Domain and hosting renewal

I was advised well in advance of the expiry date of our hosting agreement and domain name renewal. Such that I was confident that there would be no gap in service.

Selling not available domain and strangw refund process

I wanted to buy the domain. Eurodns showed that it's available. I paided for it by card...After one day I got the response that it's unavailable.... That's reserved. I made some digging and it came up that this domain was not avaialable since 6 years....
And this was not the end.
They wrote me that they are returning my money to the eurodns prepaid account which I never used... Do to get the money back I had to write once again...
Strange customer experience.

Avoid like the plague

As an existing customer, I registered a new domain name on their site for the standard, advertised price of around 40 Euros. It was a domain very specific to my own name and of NO likely interest to anyone else on the planet. After 'accepting' the registration, taking my money, it was then cancelled by them a few days later and my money refunded. No explanation. They then re-posted it for sale as a 'Premium' domain for over 600 Euros, inviting me to buy it again at the new Premium price. Pretty obvious why. This is basically criminal behaviour. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole again. Avoid.

Dear Gus. We've been unable to locate your customer record so I'd like to invite you to contact support@eurodns.com so we can communicate directly.

However, just to be clear. Registries have premium domains that they decide rather than us at a price they decide. Most of the time we are able to find the price before you attempt to register it but sometimes for a number of technical reasons we cannot find it. Obviously, where a domain is more expensive, we can't just pay the difference ourselves so we give you the opportunity to decide if you want to have the domain. I can assure you that had the premium process made the connection to the registry, the price would have been what it was offered to you later for.

Without being able to find the order in question, I'm not able to give any specific info but if you email the address above and mention Trustpilot we'll do our best to see what happened and what we can do to resolve this satisfactorily.

Domain anonymity service is flawed

Domain anonymity service at EuroDNS has a magnificent flaw: While acquired for the same duration as the domain, it expires conveniently "before" so if you ever leave EuroDNS, your Details will be briefly revealed. And since other craping data companies store that indefinitely ... well. you better stay an EuroDNS.
Customer Service was ignorant or incapable of understanding the problem.

Dear S.M.

We are struggling to track down your interaction with the support team. If you could contact us on support@eurodns.com and mention Trustpilot, someone will look into the specific issue and see if there's an option for learning.

In general, domain privacy has to be removed prior to transferring away. The reason for this is that without this there would be a large number of domains using our service which we have no ability to manage from the standpoint of legal issues. For the most part, if your new provider allows you to use their privacy service without having a domain with them, you could update the contacts prior to transfer which would resolve your concern.

Thanks

I bought a domain from eurodns for Euro…

I bought a domain from eurodns for Euro 18. They have confirmed my purchase order. They collected money from me. Every thing went well. After few hours later, they told that my order has been cancelled and stated that the domain bought by me is a premium domain.

Eurodns is cheating the interested buyers like this. Hence I recommend not to buy any domains from Eurodns.

Dear Kaveri Vedula

We're sorry you had a poor experience. As outlined below, sometimes a technical issue prevents us getting the premium pricing for a domain. In those circumstances, rather than bill you the extra without warning and without EuroDNS having to lose money, we cancel the order, refund you and allow you to place the order at the correct price if you so wish.

Bought a domain

Bought a domain. Then it got "classed" as "premium". £600 - and they cancelled my purchase.

Dear B Bal,

As we have detailed in the email to you, unfortunately, sometimes there are small issues with communication with the registry which prevent us retrieving the premium domain prices. As such, if we spot there is a problem in the pricing when we attempt to register the domain, we stop the process and contact the customer to ensure they wish to pay the new, increased amount. As you can imagine, if we had charged you 600e for this domain without warning, you'd have been understandably upset. Likewise, we cannot just absorb the increased price as we'd lose a significant amount of money.

We hope you understand.

Regards

Highly recommended.

Extremely happy. Clean customer-friendly website, simple procedures, fast and reliable confirmations - and no aggressive marketing. The exact opposite from my experience with one of EuroDNS' American competitors. Highly rercommended.

Frustrated

Technically everything went as planned. Maybe sooner than planned? The domain content was to be imported to another domain, before transfer. Can't do that now. That's not so good.
Unfortunately, the issue was over a weekend and no one has come back to me Monday. Need support. Please.
Very frustrated. Not a technical person.
