Refund due to cancellation
This must be the worst company ever for dealing with refunds. My train was cancelled part way to London from Edinburgh on 2 January. Dispite writing to them on 3 January and them replying 2 weeks later I am still waiting. On 29 January they told me I would receive a cheque within 21 days and after a phone call on 1 March I was told they are still dealing with cheques from 10 January. As my cheque was raised on 29 January it looks like sometime in the summer before I see a penny at this rate. I'm not allowed to speak to the person dealing with refunds , just some poor person who must be paid to take grief from customers all day when they get as frustrated as I am.I also asked for compensation as I'd bought tickets for football in London that day and that hasn't even been looked at yet. after a pretty standard request it's looking like a full blown complaint to the Ombudsman is brewing.
