We purchased three 15000 tanks, delivered nearly two months ago.
Two were OK; the other was badly distorted as a result of the delivery driver over tightening the load straps.
Ecosure were adamant it would pop back into shape.
It never did.
They kept promising to sort it: they never did.
In the end, we had to make up a frame in our workshop to lower into the tank, and then use brute force with our excavator to force it back into shape.
It is now not “as new”, but usable.
The firm is very good before purchase; but aftersale service is very poor.

We ordered our 1200 Ltr Water Butt on 16 April 2025 and it arrived 6 days later although we were quoted 3/4 days, a little longer than expected which was clearly down to the Courier.

Upon receipt we noted a few issues that needed sorting and having spoken to their Sales and Technical departments who I have to say were very courteous and professional, a couple of the issues were sorted immediately. It took a few days to sort out a third problem with regards to a 3/4" Brass Ball Valve which appeared to be defective but having discussed it with their Technical Department in greater detail the problem was resolved over the phone.

All in all a really good experience, so much so that we would be more than happy to recommend them to friends and family and would definitely purchase from them again in the future.

Just a heads up these tanks are not crash tested! Our van insurance company wouldn’t insure it. The tank itself came late and lid damaged. Company did offer to replace but it meant more time off work wouldn’t use again.

No reply to sales enquiry ... twice!

As there have been no recent reviews on TP, I wonder whether they are still trading. If they are, it won't be for long if they ignore requests for prices.

Really happy with the quality. The chunky thickness makes it strong and the brass tape doesn't leak a drop with the ptfe round the threads. Looks good. Vented lid is a clever idea. Easy to open to see how much water you've got too. Delivered quickly from ordering too, just call them before buying and check delivery dates if you want to know when it'll be delivered as they're made in batches, that's all I did. It bows out a tiny bit when it's full but doesn't affect it and goes back flat when empty. I don't mind that minor flaw for all its pluses. Don't rush the install and you'll be really happy with it. I wouldn't swap mine for any other.

Ecosure were very helpful and efficient.

I bought a BIGCITY 380 litre which looks lovely and is sturdy and easy to fit. Unfortunately I think they need to rethink the design slightly as there is no way to access the inside of the butt. I would be very useful if the top with the planter lifted off for checking/cleaning and installing a solar watering system which suck the water from the top. So that's very disappointing.

Product looks good and is just what we needed, but after buying it well in advance, now that we come to install it we find that it leaks..!

I’m waiting to find out how the customer service will respond…

We ordered a Metropolitan water butt in sandstone. What a superb product. Just what we wanted. We had a little problem with the tap (dodgy threads) but John at sent a replacement with no hassle. Arrived a couple of days later. Thinking of ordering three more of the same in sandstone again.

I was happy with my experience. The waterbutt I purchased was great. The email advising the lead time provided an option to cancel if it was too long. Our came sooner than expected. I’d use this company again.

The perfect product when it finally arrives but customer services is terrible. There is nothing on their website to say there's a lead time of about 4 weeks, when you contact them noone responds for days and days, when it's finally delivered the packaging is so terrible it's damaged. I've told them (27th August )but noone replies. (Now 18th September)

I have had a consistently poor service. Ordered tank after calling to confirm lead time. Did not arrive I emailed- no reply, ignored. I called to them be told will not be made for weeks. A delay to my site that was costly. I waited weeks. Emailed- ignored. Called to be told will be delivery on a date between 8-5pm. Waited on site all day. Did not turn up. No answer when called, no email. So far there has been no communication, indefinite delays, two missed deliveries. And I’m still waiting. Having paid nearly £500 over 2 months ago (10-day lead time product), and sustained 3-week delay on site. Not one apology, just dismissive we’re busy response when I call. Please all be warned, do not expect item to be delivered or any customer service. Taken money and no tank. I’m still trying to contact and no reply
Update - had success today with delivery, and sales team helped. A long delay and many calls, but got the right product at good price so outed my rating.

This my second purchase as we were very pleased with the quality of the first. Very good service too.

EDIT:
I got a clarification from ecosure. Only the Lid is made is Italy not the whole tank. Hence I am changing my rating.
Reason for 4 star: After having paid 66 pounds for delivery, I expected bit more. I requested delivery guy who had means to leave tank on back side of my house ( from side of my house through a well paved path covering 6-7 mtrs ) where i could have connected to drainage pipe myself but that request got declined. Now i can't move that heavy tank myself and would need to explore how to move it :-|

This might not be an issue for everyone but it is for me.
I buy locally as much as practically possible. i bought my tank from their website that claimed it is made in Britain. However the actual tank is Made in Italy. Clearly a case of providing misinformation which is a big issue for me.
I am awaiting their explanation so until they reply, if anyone considers it important then hold on.
i will take them to trading standard once i get some clarification.

Looks great, delivered promptly, easy to fit. Bit concerned that the tap is so high you can’t access bottom third of the tank. Only realised that a stand would mean that the bottom draining hole would be more easily accessed after we’d fitted it to the down pipe. We’ll have to run a hose instead.

Great products and excellent customer service. Very friendly and responsive to telephoned queries, samples sent promptly, ordering very easy on the website and followed by prompt and courteous delivery. Impressive.

Ordered my Wall Mounted Butt but had to wait a few weeks for someone to install it. When it was being mounted the bolts were found to be too short and the butt bowed at the back so an alternative way was used to mount IE 4" brick screws. I emailed the company 3 times to no avail informing on what had happened. The bolts supplied were 45mm long and should have been at least 50mm. Definitely not happy with this company.

the city water butt duly arrived with a drill bit and tap but also something you dont need

of two sets of instructions ... one colour copy and one black and white a5 ... the a5 instructions were completely wrong for the water butt with no internal access and having read them both a few times found you had to ignore the first part of the a5 then follow the second half ...!!??

the instructions are truly horrendous

when fixing the water tap your instructed to wrap 4 or 5 layers of plumbers ptfe tap no more etc

later it suggests if the tap ends up upside down add more ptfe tape but not too much !!?? yup mine ended up upside down no matter shat j did until for the fourth time of removing old ptfe tape i wrapped 8 turns and still it didnt fully tighten when upright

you soon reaise they are inserting the female fitting upside down !! why

just insert a tap i to the female part before it gets heated into the wall !!!??

not good ... you only do this with strangers eyes once ... no care

I love the look of my waterbutt planter but there is no drain hole for the planter part so when it rains the planter fills up with water, plants rot, soil becoms waterlogged and smelly. There us a drain plug but if you leave that out the water and soil will drain into the butt collecting in the bottom. Contacted company by email but no answer so having to fashion a drain with some pipe and drill a hole for the water to exit at the back without going inside.
