Elite is a great company. I've purchased a few of their gi's, which are excellent. For the price, I don't see how they could be beat.

I was also sent a grappling dummy by Elite for purposes of demoing it and trying it out, esp. as compared to my other dummy, which is the SMARTY XL grappling dummy.

The bad: the Elite dummy does not come prefilled. That's really all that's bad about it. And frankly, it's not actually bad, b/c you're not paying a "filled dummy" price.

The good: the Elite dummy as soooo inexpensive. Right now it's on sale for $50. $50??? What??? That is almost nothing! So anybody and everybody can afford one of these dummies. Just fill it with whatever you want. I bought a giant roll of foam at a thrift store for $20. It took me a few hours to fill it, and it was NOT easy, but I'm glad to have it over and done with!

Some dummies flop around and don't hold a guard position. Not this one. Its knees and elbows are bent into the perfect guard position so that it's super useful in side control, top mount, guard, and anything else I try. You don't have to reposition it each time; it stays that way. So it's very efficient training!

Comparison with the SMARTY XL:
The Smarty can't be beat. But I paid $645 for it. That's over 12X the cost of the the Elite. The Smarty is heavy, thick, and huge.

The Elite also is very well constructed. Because I filled it with foam, it is super light. There is no resistance on anything I try. But truthfully, that works for me because if I want resistance I have the Smarty for that. This Elite dummy makes it a breeze to work with. So easy to maneuver, get it on and off me, put it into any position I want without it tiring me out.

I could probably fill it with some other type of material, like fabric, if I wanted more resistance. But what I really like about it the most is that I can do so many more techniques on it because my arms can actually fit around the neck and torso and lock back where they need to in order to complete the submission. I swear, so many things I try on the Smarty I just can't do, b/c my arms won't go all the way around. That's not a knock on the Smarty... it's just that I chose the XL version without knowing what I was getting into. LOL Live and learn.

But very glad to now have the Elite version where I can try AND complete so many more chokes and submissions. And my wife can use it too because it's light enough and small enough.

Overall, for $50, Elite has leveled the playing field and money no longer has to be an object preventing someone from training BJJ or any other form of grappling at home. I love it. Thanks so much, Elite!

The bag is perfect for heavy use. The material is high-quality and durable. After using it for a few weeks, the size is big enough to carry shoes and clothes in without feeling like I'm bringing a suitcase or a large duffel bag into the gym. This bag has very quickly become a staple.

We, BestBodies.fit, did a collaboration with Elite Sports LLC and received two shorts of different styles and sizes to review. It should be noted that our use of these shorts was for bodybuilding and fitness workouts in the gym. With that in mind our review is below.

Black shorts – size 3XL, Black Jack - Black No Gi Men's BJJ Shorts
Our favorite part of the design is how the draw strings are on the inside of the shorts. An added bonus would be to add side pockets [but these shorts are designed mainly for martial arts, which is why there are no pockets].

Red shorts – size 2XL, Black Jack - Red No Gi Men's BJJ Shorts
This style was our favorite for bodybuilding and fitness. The material is very comfortable. It feels very soft, silky and lightweight. This style also has a flat waist band which makes these shorts roomier.

Both styles of shorts have these great features: The hidden drawstrings on the inside of the shorts, are nice so you don’t need to tuck them inside. The side slits leg design allows for a good range of movement, while lifting weights. The light weight, stretch material is tear-resistance, and comfortable.

The sizing does run small, so be sure to grab one size up from what you normally wear in shorts. Great price and quick delivery.

The customer service is great, and I love my pink duffel bag! The multiple compartments are handy, especially one for my stinky shoes.

Ordered two men's giis. The fit was terrible for both so I started the return process. I paid for shipping of these giis and they are charging me to ship them back! This is a terrible business practice. I usually try and avoid Amazon, but you'd do better ordering from them instead of Elite Sports.

Elite Sports delivers excellent quality and durability. The gear is comfortable, well-designed, and perfect for training. Great value for the price—highly recommend!
