Avoid this company at all cost

Terrible! Would never order anything from this company. We had tap with boiling water tank and it’s started leaking when not even having the item long. The electronic screen has also got water in it. As this is plugged in to the mains I’m sure this leaking would be a massive health and safety hazard. I highly recommend not to order from this company.

Poor Quality Imported Boilers

I can only comment on the hot water taps and customer service.

The tap itself is ok but beginning to show signs of wear on the “stainless” coating.

The boiler is poor quality and always had a small leak which we tolerated but it got significantly worse so I opened it up. There’s a plastic expansion vessel before the boiler that’s totally unsuitable and clearly can’t handle the heat so it’s deformed and cracked. I spoke to Ellsi customer services who at least answered the phone promptly but they couldn’t help with anything technical.

The boiler looks similar to all the others on the market so clearly bought in - potentially from the same factory - rather than made bespoke. Quality is awful and certainly not worth the £150 odd retail.

I won’t use them in future but all similarly priced taps have almost identical boilers so I can’t see them being any different. Unfortunately it’s going to be a return to kettles or pay out much more for something decent quality that can be repaired.

Excellent customer care

Id like to say Thank-you to Heidi and Mathew for an excellent customer experience. My 3 in 1 hot tap boiler decided to stop working after 11 months. I phoned customer care and was actually bowled over by their help and a new boiler was sent out immediately. I've not experienced this level of service from any other company so would recommend them to anyone very highly. I love my hot tap and have shown it to everyone I have round for a coffee. Brilliant stuff and thank you again. Pete

Not really sure where to start on this…

Not really sure where to start on this but having this 3-1 hot water boiler V2.N.Boiler installed only 14 months old (if that??).I have to say im disappointed the first 3 months brilliant therafter it started to leak which was a nusisance so we managed to get that sorted. Now the bloody thing turns itself off when it likes, which is somewhat annoying. The customer service is good, they explain and accepted my issues but im now having doubts Do I really want another Ellsi replacement or should i jump ship and get an alternative it looks like I will get an alternative bolier pay a little more but hopefully it works without leaks and turning itself off

Can’t fault this company. Highly recommended

Can’t fault this company, we bought a 4-1 instant hot tap via Homebase before it closed down. Our tap started to have a bad dripping issue and the boiler kept boiling more regularly causing the tap to running. I contacted Ellsi via email and Emily got straight back to me and she was superb. After some communication a new boiler was received within 48hrs. This did not resolve the problem so I got straight back to Emily who sent us a new tap and this has resolved our problem. The complete new system is fantastic and so much quieter than the previous old system. I can’t say how incredibly quickly Emily and the team dealt and resolved our problem. A huge thank you to Ellsi. It’s a breath of fresh air to deal with a company that’s doesn’t try to duck out of responsibility but goes to lengths to resolves it.

Quality poor, customer services don't respond when you give them positive criticism, I set out everything that was wrong with their product and asked their technical team to check my findings, never heard back, I would find another brand to use

Reducing spring pressure on the hot tap knob

After installing an Ellsi water tap my wife found it difficult to hold down the plunger and turn the Hot Tap at the same time, owing to the pressure on the spring.
I spoke to Emily at Customer Service, who was very helpful and friendly, and she explained that this was a safety feature, but the pressure could be reduced at the owners risk, which is a fair comment. She emailed instructions on how to do that, which I did in 5 minutes, and hey presto works a treat now.

Kitchen tap replacement

I recently contacted Ellsi regarding a tap that I purchased from them through a 3rd party supplier that had a fault. They were very quick to resolve the matter no questions asked and provided me a replacement within two working days. Would highly recommend.

Bought tap as part of new Kitchen from…

Bought tap as part of new Kitchen from Wren. Fitter failed to leave details of tap or indicate need to change filter. I had a bad experience with the fitter. So when it started tripping my electrics the company said sorry no your 2 year warranty is void as i had failed to change thr filter. Most unsympathetic even though the warranty states failing to change a filter may affect the warranty.

Perfectly happy to supply inoperable…

Perfectly happy to supply inoperable merchandise in 50 % of cases; no remorse for having an ineffective quality system.
On complaint they will eventually replace the goods but not reimburse anyone for the labour required to fit their faulty merchandise, remove their faulty merchandise then refit their replacement goods .
If there is an alternative, I recommend you use it rather than an ELLSi product.
I believe other companies value your custom and future business more that Ellsi.

Recently bought a 4 in 1 tap boiler which developed a fault just after installation. Contacted the company via the helpline number and subsequently by email. They were courteous and very efficient in dealing with the problem. It is heartwarming to find such service and a
belief in their product. Well done Ellsi.
