I recently used European Removal Services for my move from the UK to Spain, and their service exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, their communication was excellent, keeping me updated every step of the way. The team was professional, friendly, and handled my belongings with great care. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience, from the initial discussions to understand my requirements an decide the most appropriate service for my needs, to the drivers professionalism and helpfulness when it came to collection and delivery.

It’s worth noting that I wasn’t present for e either collection or delivery, so there was an extra layer of coordination, but both me and the collection/delivery contracts were kept well updated to help us ensure that everything went smoothly.

I also really valued the guidance provided when it came to completing the customs declaration to bring the items from the EU, making the process much less stressful.

In short, I would recommend European Removal services and will definitely be using them again should I have the need in future.

I hired this service to move my belongings from London to Spain in Sept 2024. It was the most awful experience, from beginning to end. Head office's communication with me and with its drivers was poor. Just one example: On the day of the move itself (a Sunday), the drivers arrived nearly 2 hours before the agreed time, without bubble wrap to pack my kitchen items as we had agreed weeks before. I had to give them what bubble wrap I had, which I was using to wrap my beloved armoire. The armoir arrived gashed and they failed to work with the local movers in Spain to transport it up a flight of stairs, leaving gashes in the stairwell walls. The arrogance with which I was met when I reported this to head office was extremely disappointing (I was even accused of 'not even being present' at my flat in Spain during the move, which was false, and that I was somehow at fault for their shoddy work. I could go on and on.

I was initially a bit sceptical but after doing some online research (with other removal companies) I opted for them. Glad I did it, I'm more than happy with the whole removal experience - communication was very fluid from the beginning, timescales were very reasonable and all went as agreed. Needless to say I'd contract them again. Thank you again to European Removal Services for a very efficient, professional and friendly removal service.

We recently moved from London to Luxembourg and I wanted to thank Wayne and his team for the excellent service they provided for us moving from London to Luxembourg last week. I understand this is their everyday job and normal for them to move whole households around Europe but for me it was a very big thing that made me very stressed. Recently I searched for companies who could quote me to move some personal items along with my vast collection of music CDs/Albums/Music DVDs and collection of books on artists/bands. The volume was not that large but the weight was nearly 2000Kgs. Neil dealt with my quotation, answered all my questions swiftly, offering advice on every aspect of the move, could not ask for a more helpful person. On the day of the move, well....I could not ask for 2 more helpful, attentive and obliging people. They did not allow me to lift a finger to help them. Everything was loaded onto the van in no time and I have to say, they, and Neil, are a credit to this company. Everything arrived in Holland, where again the 2 gentlemen did all the unloading. Personally I cannot fault the service I received from all involved, the price was competitive and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone seeking quality service and pricing

These guys were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They’re polite, professional and provide excellent service for a very reasonable price. I moved my stuff from the UK to Ireland, and it was a fair amount of stuff too, and they were ready to deliver it to me so quickly, I was so impressed. I’m already planning to use their services again to move more stuff!

Wayne and the team were very helpful in helping me prepare the removal of several boxes and items of furniture (including a piano) from the Uk to France. They were efficient, reliable and friendly although their team did not arrive equipped for moving a piano and they struggled to transport it to the lorry, scratching themselves and it in the process.
All the furniture and boxes were delivered safely and all communications with Wayne and Neil were promptly responded to.
I commend their helpfulness and professionalism.

AMENDMENT:
No sooner than my review below was submitted I was addressed by Wayne from European Removal Services Ltd. Wayne is (a) customer advisor and so has been already known to me as a polite, service related as well as obliging assistant. He conveyed the proposal of giving me another 200 GBP as complement to the former compensation.

As all I hoped for is a fair somehow acceptable loss settlement (when bad things had happened anyway as they simply can do without a question) I agreed on this in exchange for a more placid review. Thus, correspondingly to the state of affairs I complement my former lines and alter the scoring from one to four stars in favour of European Removal Services Ltd. after about two weeks. This in the hope to could have met more justice with regard to the sides involved (including the consumer’s). It had no further influence on this review but yet has to be mentioned that ultimately and kindly 250 GBP were transferred to me.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Moving from the continent to Ireland last month I let this run by European Removal Services which cost me quite dearly. First all was fine and their website is quite expedient and informative. Problems began with the actual organisation. So European Removal Services had still not been able to notify a date for the moving three days before the day of collection of the goods then. And at the day of the collection they still could not advice the day of delivery which made things a bit unpleasantly nerve-stretching. The main problem turned out to be the damaging of the furniture (and walls) though.

On arrival at Ireland it proved that three of three standard lamps had perished (bent, torn or destroyed), a Hi-Fi tuner was literally squeezed, a bicycle lamp twisted, amongst other things. I mean it simply lies in the nature of things that I detected that my amplifier (matching as well as packed together with the tuner) was out of order (no power) and that 10 (‘ten’) spokes of the back wheel of my second bike was broken only a few days later (all was asserted against European Removal Services within a fortnight at the latest though). Yet the latter was conceded as caused while the moving as little as a splintered sofa foot which had been shown to the staff of the moving company immediately. By the way, the damaging of the sofa happened chiefly because at first the workers dismissed my advice to bring the sofa out via the balcony (which turned out to be no problem from the first floor later on then) and tried the way through the staircase instead.

It comes a bit as a final highlight that the workers had lowered the truck in order to facilitate the delivery. Unfortunately, they forgot about to relift the lorry again on departure which resulted in scratching over the concrete and a damaged edge of the drive. To remark that the according photographs would mainly show a bit of disordered gravel was somewhat stark though as they should serve to demonstrate that the track of the transporter had continued in its state to drag further on the national road, too. However, obviously according to the staff, nothing like that had happened.

For whatever reason exactly European Removal Services eventually amounted the overall mischief to a total of 450 GBP (40 GBP per affected item). After an excess waived with respect to the insurance I was finally paid 200 GBP as compensation though this covers the actual loss overall by roughly merely a third I say.

Thus, if one has to undertake a corresponding moving it might be appropriate to consider to have some witnesses by your side at any time. Maybe better terms and conditions of the insurance should be considered. Or else.

Cannot praise this company highly enough. I recently had to arrange shipments from London to Hull and to Thessaloniki. The prices from European Removal Services for each move were reasonable and every aspect of the service excellent. From Martin's oversight of the costing through Neil's management of the two shipments, communication was prompt and spot-on. My family was also impressed by the care taken by the movers themselves. Only one item was damaged in a total of about 75 boxes/pieces of furniture — and that was the glass on a framed picture that I broke in our London garage. Definitely a five-star operation.

I would like to make a special mention of our recent removal that was organized & coordinated by the European Removal Services Ltd. We have just moved from UK to Spain on a shared load basis, which initially gives you a bit of a worry simply because you don’t know how this would work when your goods get shipped with other removals all in 1 lorry. However, it has been a very reliable experience from day 1 when the price proposal was shared with us, the pickup date that was confirmed more than two weeks in advance and adhered to, very friendly staff who packed everything up, they made the day very pleasant and comfortable for us, especially knowing it’s already stressful enough living in the middle of a removal. The delivery schedule in Spain was announced also well in advance, and again the vans arrived right on the dot of the agreed arrival time, again friendly staff, and unloaded very quickly and carefully. Overall, Neil from European Removal Services Ltd has managed the removal for us very professionally, he kept us always updated on the progress, he always responded very timely to any queries we sent to him, he has been instrumental in securing reliable timelines at both ends, always transmitted to us great confidence in how everything was being organised and managed. And last but not least: the invoice was exactly as per original price proposal quoted to us by Neil . So a well-deserved 5-star rating from us!! And many thanks Neil and the crew, for having made this a very smooth experience for us.

Great service and very competitively priced.

Excellent company, we moved from Cornwall to Crete which is a challenge, especially roads and access in Crete but everything turned up on time and no damage. Both groups of movers were great, loading was done brilliantly, the extra help in ensuring all items were packed and covered correctly was really appreciated and the guys dropping off were quick, polite and professional so I really good experience.
They were cheaper than virtually everyone else I tried and worked to the dates I had, not working to dates that suited them which was a big plus.
Thanks to everyone who was part of the process, the communication was brilliant so I would definitely recommend them.

I was moving a small load from France to the UK and had set dates for collection and delivery. The quote was reasonable, additional porters were arranged, I was ably supported in preparing import duty and tax declaration and payment, and both collection and delivery was very smooth. I felt that the delicate furniture was well looked after during the moves as well as in storage. Nothing was too much trouble for the moves team.
