table.

The delivery was right on time, the food was still warm and they gave us ample portions.

EzCater’s business practices place unfair and unreasonable pressure on small food businesses—particularly women- and minority-owned vendors.
Vendors are required to deliver within rigid 15-minute delivery windows that fail to account for real-world conditions such as traffic, building security procedures, elevators, or multi-stop delivery routes. More concerning, delivering even one minute early can automatically result in a 10% price reduction to the customer, with little to no discretion.
Drivers are often instructed to wait in their cars until the delivery window officially opens, regardless of other deliveries on their route or basic respect for their time. As a bakery, our products do not require refrigeration or heating, and many customers actually appreciate early deliveries—something clearly reflected in numerous customer reviews. Yet EzCater penalizes vendors despite positive customer experiences.
EzCater profits directly from these penalties and delivery structures. When EzCater handles delivery, they charge a 15% commission on top of the delivery fee—and vendors are required to absorb that commission not only on the food, but on the delivery itself, even when the vendor delivers on time. This creates a system where the platform benefits financially from chargebacks rather than supporting successful deliveries.
We maintain our own drivers, and they consistently deliver early or on time with zero issues when working directly with clients. The problems arise only through EzCater’s policies—not customer satisfaction or service failures.
Additionally, vendors lack meaningful autonomy. We recently attempted to decline an order from a large public corporation that does not align with our values around diversity, equity, and inclusion, and were not permitted to do so.
These policies shift risk and cost onto small businesses while insulating large corporate buyers from operational realities. The result is downward price pressure that disproportionately harms independent, women- and minority-owned businesses.
Corporations that genuinely want to support local businesses should consider ordering directly from restaurants or bakeries, or using platforms that respect vendor autonomy and fair operations.
If you currently order through EzCater, we encourage you to rethink where your dollars go—and how those platforms treat the small businesses you rely on.

EZ Cater takes the worry out of having anything catered. My orders arrive exactly as expected, on time, and I am notified of every step of the way.
My recent order was a delivery of bacon and sausage from EatZi's. People came up to me saying it was the best bacon! It was hickory smoked thick sliced. Highly recommend ordering EatZi's on the EZCater app.

My experience with excater was very convenient. Ordering food for a group was easy, the delivery was on time and everything arrived exactly as requested. It's a reliable choice for catering needs.
