Awful customer service. I tried to book an apartment in Barcelona and was ubable to complete the booking..... only for Escalea to get in touch with a massively increased price. I decided to book another apartment at a reasonable price ...only for my deposit to be cancelled as the flat couldn't accommodate me on those dates (despite the website showing it as available) Escalea of course encouraged me to take the much more expensive option.....that's not what really annoyed me though....I had to chase them up for every single response....the never got back when they said they would. When my last option fell through the customer service agent Alex asked me what I'd require and told me he would get back to me within the day...three days later...nothing. I even emailed them with my frustrations and pointed out a suitable apartment i had found myself...and remibded them that I am simply trying to give them money...still no response.

Shockingly poor.

We booked our August Paris Trip with them - easy communication during the booking process, respond the same day or a day after (i guess due to the time zones difference).
Local agent was fantastic, she had great ideas for dinners and events.
Had a security deposit delay, but no problems in the end, was returned in full.

Clear and efficient website, great apartment. Eveything happened very well from reservation to check-out, we loved our stay in Barcelona. Thank you to Aseneta and David for their help.

The search option should allow the user to select multiple locations and not one at a time

The map is great to use, it's a little slow but I like working backwards from destination location to apartment rather than apartment facilities then see where it is.

It could be improved by not having to clear the search to find apartments in the next district, I'm not sure if that is feasible.

We haven't stayed with you before, but look forward to our first experience in your delightful accommodation.

Good website to look for short term rentals.

I usually use VRBO to book rentals in other cities and countries but I stumbled upon Escalea.com and they have been wonderful. The steps were very clear, the rentals they have are beautiful, and they answered all of my questions quickly.

If you respond within 5 min to 24 hours it is great

Excellent experience - would recommend highly!

I first gave my review 5 stars b/c of what I thought was great customer service. David was the person who had been helping me. He was very responsive and quick - always responded within 24 hrs or less. Loved the quality of the apartments on here - only hoped that they would look as great in person as they do on the photos!

About 48 hrs into booking my apt, I requested to make a change, as my friend had to cancel his trip. I could no longer afford to pay for a 2-bedroom apartment. I requested a smaller studio, and for my first payment to be transferred. I was very disappointed that they were unable to transfer that first payment, so I ended up losing money. Even though it is stated that if apartments are cancelled, your payment is forfeited, thus lost, you would think that they would (and should) happily reallocate that payment to another apartment, especially since they manage so many. I really wanted to love this company, but have to turn back to the regular VRBO or even hotel because of this disappointing experience.

Easy enough to navigate the site. Could make the space larger for the terms. hard to scroll and read.
