its honestly useless other than for a diploma

I've used edmentum since 2023 when i was a junior and now i'm a senior, at least it was more bearable last year but even then it was all so pointless. There's not even teachers for it, its just this guy who checks to make sure its all completed and doesnt even look at the work ik that for a fact because one of the teachers called and said I was doing great in edmentum but truth was I was talking so much crap in those answers and didn't even try to write anything out. the fact you need this to graduate is actually insane and i'm surprised this is legal, They act like they are teaching you everything when all they are doing is shoving as much information into your head as possible in a short time frame. Yk how many times I have tried to do an assignment and the page resets my progress?? I mean I'm super glad that I get to graduate early but I'm only graduating because I looked up almost every question I've ever been given on there. That's another thing, the questions they ask is always stuff you have no choice BUT to look up. Along with the fact that in pretty much every assignment they word everything in a way that makes no sense, is way too long, and meshes together with everything else they are trying to say and ask. IT ALL SUCKSSS but hey at least i'm graduating early in a couple months so thanks for the useless years of schooling that I got LITERALLY nothing out of other than a diploma. LMAO wanna know something funny, I only put this much effort in school when I'm going off in edmentum about how pointless and confusing it all is.

Edmentum Sucks!

This is the worst app ever. It has bad teaching and explaining. If I would I would rate it 0 stars. I'm pretty sure this made some of my classmates depressed. And I AM STRUGGLING TO! Teachers and schools if you read it, do not make your students use this app! It is dog water.

This is a trash website

In recent years, online education platforms have proliferated, providing students with diverse opportunities for learning. Among these platforms is Edmentum, an educational technology company offering various online courses and assessment tools. However, a closer examination of Edmentum reveals myriad issues that position it as an ineffective educational resource. While the intention behind such platforms is commendable, the execution and practicality of Edmentum’s offerings often fall short. This essay discusses the various shortcomings of Edmentum, including its user interface, course content, customer support, and overall educational effectiveness.
One of the primary areas of concern regarding Edmentum is its user interface. A user-friendly design is crucial for fostering an effective online learning environment, yet Edmentum's interface feels cumbersome and outdated. Navigation can be confusing, resulting in a frustrating experience for both students and educators. For example, the layout seems inconsistent, with features and content often buried beneath multiple layers of menus. This complexity can deter students from engaging with the material and impede their learning. Additionally, the website’s aesthetic lacks appeal; it does not possess the modern, engaging vibe that characterizes successful educational websites, potentially leading to decreased motivation among learners.
In the realm of course content, Edmentum also falls short of expectations. While the platform offers a variety of subjects, the quality of the material leaves much to be desired. Many users report that the curriculum is often outdated, lacking relevance to current educational standards and practices. Furthermore, the lessons typically prioritize rote memorization over critical thinking and practical application. In an age where education increasingly emphasizes skills like problem-solving and creativity, Edmentum’s approach seems obsolete. This reliance on outdated content not only fails to engage students but also risks rendering their educational experience less valuable in an ever-evolving job market. Another glaring issue is the lack of interactive elements within Edmentum's courses. Modern learners thrive in environments that incorporate interactive components, such as videos, quizzes, and group discussions. Edmentum, however, often presents its material in a monotonous format, typically relying on text-based lessons. This lack of interactivity can lead to disengagement and boredom, further diminishing the effectiveness of the learning process. Educators increasingly recognize the importance of stimulating content that fosters active learning, yet Edmentum has thus far neglected this essential principle.
Moreover, the reliance on automatic grading systems raises questions about the effectiveness of assessments on Edmentum. While automated grading can expedite the learning process, it can also lead to significant inaccuracies. Many users have reported that the automated assessments fail to capture the complexity of student understanding, leading to misleading feedback. Educators require comprehensive insights into student performance to tailor instructional strategies to individual needs, but Edmentum’s grading system often falls short. Thus, the platform compromises the quality of feedback necessary for meaningful learning.
Customer support is another critical area where Edmentum fails to meet expectations. Users frequently report long wait times when attempting to access technical support or address issues related to course content. In times of need, quick and efficient customer assistance can make all the difference in a student’s or educator’s experience. A slow and ineffective support system can exacerbate existing problems, leading to further frustration and a diminished perception of the platform's value. This reality can have serious ramifications, particularly for students who depend on timely assistance to navigate challenges in their coursework.

On this day there was a huge error that could’ve been fixed but wasn’t, whenever our class went into a progress check it would demand us to rotate our screens. And that isn’t all, almost ever student has had this happen to them, when they’re just going through a practice it will restart them. Edmentum is a DISGRACE. If I could leave a 0 star I WOULD.

What the heck

This is a stupid program that likes to pretend to teach you things in there lessons but than the progress checks (which are like the tests) are completely irrelevant to the lesson. This is one of the worst programs I’ve ever used and it is frankly robbery making school districts pay for this program. This is specifically targeted toward the exact path section of edmentum but i bet the other sections such as Study Island, Calvert Learning, Courseware, Apex Tutorials, Apex Learning and Academy - Genius
are just as bad.

why do you exsist

I'm in 9th grade and taking Spanish 2 on this app because our Spanish teacher quit. they made my sister do math on it last year and I tried helping her. I was 9th grade math in 8th grade therefore I should know what a 7th grader is doing. I kept getting them wrong. now that I'm doing it this year but with Spanish I want to ball my eyes out. I've only done it for about a week and cant get through the full first leson. I hate that we have to talk as well while we were with a teacher we could skip talking if we wanted. trust me I didn't like my teacher he is better then this website. I'ma send doulingo to take you down you crackhead.

Don't use this program for educative purposes.

Edmentum actually sucks at teaching students. I currently take a Spanish II class, and the content that is provided is confusing. While it does offer translations for the content, it doesn't provide new vocabulary and assumes I already know it.

As a sophomore, seriously? It feels lazy, and due to other reviews in certain subjects like English being filled with typos and incorrect wording, it feels like I might be learning the wrong information... Not cool for trying to learn a new language.

THIS IS SO BAD..

All the homies hate edmentum, I haven’t finished the course, but I’ve hated it from the start. I’d give it a 0 if I could. The only reason I am on edmentum is for summer school, and I’m not learning anything. The only reason I understand even a lick of this course is because I’m watching YouTube videos. And guess what? I learn more off the internet from random people compared to this a** website. They change their format of learning in the middle of the second semester, and I’m struggling so badly it’s comical. This isn’t even a difficult course, it’s literally GEOMETRY….. math is a strong suit, and this is humiliating, especially since I know that I can ace every test they throw at me if it was taught properly. This is an absolute joke of a website, I hope it gets taken down. If you have the option, opt to in person learning and avoid edmentum at all cost!
