Especially when Eurail passes are on sale they are great value and still one of the best ways to get around Europe.

Amazing experience as always. Most comfortable well connected trains to travel at a fraction of the regular cost if you plan properly. In two days I visited 5 countries

My mobile phone was stolen when I was already in Europe. No replacement phone, too late to get a paper pass. Rapid response to my request for refund so I could continue my trip by paying directly for tickets.

Stefan , many thanks.
We are planning our first Eurail trip and your colleague Stefan Simpson was remarkably helpful.

It was a great experience. The main issue is the transfer point, which is too short, meaning not enough time to transfer to another train.

Highly recommend! Cannot thank Eurail enough for how much it made our UK and Europe trip seamless, quick and easy when planning and booking trips ahead or on-a-fly. Responsive and keeps us updated on service status. Well done!

Was fairly easy to figure out how to use the website. And th trains ran on time and were very comfortable.

This was a trip I took with 10 students, most of whom had never traveled abroad and none of whom had ever used Eurail. It was terrific. We traveled in Austria, France, and Germany. We only had one time when we couldn't get a 1st class reservation, but we were still able to get seated in the same cabin. I use Eurail all the time when I travel in Europe, which is usually once or twice a year. There are only two things I would say: 1) it would be nice if we were able to book more than 9 reservations at a time. It becomes challenging to keep the group together when we have to book some separately. 2) There are some issues currently with repairs being done on the trains in Germany, especially around Frankfurt. My suggestion is relax, be flexible, and it will work out fine. Can't wait for the next trip!

Eve was a wonderful help. She really helped us through some miss activated passes and that saved our trip!!

The convenience was, at times great, but the inability to reserve seats and added cost they required really soured our tastes for the passes. You also have to use them pretty frequently to "get your monies worth" out of them.

If you are traveling through several European countries, the Eurail pass is very effective and efficient. You can buy individual country passes and use their planning software but that would be extremely cumbersome. One critisism however is the process to purchase seat reservations through Eurail. It is expensive and not always available.

The Eurail 1st class passes plus seat reservations made for a total stress-free travel during our 11-day Christmas Vacation.

The train and the service are amazing. The app could be improved a lot. Making reservations is tedious process, sometimes you even have to go to the station in person - that's the only way to make a reservation in some countries, if you are on a EURail pass. Even online reservations are broken, too many providers for reservations, and a clunky process. Takes a while to get it done. Separate QR code for reservation and the ticket are also inefficient.

My trip started in Frankfurt for the Ambiente trade fair. Being on a continuous pass meant I didn’t have to worry about counting "travel days." If I wanted to take a quick train to a nearby town after the fair or change my departure time to Switzerland at the last minute, I could.

It was my first time using Eurail. The train staff person checking tickets was extremely rude in only the way a French person can be. Extremely impatient and verbally abusive while I tried to figure out, without his help, what exactly he was asking for. I showed him one thing and that wasn’t what he wanted. I was unaware of the process. A simple explanation and a bit of guidance - basic customer support and service - would’ve resolved the issue immediately. Instead, he insisted on shouting words in French that I didn’t understand. The whole experience was very embarrassing, not least for Eurail. I’m telling everyone I know about the experience in hopes that they save their money and time and stress and just drive themselves. And we wonder why people prefer to just drive themselves. No service.

Buying the first class Eurail pass was one of the best decisions we made on our Europe trip BUT the app/ticket/seat allocation was definitely NOT a stress free experience as you advertise!!! The rail inspectors have absolute NO tolerance for any sort of delay in you not being able to get your pass asap from the App! It needs to be simplified and ticket details should be provided on opening the app. We were in the habit of getting a screenshot of the ticket to make it easier and less stressful when the inspector came!!
We did have an issue in Italy when the train ticket system was down and we accidentally double booked our tickets. Be aware not all tickets are refundable!

The choice of train is vast with multiple timing options. The app is very easy to use and information is just at the tip of your finger. A very good app for traveler.

It was super being sure i was able to get on a train. No matter the time of day. The security and peace of mind was a win.
The days calculated on the trip were incorrect, I don't know, why or what was incorrect. I had to purchase an extra 3 days at the end of my trip as I ran out of days. It was strange.
Definitely the way to travel in Europe for a visitor.

I could never get my app to work. I had trouble every time I tried to use a ticket. I had to go to the office. They said they couldn’t help. I went to the station master. They said they couldn’t help. It was a waste of time and it was terrible. My 15 days out of two months. I only could use one day. Nothing ever worked after that. The only good news was after working with the helpdesk. They finally refunded my money.
