Purchased online, products 'in stock'.
Two days later still no order, even though delivery was next day. Called them to be answered by a bloke who didn't know anything and they were too busy to help. Called again and spoke to someone who could help. I was told the items were out of stock and they'd have to order from the manufacturer so it would be another two weeks!!!
Emailed them to cancel the order, no response so as I paid through paypal I've gone through their resolution centre.

Discontinued items show as in stock, even when they know they can't get the item they still show it as in stock.
They also take payment when they can't fullfill the order.
had to open case with paypal for refund AVOID!

Fast delivery, great product

I ordered products which I was subsequently informed that one item was not in stock and the other was discontinued. I cancelled the whole order and requested a refund. I did not receive an apology and even detected irritation when on the phone to the company, as they said they were too busy to deal with the problem straightaway and the excuse offered when I got understandably riled, was that they were "only a small business". I took the precaution of emailing confirmation that I had been told I would get a refund. I then received an email from Efficient Lighting on 2nd June 2017 confirming the refund would be activated. But I have still received no refund despite two chasing emails, neither have I received a reply to either of the emails! So I am now having to pass the matter over to my credit card provider's chargebacks team.

I placed an order for a Halogen Tracked Spotlight Kit on 17th May 2017 for £109.20. I chased this order on the 30th May 2017 and was informed there was a backlog of orders with the supplier, but it would be with me shortly after the bank holiday. I chased again on the 9th June 17 and was informed that the order was still with the supplier. I have requested a refund.

This business does not update customers on orders when they are out of stock and appear to be selling goods they cannot supply.

Ordered Light which stated on website in stock, did not receive confirmation email. Item didn't arrive so I called call centre said light was out of stock and would arrive when back in stock. 3weeks later item turned up. Good quality item on reflection.

Would have been five stars but for a couple of minor issues:
1. They were advertising T4 strip lights on their website even though they were obsolete.
2. Because of this I was sent (at no extra cost) 2 T5 strip lights as alternatives on the assurance of their sales person that the two were interchangeable - they werent (different socket sizes).
If not for their after sales service and desire to get me what I needed, they would have been sitting at 2 stars at this point. These guys bent over backwards to sort out the issues I had, at no cost to myself, sent out the required items and now I have fully functioning lights. Would definitely use these guys again as I know that if I have any issues they will do their damnedest to get it sorted.

Big thumbs up from me and me wife for the guys over at efficient light. Spoke to Giles before my initial purchase who was very knowledgeable and offered advice on our LED under bar lighting which completely changed the direction we were going for the installation of the lighting strip. The diffuser he suggested really throws the light into the room and also looks a better finish than just an LED strip light.

Post sales we encountered an issue with the strip and Giles was more than happy to chat to me after normal office hours and was able to diagnose the problem directly over the phone. A replacement was despatched no questions asked the following day and received 24 hours later.

I would recommend Efficient Lighting to anyone and will be returning to them in the future for my lighting needs.

We continue to find that Giles finds brilliant lamps - the new LEDs he recommended for our kitchen downlights have transformed the room and we are delighted. We'll be back!

Needed a new under cabinet light for my kitchen. Easy to find on their website, arrived within 3 days.

I was looking for a mirror light in my new bathroom. I spoke to Will who fully understood what I was trying to achieve and suggested several possible options . I placed an order with him over the phone and the parts have now arrived with connections already made which I wasn't expecting.It is a treat to be able to speak with someone who understands the products they are selling.

Will was really helpful from the outset - told him what I looking for but that I felt a bit unsure about what to actually get. He listened, gave me some good advice and offered to email me some relevant options which he did promptly, item then sent out very quickly. There was a slight issue with a bulb but he sent a replacement straightaway without hesitation. I would highly recommend this company, I have found them great to deal with. Thank you so much Will and Efficient lighting, very much appreciated.

I found from the very outset, that William of Efficient Lighting Ltd was VERY EFFICIENT, excuse the pun , but he was, the company were very understanding in my lighting requirements for our new commercial build 'Nutri-Strength, In fact, they have designed and supplied exactly what we want from our 'Goods in /Goods Out High Bay lighting in LED format , production area and stores area all in LED lighting goods.

He won't just sell you a light bulb, he'll suggest options to find the best solution for you. From is wide range of experience your final outcome won't just save you money, it will fill your life with style and elegance.

Efficient Lighting went out of their way to help me get the right light fittings and to send out them out urgently so that I could get them by a specific date. Super friendly service. Couldn't recommend this company more.

I've only been using EL for a couple of months, but would always recommend them. They spent hours to source all the components and build some complex lighting systems for me without drawings which really got me out of a hole.
