Scam
Scam - (Edfirst, School Supplies and now Educational Hub) I didn't get a single piece of business from this company or even an enquiry. Not only that but they put my business on their list of 'Featured Suppliers'. As a result, the only calls we've had in conjunction with these thieves were from companies asking what we thought of School Supplies & could we recommend them as they thought it sounded like a scam. Of course, we told them the truth that this company is a huge fraud! Avoid
Scam - Now known as The Educational Hub
I just wanted to point out this company now goes by the name The Eductional Hub, they are the same company doing exactly the same scam. Please be wary they do sound quite convincing, luckily I did some research. Also connected to Scemes Ltd. Be careful.
MASSIVE SCAM.
MASSIVE SCAM.
They sell you the dream, 'many customers making enquiries in your area'. Then once you'd paid and signed up, you never receive a single enquiry or any contact from edfirst. They will just take your money and run.
NEVER sign up with this company.
Scam
Scam. Kept cold calling and convinced me my partner had already agreed and I just had to pay. As soon as I paid the first lot they were calling to tell me I owed them more money as I’d signed up to some other service. Got really nasty, threatened me with legal action. Told them to send me it in an email. Never heard a word since, never got my money back or any of the promised business services either.
Yes a scam...all the 5 star reviews are…
Yes a scam...all the 5 star reviews are fake if you read them all written by someone who's 1st language isn't English.. you can tell they're all written by the same person...
Just had a call from this company…
Just had a call from this company Edfirst aka school supplies, offered me the same deal for Landscaping in my postal area for private schools & Nurseries. I have contacted several private schools & Nurseries in my postal area, but none of them have even heard of this company. It's a SCAM!!!
Full on scam
Full on scam. I didn’t have a single thing all year off them. Moral of the story NEVER do anything from somebody that contacts you out of the blue
DO NOT ENGAGE WITH ...
Was contacted by this company today, exceptionally convincing I might add.... Offering our business an exclusive contract to provide ALL schools within the BS postcodes various support staff services. They advised that their sister company (Tenders4u) manage all of the procurement for the NHS & MOD recruitment. For £500+Vat, we would be ‘exclusively’ listed on their portal which is accessed by all the schools in that area.
I (thankfully) done some due diligence beforehand and read all these reviews! I also looked the business up on companies house etc and they are, in no way shape or form, a public sector procurement organisation managing the recruitment for schools, NHS and MOD. T/O about £60k and you’ll not find any traces of their staff online - anywhere.
This is clearly some type of advertising scam, quite a clever one if I’m honest!
I also noted from companies house, they have changed their name previously....
Aviod at all costs
After just completing my first years subscription with this company I can report to not having received one email from any of the so called companies queuing up to use our services. We were told of having exclusivity and that the schools could only contact us but we haven't received a single call or email from anyone since handing over our subscription money. I emailed Edfirst directly throughout the year contract asking for advice, support or help but never received a response from them. To top it off I had a call yesterday from Edfirst to see if I would like to renew my subscription??!! If this isn't a scam it's the worst business I've ever had to deal with and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I'm very happy with this company they…
I'm very happy with this company they been nothing but good help to me and been with me right throughout many years working with the schools
I'm a established company running from my dad side for 40 years we understand tenders process etc
Working with schools isn't an easy process
But I'm happy with this company for there whole support
Throughout our many years together.
U can't expect work to come to you
You got put effort in to
So when I came with company I didn't I lay back expecting the money jobs roll in after speaking and do my share we all good and now.
AVOID!
In over a year we have had NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER since paying to sign up for this service. We tried to charge-back the cost via the credit card company but they were unable to find in our favour as "Unless conclusive evidence is provided that the service was either not as described as per invoice or the service was not received, we are not in a position to raise a claim and hold no chargeback rights."
That is, they added us to their directory as they said they would.
Unfortunately their promises that this would lead to multiple enquiries were simply not true, but this isn't grounds enough for the credit card company to recover our money. ***
AVOID at all costs!
*** UPDATE: We were eventually successful in obtaining a refund via a credit card chargeback - we contacted the credit card company again and cited a website as evidence of a great many other people who've also fallen foul of them (just search for "edfirst scam" and you'll find it - links can't be posted in reviews) and this time they agreed to charge-back the £450 paid. Edfirst had 6 months to contest the chargeback, however we heard nothing further.
Its a scam!
Its a scam!
In my case they said thay had dozens of jobs needed doing and asked for a quote.
When the email arrived with details they wanted hundreds of pounds to added to a directory a a premium supplier.
Sales guy couldnt get off the phone fast enough when i said they werent getting any money and wished them well finding someone to deliver the jobs because I wouldnt be.
Its a scam - What a waste of time and money
What a waste of time and money! It's definitely a scam, they have no customers, at least none that have contacted me. I'm furious I didn't take the time to look them up as I fell for it hook, line and sinker being a new business, makes my blood boil as some of the lines people have written I fell for. There are lots of 'companies/scammers' out there doing this sort of thing. 'We can put you on our listing as a preferred supplier lalala' 'We advertise to xyz', crooks! Nothing has come from it at all, making up figures, disgusting! Its like they search for companies on the last pages of google to call. I get quite a few I guess because I'm starting out. Its not a lesson I will forget and I'll never use a service that even sounds like this ever again. Do it yourself guys. They have a tenders4u and a schoolssupplyservice thing as well which is nonsense. I've got a first aid training company so if you are similar (or not) and you want to ask me about it please contact me
Careful with these scammers.........
Just wondering who those are who have given this company a Five star review. Apparently 47% of people rating them give five stars. I cannot find them here by scrolling down. All I see is some very unhappy businesses. Are the Five star donors by any chance related to the owners?
I decided not to proceed, after the initial cold call having read the venomous reviews here. The only reason I listened was that I had a very productive relationship with the Grant Maintained Schools Centre. But having read the reviews they never received any copy from me to put on their portal and thus never provided any service. However, they are claiming that my clicking on a link (which I do not think I did) constitutes a contract and so are now chasing me for nearly £3K. Thankfully , I started off as a lawyer, so am looking forward to how this plays itself out in Court. Not quite sure how promise and considerations , the fundamentals of contract in English and Welsh Law will be demonstrated.
Hopefully though COVID will kill the business off. The person sending me the invoice apologised and explained 'he was only doing his job'.!!
I would give them a zero if I could
I would give them a zero if I could. They have called and hung up on me when I asked to be removed from their call list.
Disgusting company
Disgusting company. Incompetent in customer service, and a bunch of scammers.
With the proven track record of these people, I wouldn't be surprised if the minority positive reviews are fake on here.
These people cold called me and offered me a contract for supplying my tree service to schools in autumn 2019, covering two post code areas local to me.
They lied to me, giving me false information about the contract, which swayed me to agreeing.
I paid my £600.00 for an 18 month contract.
A few days later they told me the complete opposite of what they told me when I was buying the contract.
I complained and asked for full refund based on mis-sold product and false information.
8 Months later ... pages of emails, ignored phone calls and voicemails and many, many ignored emails.
And no refund.
Oh, and let me just mention - not one call from a school to date!
Keep away from School Supplies / Edfirst.
