If I could give zero stars I would give…

If I could give zero stars I would give zero stars. I am three days shy of one year of my $13,000 of equipment being installed. I purchased two 54,000 BTU mini split condensers with eight heads for for each unit. Within the first six months I had already spent an additional $1500 for service and repairs for defective merchandise. Add to that the additional $1500 it cost me to have the new condenser installed to replace the defective one. They may send you defective product and will continue sending you parts every time you need it fixed however you would’ve been better off going through a company that would’ve warrantee the product and you not deal with the headache. In one years time I have had three LG 54,000 BTU condensers go bad and the company just replaces parts and tells me to eat the labor. In the last year I’ve spent over $5000 in service to include the labor and for 10 the defective unit leaked on 9 pounds out of one of the units From a defective part. The constant come back is there following what the manufacturer tells them to do however they stick the customer with thousands of dollars in repairs out of pocket.

LG Mini split...No Heat..No Warranty

Purchase the LG Mini split unit that arrived with the heat not working. This system was professionally installed by local heating and air company and eComfort has made it next to impossible to get a warranty part. They require photographs of the installation both units from 5 ft and 10 ft from the front and sides, the original invoice of installation, the technician to call LG and be transferred around the world to get a case number before you call eComfort back to be required to have all this other mumbo jumbo. It is simply warranty avoidance...
Do not deal with this company they are deceptive...

A legit business with good value

I bought a Goodman AC condenser from eComfort. It is a scratched and dents unit with a great discount! The sales woman Michelle EXT 221 was very helpful in the intial ordering. Other service reps were also very polite and reachable when I encountered shipping problems (more on this later). When I eventually received the shipment, the scratches and dents are minimum, not visible from 10 ft away. It is indeed fully functional.
The only problem, which is the reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is related to the shipping, which is really not eComfort's fault except that the carrier was hired by eComfort. The carrier, which is R+L Carriers, lost the shipment somewhere in the route. But because of their poor information system and process, the people who make appointments with customers don't know that until the delivery driver can't find the item. They stood me up for 3 appointments until they finally located the item. Eventually, it was delivered. I would recommend that eComfort reevaluate their shipping partners. Reddaway is a much better choice in my experience.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

We purchased a mini split unit that has not cooled the room since day 1. I have had the installer out several times and still cant get it to work right. They refuse to return the unit because it is "used". I am beyond upset. These units are not cheap and it has never worked properly. I smelled the freon leaking from it. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. My mistake was not reading reviews before purchasing it. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!

We purchased a tankless hot water…

We purchased a tankless hot water heater from Ecomfort. After installing it we discovered that the unit was not functioning (could not have been discovered until after it was installed). We called them and were sent down the wrong path multiple times with their customer service reps. In the end, it took over 3 weeks for them to call Bosch and ask for a replacement part, which should have been easy to do the first time we called. If I had not have been hounding them on the phone I don't think it ever would have been resolved. We went without hot water for 4 weeks with all the delays. Terrible company with terrible service.

Do not do business here

First off, I'm glad that my purchase was only $180.00 or so, not complete systems like some here.
I ordered 8 Caleffi NA10062 Sweat X BSP adapters. They shipped the wrong items. I sent them a picture of the item I ordered, (copied from their site) and a picture of what they sent. I received a fairly fast response (probably a bot) saying an expert would get back to me in a few days. That was over 1 month ago. Still have not heard from them.
I will attempt to get the charges reversed on my credit card. Would not do business w them again.

Be aware.

Be aware.

One of 16 items was received. The single item was received on 11/20/2021.

They say that FedEX delivered the other 15 items to my front door on Thanksgiving day at 2:54. I am certain that did not happen. When i called about the other 15 items, i was advised i had waited too long. The only thing they offered was 10% off re-order.

Bob Dressler is who I dealt with. He was not willing to contact FedEX. FedEX advises me that the shipper has to file the claim. So, no way forward with FedEX for me, only for eComfort...

Disputed charges with BofA credit card and awaiting the outcome. I am now and shopping for the 15 parts I need elsewhere.

Good luck if you decide to use this business, i hope it goes better for you than it went for me.

Run...Don't Just Walk Away from eComfort...Bad Business!

In November 2020 I purchased an LG Red Artcool Split Air Unit 15K BTU for my office. The plan was to use it for both heating and cooling. It was installed by a local HVAC guy who had over 30 years experience installing LG and many other types of Split Air units. We ran it some when first installed and all seemed OK with it. About a month later when it really got cold we ran it for heat and the unit completely iced up and if the temperature was set to 70 degrees you would be hard pressed to get to 60 indoors. Unfortunately a short time after my installation the installer got very ill and passed away. I called eComfort (Power Equipment Direct) looking for some assistance. After several calls to them looking for some assistance, they told me that the sale was final and the problem was mine and I would have to locate an LG certified technician to come out and repair it. It took a month and a half to finally locate one (not even LG was helpful with this). The tech said he could schedule an appointment to come out when he gets a chance and because I did not purchase the unit from him I would be on the bottom of the list. I called eComfort again and asked for an exchange of the unit because this still didn't work and I was having difficulty getting a tech here. They said NO. I was able to get another HVAC company to come out and service it but when they tried to talk to LG they were told they were not a certified LG tech so they were unable to help them. After waiting about 2 months the LG tech finally came out. He connected his laptop and spoke to someone at LG who told them the main board needed to be replaced. The tech said I would have to go back to where I purchased it to get the warranty parts. I called eComfort again...and several more times with very little results. Finally I called and was very direct with them about the consequences if this was not resolved and was able to have a main board shipped to me for install. I had the LG tech come back and install the board...that was all he would do...and it was now spring time 2021 so no more cold weather therefore we could not test if it was going to freeze up again. So here I am winter 2021-2022 with freezing temps in PA, the unit is icing up and not producing heat. Freon was tested, new main board, new thermistor, I'm out a little over $1000 in service call charges, $1600 for the unit and I am running space heaters in the office to make some heat for myself and employees. A call back to eComfort one more time and I was told it is longer than a year so it is all on me. My advise is two fold. First, run...don't walk away from eComfort and Power Equipment Direct and secondly, skip buying LG. Their service network is terrible, they refuse to talk to you on the phone about a problem with their equipment and their equipment just doesn't work. To keep this readable in a short time I offer the short version here. There were numerous calls to eComfort, LG and searches for anybody who can fix the unit that did not work since installation.

I talked to real people

I talked to real people. No run around. No robots on the phone. I ordered wrong part, needed to return, I was hating it. They had a phone# better than some. Got a cup of coffee and got ready for a maze of robot voices. To my surprise I was given 2 opinions new or returning. Phone rang and a young lady said how can I help you today!!!! And did.

Ordered mini split system and was informed all items were in stock and would ship immediately. I received base unit and 1 head, the other 2 heads they forgot to ship and they shipped TWO weeks later. The sales persons response, “sorry, it was a logistical mistake we can cancel your order if you’re not happy. FIND ANOTHER RETAILER. This company is a rip off, has terrible customer service and can’t get orders out when promised. WARNING-DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

They advertise unrealistic shipping…

They advertise unrealistic shipping times (e.g. ships in 2-3 weeks). Actual shipping takes months with minimal communication along the way. I've received all my supplementary parts and accessories but still no PTAC. My entire project is on hold awaiting this equipment.

THEY WILL HOLD YOUR MONEY AND NOT FILL THE ORDER

Purchased a dual split system on 05/26/2021. They shipped most of the equipment by 06/29/2021 except for the actual heat pump. Kept me in limbo until 07/01/2021.
At that point they suggested the Samsung over the Fujitsu due to the inability to ship me the Fujitsu I ordered.
I agreed, though I did want the Fujitsu.
They said it was in stock and would go out as soon as I sent the wall units back.
A few days after this, they asked for pictures of the equipment. I had to have someone take pics and send them
At that point they sent the labels for return
I had them picked up the next day
They refused to send out the new units until they had the others in their possession. Even though they were fine holding over $3,000 of my money in good faith.
When they received the wall units, the sent the samsung wall units, but not the heat pump.
I waited.....
Nothing
I wasted hours on the phone and emails.
Never try to call them. They never answered a call. You have to leave a call back number and they might call you back.
I cancelled everything.
Sent everything back
I got $26 back on 08/17/2021 by check
$758 back on 08/07/2021 by check
$1,749 back on 10/06/2021 by check
$1,105 back by direct deposit on 07/06/2021.
This was a 5 month battle to get my order filled or the money back. Hours wasted.
DO NOT EVER USE THE ECHECK METHOD
use your credit card. At least my credit card company could have taken care of it.
Just crooked and an terrible way to do business.
I just wanted what I ordered and they said they had in stock. Took my money and held it.
Use your local HVAC people. My guy had it in within 7 days.

Too costly to return.

Puurchase an item from them and fedex charge to return the item was over $300. They do not use their business account for returns where the cost was under $10. You buy it, you own it.

Warning regarding return process

Warning regarding online product information and return process:

I purchased this HVAC system last winter, and unfortunately had a pretty negative experience with EComfort. I wanted to warn others so they don't fall into the same trap I did.

First off, the list of required accessories to the HVAC system I purchased was wrong, and I ended up purchasing a 1,000 part that actually came with the original unit and was completely unnecessary.

This would not have been the end of the world if there was a fair return policy. I was waiting on one final part to install my system, and discovered the mistake 2 months after the part arrived. I returned the part in all of its original packaging, untouched, but with a new cardboard box since I accidentally tore the original shipping box when opening it.

Ecomfort charged be 255 dollars to replace the cardboard box. When I asked if they could work with me, since they were mostly responsible for the return in the first place, I was told that they didn't even need to take the return at all since it was 2 months after arrival.

I recommend looking at another supplier that takes ownership of their own mistakes, and is more willing to work with their customers when a mishap like this happens. When expensive hvac parts are on the line, an equitable and just return process is extremely important.
