AVOID - BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I brought a Smeg kettle from this company, (which was not cheap). The metal started chipping off.
I return the kettle a month ago tomorrow. Originally, I had requested a replacement, but as they're constantly making every excuse possible, first stating that they haven't received the kettle. I then sent evidence of the return. I then received another message, stating the replacement will be sent within 3-5 working days. Im still waiting!
Then another excuse was that due to bank holiday it's been delayed. I complained to Amazon and got a message from the seller stating that I am duplicating the complain and it will go to the back of the queue.
Amazon should be ashamed that they're using this seller who are clearly not trustworth!
This company should be struck off!! Disgraceful!
Ordered a Samsung TV online
Ordered a Samsung TV online, received a phone call from Colin who advised that the TV in stock had unfortunately been damaged and offered an upgrade to the next model at not additional cost. Great customer service and communication, speedy delivery. Very pleased.
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID
Ordered a hoover for my nanna end of August, now it's the 16th September and no hoover or refund even though I have been asking for money back. Amazon clearly signed the package as not delivered and lost and to request refund. This company still are not refunding and saying they are speaking to courier even though its states once again PACKAGE NOT RECIEVED AND LOST REQUEST REFUND!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS SEEMS LIKE A COWBOY OPERATION THAT'S HAPPY TAKING MONEY FROM PENSIONERS
I bought a Samsung tv from this company…
I bought a Samsung tv from this company through Amazon, the advertising stated 5 year warranty, however tv became defective after 18 months, after a lot of correspondence with Amazon it turns out that any Samsung purchased from Amazon or EBAY are not eligible for the 5 year warranty, Electrical Experience informed me that it stated so on page 11 of terms & conditions and would have no more to do with it, Amazon also we’re of bo further help, even after they told me my money was safe with them.
Eventually I found success with Samsung directly and a repair has been carried out, however I still have no 5 year warranty that I should have received.
Stay well Clear.
Back on 21 June this year I bought a Samsung TV through Amazon from Electrical Experience. The TV was paid for and then I waited......
I checked the reviews and I was firstly concerned by noting the same delivery problem/s seemingly occurring with other buyers. I had no worries at this stage as I had bought it via Amazon. On contacting Amazon, in reply, they sent their own disclaimer stating basically that they did not back this company and they were only allowing them to use their portal for the purpose - they had no responsibility for this poor service; all of which seemed a little odd and rather disappointing, as I believed I had ordered through Amazon and hence had their backing!
The TV was, according to Electrical Experience, initially 'lost in the post' to start with and eventually this in-stock product arrived on 3 July 2021.
No great problem but for anyone waiting and not having a TV, a considerable time to wait.
Since then, The TV has worked ok until we came to unplug it for the decorators to move it out os the room. The aerial cable was pulled out of the TV and along with it came the complete aerial socket. No problem I thought - its under guarantee and faulty workmanship happens. I am after all dealing with Samsung and a recognised supplier. I spoke with Samsung and after a lengthy online chat found that they regarded this as a physical damage incident not covered by the guarantee - which amazed me. It was evident that the part had not been soldered/fixed to the printed circuit inside the tv. They suggested I contact the supplier. Electrical Experience then went along with Samsung and consequently wanted nothing more to do with this scenario. The bottom line is that the customer service of both companies suck. Supplying shoddy goods with worthless guarantees is not, to quote Electrical Experiences marketing, exceptional service. In future I wont be looking at Samsung and certainly not at the Bolton based company, Electrical Experience or any related TVD business. Stay well clear.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service! It took 10 days for the item to be delivered.
I kept contacting them to request a cancellation or to have the order recalled but they said there was nothing they could do.
I received notification that the item was probably lost, but the next day it was left on my doorstep by Hermes.
Now they say I'm responsible for the return postage costs.
Utterly useless, moronic responses from their customer service representative, Chelsea.
Would not recommend this lazy company or the useless courier company they use. Hermes.
First class from start to finish
Having finally chosen the tv I wanted I saw it advertised over £200 cheaper than other high street stores on electrical experience website! Brand new boxed - not refurbed, not a foreign import - the legit uk model.
Rang and spoke to Colin who provided first class customer service and stated he could dispatch the tv the same day and have it arrive the next day - with no delivery charge!!. True to his word the tv arrived next day in perfect condition!
The tv is unreal and it is a joy to watch! Add in the fact there is a 5 year parts and labour warranty for good measure! I thought there was a catch but there wasn’t...very impressed with every aspect of this purchase!
This is a genuine review and a genuine purchase - I always assume the reviews I read are written by the seller - but I had to share my thoughts! 5 stars!!
Excellent Customer Service
Yes the wrong TV arrived, but one digit difference and an issue with the supplier. Colin at customer service was excellent and tracked down the correct TV that LG have in very short supply. Arrived this morning and took wrong one away. Thank you
Great help provided
Amazing service
Cheers guys you provided massive help when my mother needed help with the tv you sold her and went above and beyond with the support you gave her.
I can’t thank you enough and I’ll definitely recommend you to anyone.
Excellent, trustworthy with very competitive prices
I have been very impressed with my dealings with Electrical Experience, they are very competitive on price and are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and will happily give you any advice you might need. After buying a Sony Tv from them, their aftercare service is excellent and will go that extra mile to help you. All in all a fantastic company who I'll come back to in the future and happily recommend to my friends .
Excellent service!
I can’t fault this company, I placed an order via Amazon for two saucepans on a Friday afternoon and received them the next day packaged well and in perfect condition! Thank you! Would definitely recommend!
Just purchased a 49" TV from electrical…
Just purchased a 49" TV from electrical experience last night through Amazon, only to receive an email from Amazon to say that electrical experience have cancelled the order and I will receive a refund within 5-7 days. No explanation given as to why cancelled. I now have no TV and cannot order another until the refund is returned. Disgraceful.
Great customer service.
These guys are excellent. I placed a order in for a Samsung tv HOWEVER it came damaged at the top right of my screen which wasn't a major issue but after ringing them up they offered me a swap. Great customer service if you ask me. Absolutely brilliant. 4 stars for customer service. Missing one for the product unfortunately :((
Frustrating 'experience', poorly worded warranty info, but did honour cashback!
REVISED REVIEW:
I had never heard of this company until I saw them on TopCashback.
Purchased a 65" Panasonic OLED TV for £1645 through TopCashback, but it failed to track; however after posting this review it appeared in my account as confirmed, 3 months late, so I have revised this review to say you probably will get the Cashback but may have to claim & wait.
I chose a specific delivery date but received a phone call telling me that date was not possible and I was forced to accept a different day, which was inconvenient as I had to take a day off unpaid!
When the delivery driver arrived he was on his own and very blunt/rude/unhelpful. I was surprised that they would send only 1 person for such a large, expensive, heavy, bulky item!
Things got worse when he opened the back of his van; despite CLEAR, BOLD warnings all over the Panasonic TV box stating that the TV MUST be transported vertically & kept vertical AT ALL TIMES, it was laying face down in the back of his van and worse, there was another TV on top of it!
Upon closer inspection it became obvious, (loose ratchet straps around & under the 2 TVs), that they had originally been poorly strapped upright but had come loose & fallen over sometime during the journey!
I have a bad back but because it was impossible for the 1 man they'd sent to unload the massive, heavy box off the back of the truck without dropping it, I had to help him. He was sullen & grumpy and very rough with the TV!
When we got it out of the truck he refused to carry it, saying it was too heavy. So got a small hand-truck, (way too small really for the item), and roughly manhandled the TV along the road to the front of my home, where the idiot dumped it down onto the WET LAWN, instead of the dry path, (it had been raining; the sun had dried out the concrete & paving but the lawn was still obviously soaking wet)!
I immediately asked him to move it off the wet lawn, but he said he was only hired to deliver to my doorstep, which he had done, so I would need to get someone else to help me move it from there!
I said I did have someone coming to help me carry it into my property but they would be 25-30 minutes because I had only just called them, (because I was not given any idea of what time the delivery would be and the driver was supposed to call me when he was around 30 minutes out, but he had FAILED to do so & turned up out of the blue, unannounced), but it was not acceptable to have the expensive TV Box sitting on a soaking wet lawn all that time, (should have been obvious to anyone that water & electronics DO NOT MIX), so I said I was not prepared to sign for the TV whilst it was sitting on the soaking wet lawn so either he helped me move it onto the dry path or he would have to somehow get it back down the road and onto his truck as I would refuse delivery, (or SIMPLY help me lift it onto the dry path, which he very begrudgingly did)!
I then told him I wanted the words 'unchecked' written on the delivery sheet, due to the fact the strict instructions to ONLY transport the TV in the vertical position had been breached + it had clearly fallen over + it had another TV on top, which it shouldn't, + the bottom of the box had got wet because he had stupidly dumped it on the wet lawn instead of the dry path! He wasn't happy with that and I had to insist!
I then had a complete NIGHTMARE trying to communicate with Electrical Experience!
They simply DID NOT CARE at all about the ignorant, risky, poor, rough handling of the TV, (it just seemed like they'd got my £1645 & no longer cared), and chose to ignore my emails!
The TV had been clearly advertised as coming with a free 5 Year, extended Manufacturer's Warranty; however, this was not the case & I just got 1 year!
I was then told by Electrical Experience I would have to go through a laborious, lengthy process where I had to go to the trouble of taking pictures of the unique serial number on the outside of the TV's Box and the back of the actual TV; plus scans of the Invoice/order/delivery documents and upload the whole lot to Panasonic's website, as well as enter a lot of personal information & details of the sale, then, (if I was lucky), I would get the extra 4 years added to make the 1 year Warranty a 5 Year one as promise, BUT that the process would take around THREE MONTHS normally, but may be longer due to the Coronavirus pandemic!
However, when I tried that I could not as Electrical Experience were not registered as an authorised dealer with Panasonic!
Eventually I got that sorted with Panasonic myself ; then took pictures; made scans; uploaded them; filled in forms etc only to have my claim for the free 5 year extended warranty REJECTED, (due to Electrical Experience having already made a claim for the extended warranty with my TV's unique Serial Number)!
Electrical Experience were little help & I had to put in great effort to sort directly myself with Panasonic!
