Ordered a lantern and one of the glass pieces sent was the wrong size. Had to get the fitter out a 2nd time and when I emailed asking for a contribution to the cost was ignored a couple of times, and then a dismissive response that it wasn’t their problem.

What they sell as an Eos rod lantern is actually a Korniche lantern which you can get elsewhere.

Overall I’d be unlikely to use them again

I never normally leave reviews, but on this occasion I felt it an absolute must!! I raised a service call to head office in relation to my sliding doors not opening properly, I got a call, the appointment was booked, they arrived today promptly as promised.
The service guys were very polite and friendly, got straight to it and my doors were fixed in less than 20 minutes- brilliant service. I still to this day recommend Express Bifolding doors, yes you paid a bit more but you cannot put a price on good quality and superb after care which Express delivers in abundance - undoubtedly the best in the business, thanks again!

From the moment we walked into the Express Bi Fold showroom in Essex, even without an appointment, we were so well looked after by Dominic Grimshaw, who spent over an hour or so talking about what we were wanting and options we had. Dominic was very knowledgable and advised us what would be best for us, and never at any point did we feel we were being sold more than what was needed. I really did feel that he was advising and looking after us in a way that he would have wanted to be looked after, if the shoe was on the other foot. After our initial visit, and a few more emails and phone calls we placed our order, and the process since then has been really smooth and if we did have any questions Dominic was always on hand to answer them. Recently had our survey which was also easy to book and now waiting on our order to come through. Although Dominic has relocated to the Leeds branch, this has not stopped him providing the same level of excellent service. Would highly recommend Bi Fold Express and more importantly getting Dominic to help you along your journey

From start to finish this has been an awful, excruciating and upsetting experience. From waiting months for them to even complete the survey after 3 surveyors came out - all of them didn’t have a clue about the last, through to the instal which was over a month late, then they told us the reveals weren’t correct (they were) to them finally coming to install end of November (I chose the windows and doors in July!). To me finding blood all over my door, cracked glass, doors they had manufactured incorrectly - so I now have a boarded up space for French doors and have to clean up someone’s blood and maybe someone will call me about how they’ve damaged my ill fitting front door. After spending over £20K with this company I would never recommend them or come back. Staff are rude, no one knows what they are doing, they lie to you about service.. not an apology or a refund so far, I’ve even emailed the owner of the company and received nothing back. This ongoing saga means I may not be in my property before Christmas despite paying and choosing product in July!

Naz from Express Bifold, his service is exceptionally excellent. I was in a real dilemma about placement of my doors in a space where I wasn't sure how they would look. He answered every little query I had. I went back and forth numerous times and not once did he sound impatient. I couldn't commit to the product and that was not an issue for him, he went the extra mile to ensure I had the information I needed to make the right choice for my room. It's all about how a company deals with problems when they arise after sale as to whether they are worth dealing with. Our doors were installed 8 years ago and on three occasions since, we have had to get Express back - twice in the warranty and once outside - on each occasion they fixed the problem with little fuss, all staff friendly, quick responses to emails and helpful from the time of notification through to the guy who came out to fix the problem. A very satisfied customer who is delighted with this his original decision to employ them.!

I would like to say a huge thank you to the team in Leeds!!! I contacted them regarding a spare part for my bi-fold doors. The level of customer service was outstanding! They were very helpful and friendly and managed to source the part I needed. Nothing was too much trouble and I came off the call feeling like a valued customer. A lot of other companies could learn a lot from Express Bi-folds about great customer service!!!

I had bifolding doors fitted 11 years ago and am still completely happy with them. I recently had a small issue with them which was resolved very swiftly by customer services, even though they were out of warranty. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to order sliding patio doors from Express Bifold doors as they are relatively local to our area, and we were able to visit the showroom. The price, including fitting appeared to be considerably higher than like for like products but we were assured that we would be getting a high-quality product despite the guarantee offered which was shorter than that offered by rival companies such as Vufold. Following an initial survey, we were required to prepare the building’s aperture to the fitter’s requirements, so we did. An afternoon installation date was arranged on a specific date. The fitters arrived in the morning and were requested to return in the afternoon, as arranged, so they sat it out in their van. Following installation, it became apparent that one of the panes of glass had a manufacturing fault (an ingrained stain). Several weeks later, after a few phone calls, we arranged a date to change the faulty glass. A requested morning appointment wasn’t possible so we were given word that the fitters would arrive around midday at latest-they arrived at 3.00pm.
Express Bifold charge an inflated price and inferior service for products that can be purchased from other companies offering a longer warranty. My advice is to purchase elsewhere for a longer warranty and if you can source your own fitter, you will save a great deal of money.

Excellent treatment by tracking down a lock for an early version of the doors. And fitted expertly by the engineer, Richard. geat service!

Extremely dissatisfied with service.
The doors are fantastic, however the fitting experience & follow up afterwards is shocking.
We were told that it’s Express Bi Folding Doors persons who fit the doors & not subcontractors (possibly the case in England, but not Scotland). It was subcontractors (joiners) who fitted the door & the experience was shocking. Subcontractor asked for photos of opening (hole) & ground levels day before fitting & told me it didn’t look correct. He said if it was Express’s fault they would sort. So I’m thinking, if it was ours, then we’ve got a huge hole where a door should be & £££’s out of pocket. So it’s safe to say we didn’t sleep well that night. When they did arrive the next day (April 23), Subcontractors tried to pick faults in building structure & said warranty would be invalid due to lintel.
(I ended up paying wks later for a structural engineer to look over it, he confirmed it was all correct & no issue).I waited for the follow-up phone call to arrive (the small balance is paid after fitting, so I thought they would phone me any day) nothing for over 7 months. I relayed this to Express follow up team who said they would look into it. 1 YEAR 6 MONTHS later I get a special delivery letter demanding the small balance be paid.
I promptly phoned them & told them I was notified warranty invalid by subcontractor & you never got back to me after our previous conversation over a yr ago.
So why should I pay the small balance (£230) which was validating the warranty which I was told was Null & Void by the Subcontractor. To my surprise, they had a record of only part of our Conversation in April, the warranty note was not mentioned.

They said, we can’t see anything noted. Pay your balance.

The buying experience & doors are very good but everything in between is shocking.
Going by other feedback on Trust Pilot, this sees to be a common trait.

I worry who will come out to fix door if I ever have an issue.

We are unsure what the issue is here as there is no reason whatsoever for the guarantee to be Null and Void and we have not once advised of this. Additionally, we’ve never had any record of what you’ve stated within your review.
I WAS TOLD BY “YOUR” FITTER WHO ASKED MY WIFE TO SIGN HIS PAPERWORK TO CONFIRM FITTING COMPLETE & WARRANTY VOIDED. (THIS PAPERWORK CAN’T BE OBTAINED FROM EXPRESS)

If there were issues on site we would have expected these to be reported at the time, or at least sooner, as raising them after we pursue the balance makes it appear you’re attempting to avoid paying the outstanding balance.

You state in your review that you will remove the post if we satisfy your complaint, but as we said earlier we are unsure what your complaint is, although it does seem to be around the guarantee which from our perspective is not an issue.

Great after care service from Danny Pickering. Our doors have been in for some time now and we had a broken catch. Danny sent one out free of charge

Stunning doors fitted by the team. Great service from start to finish. Very helpful with aftersales too when we needed some spare trim to fit above our side door which we were offered free of charge. The company is a pleasure to deal with and nothing is too much trouble.

Contacted the After Sales team for replacement rubber trims due to our new puppy chewing them! We’ve had our doors for 5 years and have had no issues at all. The team were super helpful and I am so glad they have this after sales service. Thank you.

We had our bifolding doors fitted in late 2022, as a key wow piece after our side return was completed. They really look great, they’re also very sturdy and easy to use and lately, when we had a minor issue with the keyhole, Danny and his team got back to us immediately and fixed everything in no time, free of charge. Highly recommended!
