Online check-in nightmare

I've hired cars from Easirent many times before. In fact they're my go-to hire car company. This time around my preferred location (Heathrow) had sold out of cars for the period I wanted, but hey! Fulham Broadway had cars and were very competitively priced. However it was online check-in only.
It wasn't clear what proof-of-address documents were required, my scanner defaults to PDFs but the site only accepts JPGs, it was not clear whether my uploads met the necessary criteria... It went on and on.
Eventually my partner discovered Europcar could do a longer hire for less cost, plus it was face-to-face, so I went to them.
Easirent now have images of my driving licence (both sides) and numerous bank, credit card and utility company statements. What do they do with them? I have no idea.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE - These are the most dishonest, fraudulent and incompetent car hire company that I have ever come across. They have lots of hidden charges and force you to pay extras as their systems do not allow you to pay deposits. When you get through to their "helpline" their managers are rude, deceitful and end calls when their lies are exposed. DO NOT USE.

Parking fine (total of £155) for having returned the car at its rightful place!

2 weeks after renting the car I receive a fine from the car park where the car was picked and returned. The fine is for not having paid parking when returning the car! It is either a bad joke or a scam (possibly both)!!
What is one supposed to do then... not return the car??
And obviously, on top of that, they take a £55 admin fee, for a fine that should never have been issued in the first place.

We have had 2 very poor experiences…

We have had 2 very poor experiences renting with Drivalia.

On Saturday 3rd December we were unable to make a pick up at Fulham Broadway due to 'technical issues'. We were made to wait for over 3 hours with little to no communication despite calling your number on dozens of occasions and not having my call picked up. When we gave up we were made to feel like it was on us for ‘requesting a cancellation’! Ridiculous!!

When we hired on Monday 12th December we were offered a free 'upgrade' for our troubles. We we upgraded from a Fiat 500 to a Suzuki Swift, basic model with nearly 70000 miles on the clock. Seems laughable as an upgrade. In fact l swear there was a little snigger by the consultant on the phone! Couldn’t even get the Bluetooth to work!

To make matters worse, on what was one of the coldest days of the year with snow, ice and fog, the back windscreen wiper didn't work so we had zero visibility out the back and if that wasn't bad enough, there was no liquid in the windscreen washer so in very little time at all the front windscreen became dirty, which then froze and was impossible to remove. Extremely dangerous in any conditions. We were forced to stop on several occasions to clean both the front and rear windows and force to buy windscreen washer liquid at our own expense.

I’ve lodged complaints but of course have heard nothing!

suspicious $ dealing, missing property and no response

They don’t answer the phone, which was pretty significant considering some of their locations are not manned (Fulham Bwy)-it took over an hour to get through. They said they couldn’t take my foreign card initially, so my sister used her credit card. They then refused to issue the key code as it wasn’t my card (although they didn’t have trouble taking my sister’s money). They then insisted on me sending a pic of my credit card, and within 12hs someone tried to use my card shopping online-coincidence??? They didn’t respond to various emails. Sister still waiting for refund.
On returning the car I left something on the back seat (after dropping the keys in the box I went back to check it was there). No reply to email. I eventually got through to ‘Margaret’ who said she’d leave a note and get back to me. No response. I went back to the car the next day, someone had obviously been there and given it a (rather bad) wipe over, leaving the wipers up. The car had not been moved (I took photos when I left it), and no sign of my item, yet no contact from the company. I have called and emailed-no response.

This is the second, and last time I’ll use them. Shame-the first time I picked up from actual people and things went smoothly. The second experience aligns with the abundance of other negative reviews. Very dodgy.

Unclean car with many issues

The rental didn't get off to the best start when I was called (by a polite employee) to be informed that a car wasn't available near me, and I would have to collect from Queensway (£5.00 on the underground).

On finding the car, it was not clean inside and out. The backseat had a used Covid mask and 1/2 filled Costa coffee cups. Car also smelled of smoke.

Car also had no fuel in it (despite rental being a full to full agreement), causing me to limp it to a petrol station and waste time. I also therefore spent more money on fuel than i used.

On the trip, the car's Oil and Service due warning came on, as well as the Adblue warning and to cap it all, a low tyre pressure warning.

Overall, v disappointed.
