We visited the Meadowhall store today around 8.30pm. The young lady, we didn’t catch her name, was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to help our teenage daughter choose a school coat in the... See more

Visited Chester store today and…
Visited Chester store today and received exceptional service.
A big thank you to Will who measured my feet, ( I was wearing a size too small, and measured narrow),he gave me excellent help and advice.
I love the Mafate shoes , I have worn them around the house , (as advised ) and I was reluctant to remove them as they are so comfortable.
All staff in store were very friendly and pleasant, and I will certainly return.
Many thanks
Exceptional service
We were visiting Chester and popped into the branch there looking for new trail shoes . We had the best experience with Will who firstly measured my feet which I hadn’t had done since childhood which was a revelation as I’m a size larger than I thought.
And I found out I have a standard D fit width which helped to narrow down my shoe choices. There were plenty of brands and styles to choose from. After Will established the type of activities I’d be using them for I tried 3 different brands which were all comfortable for my feet . I opted for a Hoka trail shoe which is like walking on air. My husband also went on to buy a pair of new shoes as the service , knowledge and help from Will was exceptional . We would highly recommend this store and Will to anyone looking for new outdoor clothing or shoes . The store is well stocked and the staff knowledgeable about the products they are selling. All in all a very good experience .

Wrong size for my daughter boots too…
Wrong size for my daughter boots too small even though they told her they would be fine, she did tell them she was uncomfortable & I did explain she has hypermobility in her toes so needs to size up a bit as hee feet size is deceiving. Still they insisted she will be fine as her feet move back. A few hours skiing and she was in agony. We had to get her refitted for boots whilst in chamonix who when asked what size was a whole size bigger than her boots at ellis brigham. Her two big toenails have now detached themselves so real issue there. The boots I was fitted with were also (after reading up I found) too hard for my ski ability- a question I was not asked. I literally had no idea why I couldn't ski anymore or even stop! Im not that great a skier but knew the basics 😔. I never said anything about my boots only my daughters and the service from the instore team after was one of ignorance to be honest and actually making out that the french ski shop didnt measure her correctly - however with her new boots from the french shop she is really comfortable and skis perfectly without issue. I will never use ellis brigham again.
Great professional service from Keith.

Your Staff at the Keswick store are A1…
Your Staff at the Keswick store are A1 (Brilliant) Sean, Keith and Seb. Over 2 weeks and 3 visits we (family) bought boots and a waterproof. (We saw these guys on the separate visits). Between Seans excellent insight to boots and feet and Sean and Seb knowledge of your hiking and camping stock we got what we required. Myself and Daughter will be visiting again to buy winter grade boots later in the year. Thankyou Guys
Great service
Great service - had a ski boot fit check and my existing boots checked over. I decided to buy some new boots in the sale which were competitively priced and included heat forming. Very pleased.
Unhappy
We initially went to Ellis Brigham for a pair of boots and skis for my partner, the person that served us was brilliant, knowledgeable and helpful. I decided to buy boots and skis as well. He accommodated me and measured me up and advised on boots and skis. He said he would get some more examples in and contact us when they arrived. He did contact us and we arranged our final visit. Again, the staff were very helpful, I did ask about grip walk and was told that this was the new standard and the boots would not fit into old skis but old boots fit in the grip walk skis. Which makes sense. After we had agreed to pay for the personalised soles, which were £75 I was told that the skis I wanted were not grip walk but alpine bindings. At this point I was £75 in. I looked on the head website as they were head skis, the other skis offered were too wide as I don't do any off piste, so I wasn't interested in these skis. The only other ones were Head childrens racing skis that I was told were good enough for me as an advanced skier. I looked on the Head website and there were grip walk bindings, I told the person dealing with us, to be told he cannot split the skis and bindings as they were a deal together, I understood this. He told me that all kids ski boots were alpine not grip walk, and showed me an example, however, after looking on Google, most kids boots seem to be grip walk as well. He did say he would give me the alpine bases for the boots and also give me the rip walk soles as well. When we came to pay, he charged the bindings separate anyway and also charged me for the grip walk soles, granted, he let me have them for half piece, but that was not what was initially said. I feel I was told about the skis after the £75 sole fitting as if I hadn't agreed to this, I would have bought the skis from elsewhere and bought grip walk skis and boots. The staff were helpful, seemed knowledgeable but I believe they forgot about the alpine bindings. I feel pushed into the skis I didn't want, after the boot fitting, there were no other skis that were as narrow as I wanted they were all on/off piste and quite wide. So even though we spent over £1600, I'm not very happy and wished I waited until next season, so I had more choice of skis. The boots are great however, they are now not grip walk boots unfortunately. So if I get a new pair of skis in a few years, these are now unsellable as they are not grip walk. I've found this out with my previous skis, no one wants them if they are not grip walk. Overall, I'm unhappy as I feel I've been misled with the Head skis after the insole fitting had already been done, so I was £75 in at that point, with no other real option on skis as its the end of the season, which I understand. If the staff where honest about the skis in the first place, I'd have kept what I already have, which are good Rossignol skis and Apex ski boots.
Boot fitting appointment was excellent
The Milton Keynes boot fitting appointment was very good & was not at all rushed. The boot fitter knew his stuff & explained everything as he went along. I advised I could have gone to Snow & Rock & enjoyed a 15% discount through various clubs or groups I was in. I was also thinking of buying a helmet & the fitter advised he was sure that a 10% discount could be applied to the helmet as I was buying (not inexpensive) boots. However on attempting to pay at till, the manageress actually laughed when I said I had been promised a helmet discount & refused to honour it. This is why I am giving 4* not 5*. Managers attitude was extremely unprofessional. I reluctantly left the helmet which I had spent ages choosing, a total waste of my time. I shall buy a helmet from S & Rock with 15% discount.
Custom Ski boot fitting by Tom at York Ellis Brigham
Tom at Ellis Brigham York store was absolutely excellent in getting me set up and properly fitted with my first pair of ski boots. Having used rental ski boots only before, Tom talked me through some of the challenges with rental boots versus own boots, and made the whole process very straightforward and enjoyable. From selecting appropriate boots, to stance analysis, to custom insoles, followed by custom boot moulding, he knew every stage in its entirety, and how to get the best results for me.
I am entirely delighted with my purchase and the service that Tom and Ellis Brigham provided.
Was struggling to find snowboard boots…
Was struggling to find snowboard boots that fit well. Size 7/7.5 narrow feet and ankle. Had bought a pair online and returned them already. In hindsight with boots you need a good fit and buying online can be hit and miss. Staff instore at Snowdome Tamworth knew immediately which boots I should try and after I had tried on all the options I had carefully researched online and they didnt fit. They convinced me to try their suggestion and sure enough it was an almost perfect fit. Thank you for your patience. You were right. Five Stars *****
Fabulous ski boot fitting service
Came in to the Milton Keynes store for ski boot fitting and purchase - very impressed, the staff member who helped me was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Just had a week skiing in the most comfortable boots, thank you!
New ski boots
Just back from a great time selecting new ski boots. Could not have been guided any better, the knowledge of the staff is exceptional ensuring you have the right boot to match not only your feet but also what you are expecting to do with them, so happy I went tyo Ellis Brigham in Braehead :)
Ed thank you - amazing service
After DPD completely messed up a order from Ellis Brigham.
I went to raise a complaint as I needed the ski boots I ordered before going to the alps for Easter and DPD wouldn't help.
I spoke to Ed in customer service who was absolutely amazing .
He arranged for the order that was still with DPD ( awful company) to be returned to HQ. Got a pair of boots from a store to be returned to HQ to then be sent to me . This all happened in 24 hrs .
He sent me the links , gave clear instructions to enable me to re-order . Everything worked thanks to Ed .
He showed commitment and amazing customer service , thank you , thank you Ed ..... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️service 👍
Aviemore Store- Helpful Staff
The guys at the Aviemore shop were very helpful and although they couldn’t fix my old bindings with burst toe straps, they did try and provided alternative options.
Ended up purchasing new Union Force bindings. Quality and price beyond what I needed as an occasional boarder with limited experience 😂 but due to availability that’s what was available in my size. The chap downstairs also provided a list of ski/board rental options for the kids the day before.
Thanks guys
Top service once again from the Bristol…
Top service once again from the Bristol team, sorted me out with most my gear over the years! Great product knowledge and advice.
8 days later, order still not even dispatched.
Not even received my order yet but bored of waiting. Placed an order on a sunday evening thinking it would be dispatched and delivered sometime later in the week but now 8 days later it's still not even been shipped when I contacted customer services a couple of days ago I was told it was originally not dispatched (3 working days from order date) because it was apparently coming from a different warehouse - something not advertised on the website.
Since I needed it by the end of the week as a gift, that window has passed and so I've asked for it to be shipped direct to the recipient but it's still not dispatched more than a week from placing the order.
For a company charging premium prices on their products, this is weak and I won't be shopping there again when there's absolutely no excuse to be charging customers delivery fees and not shipping at a minimum the next working day.
Wasn't even offered a refund on my shipping for the delay.
