This is the WORSE bank to get a loan…

This is the WORSE bank to get a loan from, they use practices that cause one to stay int he loop of payments, they don't apply overpayments to the balance, and just pushes it over to the next statement. They are pretty bad, and I can't wait to figure out a way to change my loan from them. Yeah, they are simple to get but, they are a shady business, that is predatorty by far, and their practices are questionable. DO NOT use them.

Scumbag Company

I had an unfortunate incident with this bank and Rebecca Bramall, the lending supervisor. After providing tax returns and proof of income (5x more than the loan) the loan was denied because my tax return didn't reflect a recent promotion. Rebecca Bramall was rude, condescending, and appeared to get a perverse sense of enjoyment from complicating my home improvement project. She refused to consider multiple methods to confirm my income or provide the "policy" used to justify the denial. Then she refused to confirm the company would delete my personal data. I assume the company saw I could pay the loan during the interest-free period and denied it because they couldn't collect interest. Just a real gross, scummy company with awful staff.

Horrible

Horrible. The website they provide on my confirmation email (www .enerbank. com) simply doesn't work. I had to call customer service to be directed through a number of different sites to find a link buried where I can see my account details. Account detail structure is ridiculously bad as well...took a while to find my actual details.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would! Worst company to deal with, unable to pay loan down, they want all the interest first, will not provide a simple amortization schedule, financed a pool project with a company that scammed us, was revealed as a scam company half way through the process, EnerBank approved payments to them full well knowing they were a scam company! Would NEVER recommend financing through them!!

Enerbank has changed it name to Regions Bank

Enerbank has changed it name to (Regions Bank)
Remember, a scammer will always remain a scammer.
they are absolutely greedy interest machine. I would give it zero stars if that was possible. They charge interest daily, and you will never know how much goes to principle. First, they start you off with 4 months $50 payments "to make sure you and the contractor don't have issues." but what they are not saying is interest being charged daily for the original amount. You're required to make your monthly minimum payment for two years, and that goes to interest, but nothing goes toward the principle. Customer service is nonexistent because of long wait times, and the website is a serious joke. To avoid stress, never consider this BANK or PLEASE get financed by other institutions.

Zero stars

Zero stars. Zero empathy. Zero accountability. Now i have an 80k loan for solar panels and I'm paying more than i did before I got them. And making a payment is so extremely difficult I want to pull my hair out!

Terrible company

I wanted to reduce my the balance so I called about making extra payments to the principal only. The customer service rep said after the monthly payment was applied, any additional payment made the same day would be applied only to principal. Wrong! They applied the additional payment first which All went to interest and then applied the regular payment and applied part of it to interest! This is Not what I was told twice!

I have a balance of 4,445.00 and I tried to settle this debt for 3,900.00 because this is all that I have, the customer service rep start saying well we have to look at your credit, what does that have to do with settling a debt it is better than if I file bankruptcy and they will receive nothing. But I assume that what they will prefer, I like to pay my debt but things happen that you have no control over.

Dont get solar panels loans with EnerBank

In April 2024, we were selling our home in Fort Worth and received an offer/contract. Part of the agreement to sell our home was that the EnerBank solar panels loan would be transferred to the buyers. On May 29th, the buyers submitted a form to request the solar panels loan be transferred to them. Our closing was supposed to be on July 1st, but we don't even have a clue as to when they will approve the transfer of the loan. The buyers and we (the sellers) have been calling (877) 596-0730, but they cannot give us an update except to tell us it could take up to 60 days. They would not allow us to speak to a supervisor. Their attitude is that they do not care. It has been one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a bank. There is no way we would ever have business with EnerBank, and we will never get involved in buying solar panels.

Too bad I can't give negative stars ,

Too bad I can't give negative stars ,
this bank is in kahoots with solar scams ; they funded my solar loan
before it was finished with a contractor soon to go out of bus.
after 2 years with one unfinished
project , they coming for their $$$
The contractor tricked me in
to sign a by-phone contract , to later advance the signed contract by
40 + days ; luckily I never erase my messages and I can prove that ,
I am taking them to court . . .
Wish me luck peeps , we can all start a class action suit . . .
They don't want to answer my lawyers letters for now , but they
going to have to , soon . .

I have had this $40,000 pool loan since September of 2021 with a 5.99% interest rate. I do not understand how an average of $195 goes to interest and $95 goes to the principle. I still owe $38,150 and I have been paying this for 2.5 years now.

NEVER AGAIN WITH ENER

I will NEVER, EVER enter into a personal loan agreement with Ener again. I seriously regret it. They tricked me with fine print in the loan agreement. Yes, it is my fault for not reading every minute word carefully. That said, who does? And who would knowingly agree to pay 17.99% interest when the project required county approval, etc., and would naturally take a while to start? Naturally, I believed that nothing would be charged or accruing until the project was completed and the contractor was paid. Indeed, the contractor NEVER got paid until the project was completed in 2023 because it was known there would be delays. Ener KNEW this as well, but when I tried to pay off the entire loan amount a couple of months after the project was completed, they said I owed about $1,000 more in interest because they "disbursed" the funds in 2022. Painful lessons learned. Do not agree to that deception by Ener because YOU will be paying for a loan for work that may not begin for a long time.

Worst ever

Worst ever. Terrible experience with this bank - very poor communication, awful website, and poor customer service. Deeply regret doing business with them. The fact that they still use fax machines for sending documents should tell you something. Good luck tracking the paperwork down. 60 days to transfer solar loan. No one responds to calls and when they do they have no solutions.
