This is not a recent experience it is an ongoing corrupt business practice.

With exception of a short period after i threatened to sue them if they kept assessing late fees because their on line payments are never available.

I genuinely believe they are intentionally blocking customers from making payments to assess higher fees.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO beelzebub HIMSELF. hE PROBABLY SET UP THEIR WEBSITE!

My husband, who has a POA for both of his parents, was trying to cancel their credit card. With his mother incapacitated and after his father’s death, he was required to send in not only the POA, but also his own full name and social security number, date of birth, phone number and address — in other words EVERYTHING anyone would need to steal his identity on a silver platter. No wonder there’s so much fraud in credit cards!!! And they won’t block any charges that come in during the time it takes them to process this.

If I could rate lower I would. Your dispute is decided immediately but they string you on forever. I guess their job security. They side with the other party. Leaving you holding the bag. DON'T USE THEIR SERVICES. My bank had no idea who and how they treat people. But they do now. If you go thru your bank to get a card make sure it's not thru Elan. Use someone else.

Contested a charge because of a fraudulent company. I did my best to prove this company does exist. But it does not. Not in Texas anyway. May not even in the United States. I did not want to be defrauded and have my bank account cleaned out. As it is they know way too much about me. They are posing as a real management company. They will not return calls. They have a "operator" that stalls. And you never get a call back. Cannot find a real address anywhere in my city. I will not give my business to any company that sides with scammers.

Apart from their exceptionally high interest rates their customer service was fast, efficient and friendly. I had detected a fraudulent transaction on my credit card, and within 10 minutes, they opened a fraud case (which typically can take weeks) and refunded the transaction (which standard takes 3 business days to process). I manage several credit cards with rewards points and theirs is by far the one of the better programs available (probably a reason why interest rates so high.) I've been with Elan for 15 years now and pay my open balance each month to avoid interest and have never have a problem otherwise.

horrible company. i am employed and bring home over $100,000 after taxes. my equifax credit score is 744. my transunion score is 716. my total debt is less than 30,000. my CCU is 22. i have 5 credit cards, the next lowest credit limit after community trust card is $4,800. all but 1 card have below a 10 CCU. Yet somehow, the credit card that comes from my bank, which has a zero balance, which ive had for over a year, has an ABSURDLY RIDICULOUS CREDIT LIMIT OF $600!!! thats less than a third of one weekly paycheck. having this card serves me no purpose. i have emailed and called elan again and again and they will do nothing!!! how does any of this make sense!?!? what in the world is going on with this provider?

My debit card from my local bank is not functional in many states or online purchase so the banker suggested I get an Elan card for the business. From day one the online login was poorly functioning, and fraud alerts would turn off the card, bun Elan would give no indication of it in text, email, online, or mail only by calling on the phone with them for a half hour could I get it resolved...Not worth the headache

I had this credit card for years. Always paid on time. Decided to payoff balance a year ago because the rate they were charging me was 25%. I got a letter in the mail that they reducing my limit to $500 because it was inactive. That hurt my credit ! I called and all I heard because they policy bla bla. My policy is when you dont treat me right I dont do business with you. Why would I want use credit card at 25% interest! I got this through Air Academy Credit Union. I closed the card.

I just received an email about the payment of whopping $28.00 was past due 5 days. I checked my billpay and found that it was my mistake - instead of January I set it for February. I immediately called this outfit to make the payment and was told that they would charge $57+ - 100%+ (!!!!!) FOR FIVE DAYS. Yes, it was my mistake but it doesn't justify armed robbery.
Needless to say, I made the payment and immediately closed the account.
What a bunch of crooks!

Elan took over management of my credit card from my credit union several years ago and until today I had been very satisfied with the service. I disputed a charge made in 12/2023 and received correspondence that a provisional credit was applied to the account. The charge was returned to my card on 1/05/2024, and the representative I spoke with said it was determined I made the transaction because it was a chipped transaction and I had not reported the card lost or stolen. The card was not lost or stolen and I was 12 miles away from where the transaction occurred. The representative then insultingly told me maybe I didn't remember being at the location where the transaction occurred. I have given feedback on the website "upgrades" and customer service, but do not, at this point, recommend Elan services.

Worst company ever. They took over my Credit Union credit card and had nothing but issues. I agree that part of the issue lies with my Credit union who failed to communicate. However, my dealings with Elan have been atrocious. I am pretty tech savvy but I had a very difficult time setting up my access account It kept telling me to call a number that had an hour wait. Once I was able to log in I was not able to set up my payment account and again had to make calls. I made a payment and found it reversed 2 weeks later and my payment account was deleted. Of course, I was charged more fees. I paid off the card and will not use it again (I would cancel it if it was not going to affect my Credit score

I had this credit card and my line of credit was stolen and I payed what I owed and they said I didn’t this company is a scam don’t use them.

The website is not working correctly, there is no way to redeem your rewards. Ive called them 3 times and gotten nowhere.

My wife had her wallet stolen on a business trip to another state this September .She contacted Elan Financial the same day to report that her wallet had been stolen.The thief went on a shopping spree at very high end department store and managed to charge over $4k in merchandise. She filed a police report and fully cooperated with Elan Financial in the investigation yet thier fraud department has DENIED the claim stating that she "benefited" from the theft. They had the audacity of telling my wife to contact the department store and battle it out with them ! Why would she file a pollice report if her intention was to benefit from the theft? Additionally, why would she risk her over 800 credit score that she's had for serval years for $4k? To further complicate the matter thier customer service fraud department does not want to put thier findings in writing and has refused to provide any information on the investigation. Thier representative has only left a voicemail saying the investigation is closed and we are responsible to pay for the stolen items. Now we have to hire an attorney, STAY AWAY from Elan Financial!!!!!they partner with several banks with issuing Visa cards (Connexus Credit Union in our case). You are guaranteed zero customer service and will be expected to pay for stolen merchandise. She's had this card with $25K credit line for over two years and has always paid the balance ontime .However , the treatment of a loyal customer is abysmal !! Again stay away from Elan Financial and any company associated with them.

Have a credit card with a bank that is under this financial services company. This company relied on a division of trans union that reported my credit score over 200 points lower than my credit is with trans union every where else. Therefore, the bank suddenly cut my credit limit in half.
I don’t trust Elan and as soon as I can, I will end my credit relationship with this financial service

You guys are worst than Credit-One. At least you have no expectations with them. I submitted a credit limit increase with you people you denied fine. But your reason for denying were completely inaccurate. My credit score is in the 750 range. You said it was 526. I called transfusion and they verified that you are liars. Then when I called you on it you said that you modified there score based on your on in house formula. Everyone knows the credit bureaus have the ability to destroy people's lives with there overreach and now elan is getting in on the act? I think the consumer protection agencys will be making a visit to you folks real soon. I know I will do everything in my power to make it so!

This card company is terrible! They will lie, then blame you for believing it. Their customer service is next to useless, always passing the buck and never dealing with the issue. 5 calls to them in less than 2 weeks to fix a simple issue of 1 dollar, and get told pay more money to get the 1 dollar issue resolved. Paid them off, warned my friends, family, and fellow bloggers never to use them and closed my account today. Horrible company!!!!

Doesn't load and I can't login. Slow loading and hard time recovering account. App wont open and site won't load.

My interest rate went through the roof after on time payments the last eight months. Customer service sounded like a back lot car dealer person. From 50 a month to 140, wth! Hey Elan folks. You're all crooks!

Their app will literally show your current balance 0 even though a payment is due and that screwed me.They charged me a late fee so I asked if it could be removed and they denied it. Not using this card after I pay it off.
