Easily a 5 star review. I have hosted my business website with Evohosting for several years. They are always quick to respond to any enquiries and resolve any technical issues. I can’t fault them and highly recommend using their services.
I really cannot complain about the level of customer service I have received for a recent ongoing difficult issue. Quick responses to my emails, along with effective fixes to resolve the problem.
I have had between 5 and 10 hosted domains over the years with Evohosting and haven't had any issues with their customer service.
Highly recommended.
Having used Evo Hosting for over 8 years now I am appalled at how their service has dropped down year after year.
At first the support email replies were prompt and helpful but after the first 3 years the service just went down hill. Longer waiting times for tickets, multiple staff replying to each reply meaning I would have to re-explain myself from what I have already said earlier taking longer to fix the issue.
Recently one of my sites had infected files which they shut down all of my hosting for. I was glad they raised the issue but took 18 hours to reply to me, even when I asked to show me what they found they couldn't explain and kept giving excuses. My sites were down for a total of 1 week and when they put me back live they didn't do it correctly, lucky I knew they overwrote my main htaccess file and I fixed it myself.
Even when I went to leave and cancel a page appears asking you to email "the.management@evohosting" so I did. 2 weeks later and no reply. When I raised a ticket explaining this the colleague said "oh yeah that email address doesn't exist.." I raised my query with support about my issues and was just told I was wrong. No apology or reason to stay on.
If you want a provider who takes 12-18 hours to half reply to support issues please join these guys, I promise after 1 year you will be sick of them. Please look elsewhere first...
Evo hosting used to be a OK but over the past couple of years the service has degraded to nothing.
Support tickets are ignored and the phone goes unanswered. The servers are slow and overloaded, If you complain your ticket will be ignored. The only thing that works reliably is the invoicing system because that's all they care about.
Do yourself a favour and keep looking.
I use Evo for hosting a number of sites and domains. Fifteen years ago I used to use Pipex, which then became Heart Internet, but the bigger it became the poorer the customer service. I find Evo tech support to be prompt, polite and accurate, answering queries quickly and in full. People actually seem to know what they're talking about. I'm reasonably tech savvy and don't really have time for support advisers who do little more than cut-and-paste from the FAQ without reading the question. I haven't found any of this at Evo, and believe me I've tried many different hosting companies over the last 15 years. So good job Evo.
I originally started hosting websites and emails with them back in 2010 the service over the last few years has deteriated beyond belief. I've lost clients because of poor service!
Have fully moved everything away from them now.
Poor, steer clear.
Have been with them since 2010. The last 12 months or so support has been appalling, slow response (days) and unhelpful. Have now given up on them and moved to another host.
What the hell has happened to EVO?
Been a customer since 2015 and slowly over time the company has gone way down hill.
Over the 2 years our company has grown, which required us to upgrade services more than once.
During the 3 moves I can remember we've had issues with all of them.
The issued being caused by laziness or incompetence.
Many nights I've had to pay my own engineer team to sit and fix issues we pay EVO to manage.
Depending on the engineer you get assigned, you'll either face palm, or smile with joy!
When we started out, support tickets were answered within an hour and the support agent was knowledgable.
Now, it takes 5 hours (still counting) to get a reply. Unless I phone them, I get crap support.
Even when on the phone I have to push my way to get to the people who know what they are doing!
My whole company is now considering taking the whole thing in house as our server is constantly going offline or taking forever to respond. What is even more worrying, when our server goes offline, the whole of EVO's does as well.
How much can I trust an server company if they can't even keep their own servers online!
I was a bit confused with the array of different choice for a website host, but I have to say Evo Hosting have offered me fabulous, prompt and friendly service for an error that wasn't even theirs - it was mine!
Customer service is important to me, and I would recommend and use them again - to know that I have their support if I have any problems is invaluable.
Had my hosting account and all my critical emails disabled on run up to Christmas due to malicious files on their server, given it was run up to christmas support was difficult to get hold of and vague and useless.
No proper support given and was mostly ignored and told to find a security expert as they don't help at all for such issues
I recently had a technical problem with my email. I'm a technical person and usually have difficulty getting the correct level of support from tech support departments. However in this instance the service was excellent and super fast, My email was fixed within an hour or so.
very impressed.
As a non-technical person I have always had good fast support from Evohosting even when the problem has been due to my own error. I have been a client for about 6 years and highly recommend them.
I have been a customer since 2009 and have decided its time to move on.
They used to be excellent but things are getting a lot worse of late.
Their latest really irritating move is implementing strict mod_security rules which can block you IP address in the middle of working on the site and all sorts of things fail to work.
They had a server swap last October which turned out to be a complete disaster for us. They unilaterally decided to "retire" our dedicated IP address and it was weeks before the site was running again properly.
The first of the mod_security lockouts occurred in December and we have just been through another. It is a total pain and right in the middle of working on the site.
Really, they are shooting themselves in their foot, from what used to be excellence they have become a total pain.
I have been with EvoHosting for a good while now, hosting all of my own adn my client's websites and have had no problem with them, in fact they are actually an amazingly great hsoting company when it comes to service and support and I would normally recommend them to everyone.
However, in the past week, one of their customer service advisors, Adam, admittedly gave out sensitive personal/financial information of my account to one of my clients, against UK Data Protection legislation.
They had no right, authorisation or legal basis in which to do so and as such this type of activity could have a huge impact on any small business. Their handling of the affair when challenged was poor to say the least, dismissing teh seriousness of the incident and altogether not replying to my last contact with them.
Although I continue to host with them for the time-being, as their service is good. I would advise caution when it comes to trusting them with sensitive data.
Been a very happy customer of Evohosting for years without a problem. Great prices and great service from people who know what they are doing.
