Bad Concept - Mid Gym

It already starts with problems at the entrance. There are no staff members in the gym; everything is fully digital, so you have to enter through a turnstile/airlock system. However, only one person can pass through at a time, which leads to a queue just to get inside. The same system is also required to exit the gym. That means queues form inside as well—you can’t simply leave through a door but have to enter a code again to get out.

Once inside, you are required to change into sports shoes because street shoes are not allowed. This means you enter the gym in sports shoes and street clothes, then walk to the changing room to take off the shoes again, change your clothes, and then put the sports shoes back on. This process is completely unnecessary and poorly designed.

After that, there are no lockers inside the changing rooms themselves. You have to leave the changing room and use a shared locker area together with women. There are only about 30 lockers in total, which is far too few. On top of that, the lockers do not have electronic locks (e.g. via a membership card). Instead, you need to bring your own padlock and carry the key with you throughout your entire workout.

The equipment itself is good and well maintained, but there is only one of each machine.

Overall, this feels like an unnecessary, overly capitalistic concept. The experience is comparable to searching for customer support on a website and being endlessly redirected to an FAQ page instead of getting real help.

Caution

Caution! Intentionally hidden payment terms after trial to lead people into extensive payment cycles.

I signed up for a trial in Berlin, but didn't enjoy the vibe of the studio. It is very futuristic and automated and without staff, which felt uncomfortable to me. So I decided not to visit again. However, for the trial I received multiple Emails, amongst which there was a hardly noticeable term that the trial automatically converts into a very expensive payment plan (EUR70/month). I did not visit even once after the trial and did not notice the monthly withdrawal for a while. There was no Email or other kind of notification informing me about the payments, and I never even received an invoice via Email.
This is an intentional manner of abusing people's trust to make significant revenue. For this alone, I can absolutely not recommend this provider as a trustworthy or customer caring company.

Worst customer experience I ever had

Worst customer experience I ever had. After signing up for a free trial on their website to test their gym once I got automatically signed up for 6 months of paying 50€/month.

Nothing clear on their website saying that I was going to commit for 6 months (it's not really a free trial, it's try once and pay for 6 months if you don't cancel in the next 3 days, I think, apparently).

I realised the problem on my bank account after 3 months (no email warned me about this). During the entire email exchange that followed to ask them to 1) stop right now the subscription for a gym I never go to 2) reimburse the hundreds of euros I paid for a service I've never used, they have proceeded to shamelessly reject all my claims in a cold, non-understanding way that I've never seen in any half-decent customer service.

I have paid 250€ now for a service I have never used, this company literaly extorts its customers.

Avoid at all costs.

ACHTUNG!

ACHTUNG! Unethical & greedy company milking you for every possible cent. I am charged 50 EUR 10 (TEN!!) months AFTER I signed up for an INTEREST in a FREE trial membership in a new gym opening in summer 2023 that had not been opened yet, but never signed up for membership itself, never entered their gym/building, never picked up any membership card and never have been emailed about anything or charged anything before! This is all happening 10 months afterwards! They, including the gym and marketing managers, do not reply to any of my email inquires and just keep silent. As other people in their Google reviews will warn you as well, they are even so shameless and tell you to eat s...t, tell you they got you "signed up" in a contract, that is the way the world is running and reject any wrongdoing in their replies. They also start to get a collection agency involved if you do not pay. Read it for yourself. Think twice if you want to give money to these kind of ruthless people who act so irresponsible. All they care about is taking your money. Everything else is just show.
