Tried essie ballet slippers with strong start base coat. Polish so thin, never seen a nail varnish that looks like water in the bottle when tipping it sideways. Put 2 thin coats and streaky, awful. Don't think 10 thin coats would even this out. Will use base coat and top coat as will do as no colour but will revert to usual nail polishes which are cheaper. Total disappointment and wished I'd read other reviews before wasting my money!

I was dissatisfied with the product. Price was fairly expensive for a nail polish that chipped daily. Polish cost 12/14$. I could have purchased a cheap polish instead. The colors are nice but the wear is less than subpar. Won’t purchase again

Incredibly disappointed in Essie's new nail polishes lately. For how expensive they are, they shouldn't STAIN YOUR HANDS after removing it with polish remover...

The new expressie line in color 505 is horrible, my fingers and palms are still stained. I have never been more disappointed in a polish in my life.

Thought i would try the New glass nail polish having read some reviews on the colour CinCin and I was not disappointed this colour is like juicy fruit an gorgeous glassy shine absolutely love it

Very bad experience not recommend low service

After deciding to stop having shellac at a salon anymore due to my nails being left brittle and sensitive,I bought the Essie range step 1 and 2. I can honestly say the results are fab. I use the Good as New as a basecoat followed by 2 coats of polish and 1 of the topcoat. Wouldn't use any other brands now. The nude colours are great.

Don't waste your money. I bought two colours and a top coat. The first "colour" looked identical to the top coat....so that was a wasted choice!
The second colour did not cover well, even after two coats. It looked streaky and very unsatisfactory.
BUY ANOTHER BRAND

Essie nail polish is absolute rubbish. Very expensive nail polish which is, in reality, cheap and nasty. It doesn't cover the nail in two coats as advertised. It's patchy, streaks and doesn't dry. It is easily chipped and marked even with the step two coat. I'm surprised that Boots endorse the rubbish.

Nice to apply. I did two coats of the Blue then added the top gel coating all as instructed, last night at around 9pm.
it is still quite transparent (will try three coats next time) and now the next morning I can see the top coat is already showing marks and scuffs with minimal activity. Sealed the edges but considering the results after a few hours, I'm doubtful it will last the number of days stated.

I love your gel couture!
BUT already when only one third is used it is hard to get polish on the brush because it is way too short.
Really bad custumer service!

Ongoing issue with a faulty nail varnish and still no resolution after weeks of back and forth. Sent all requested photos multiple times, even asked for a box the product never came in. Extremely poor customer service. Will never buy Essie again and do not recommend.

Colour does not go on smoothly at all. Followed instructions, 2 thin coats and top coat but coverage is poor and looks streaky/patchy. Can't comment how long it lasts yet but not sure I want it to! At £22 I expected much better, have had better coverage at a tenth of the price!

The nail polish is a total waste of money. It started chipping few hours after having it on, even with the Essie top coat. Ridiculous for £8.99 at Boots.

Purchased Essie gel couture, waste of money at £11 per bottle and need top setting bottle also,£22 to try a product that is absolutely useless.
Definitely do not get 15day wear lucky to make a few days.
Colours do not apply properly.
Really disappointed in Essie.
Time for a brand change, maybe Opi.

Absolutly not worthy for that price. I bought 3 nail polishes, non of them match the advertised color, they have very poor pigmentation, takes forever to dry and have watery formulation. Supper disappointed. The color “model clicks” is just dark purple, absolutely not nice reddish wine tones promised in the advertised photo, with the other two, I had to use 3 layers to see the color and it was still not enough.

Best nail varnish after doing my own comparison withe the other big brands including Nails Inc who came out the worst.
The pigment is second to none and the product lasts.

These nail polishes do not travel and leak all over luggage despite being screwed up tightly. Sent their online form to Essie, heard nothing. Rang them someone hung up. Got hold of Asumpta who promised to get back to me after spking to another dept.. 2 weeks later heard nothing. Rang again, Eric told me to go to Boots’ I said no, it’s a manufacturing problem if the lid doesn’t seal. He said the back office may get back to me!!!! He then hung up!
What a rubbish Company!

Essie used to be my favorite. I didn't mind paying the extra price for their product. I don't know if the polish formula changed. But, my last 3 bottles peel off my fingers the same day.

I’m super disappointed by essie, I purchased a beautiful color of nail polish that immediately started chipping and I contacted them to ask if they can do anything about it as in refund my money since their nail polish is so expensive and they said they would send me something but they never did! I threw the nail polish away, and I don’t plan to purchase their nail polish again even though they have all the best colors! This happened sometime last year I don’t remember the date.
