Vile pus filled Cancer

1 star is still 8 million too many.

The DWP is deliberately set up in such a way that they can continually ignore you and push back their deadlines that they will intentionally miss EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The general enquiries line is possibly the second or third most useless thing to be inexistence as they are not able or willing to try and do anything remotely useful at all. The double standard that is set by them is infuriatingly obvious to everyone but them as they have all been trained to be government slaves to a script that they couldn't possibly break from to tell the truth of anything or to assist in any meaningful way. Despite the obvious frustration that this script causes with it's and their inability to be able to do anything useful they continue to plough forward hoping that it will make things a little better when the reality of it is that it only causes further frustration and anger to the point that they then decide to hang up on you because they cannot deal with the situation that they have caused.

Nobody should work here because clearly no one actually does any work at all. They like to pass you around and to different departments or more recently the method has been to set a pointless deadline and then escalate it sending you round in circles with the inevitable hope that you will simply give up due to their complete incompetence.

Useless, incompetent, rude, disrespectful, illiterate, deaf and infuriating are all incredibly accurate words that I could use to describe them but they are also not nearly strong enough. There is not language strong enough to describe them.

SHUT THEM DOWN IMMEDIATELY!

HORRIBLE

I ordered my Sonic Temple merch on 4/20 with a guarantee of receiving it before the shop so by 5/8. It never came. Got back from Sonic Temple and on 5/13 emailed DWP. I was told that there never was a guarantee and that the item will be shipped soon. Their website cleary said guaranteed before the show. They even has some BS line about avoiding the lines. I finally received my merch on 5/20. I will NEVER order from DWP again.

Woefull - INEPT- INCOMPETENT

I am a high dosage of Anti depressants. I got a letter to migrate from ESA to U.C by July, because of my Depression & Stress I contacted them that very day, asked if I could do it immediately without losing out as my condition can make me be forgetful, told I could. I had already been harassed to 'do it online' by the initial contact person, which I told them I won't as I want to speak with someone so it is CLEAR what is being said/done & mistakes/misunderstanding can be rectify right there & then. THE ONLY JOB OF THAT PERSON IS TO GET YOU TO GO ONLINE (Pointless/thankless task/job), I was RELUCTANTLY put through ONLY to HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE SAME B.S AGAIN!!!
STOP STRESSING ME OUT!!!
YOUR JOB IS NOT TO MAKE OUR LIFE HARDER, IT'S TO MAKE IT EASIER!!!
They told the council I have a 2nd property, which I do & I'm trying to do it up to rent (you can cancel/reduce my benefits once this in in place!!!). Now I have to supply my council with my bank account statements & other documents. They are constantly on my back. My U.C was JUST CANCELLED! NO QUESTIONS, NOTHING!!!

Advised by Citizen's Advice to reapply.
Asked by I.C if I'm PREGNANT!!! I politely/light heartedly said 'you don't need to ask me that", she said she "can't assume", then said she didn't want to continue with the phone call!!!!
NOTHING - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING had been said before this that caused either of us to get frusrated/annoyed or upset, it was going fine, except I had yo KEEP REPEATING MYSELF (I didn't let this show, didn't day anything, even though sometimes I had to repeat myself FOUR TIMES!!!)
THIS WAS TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE!!! WAY OVER THE TOP & ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to end the call.
I'd had a previous call where the member of staff hung up after less than 1 minute, again, no need.
Seems they pick & choose who/what they want to deal with. I worked for the DWP for 18 (EIGHTEEN) years. I & nobody I knew would EVER act this way. I NEVER had any problems.
SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT THE JOB CENTRE IS PART OF THE D.W.P!!! 😡🤬

Because I've had to reapply I have to RETURN to the J.C to supply documents that I showed them TWO WEEKS AGO!!!!
THEY CAN'T USE THEM????
ABSOLUTELY UNLESS.
U.C ROLLED OUT IN 2018, THE WAY THEY ARE IT COMES ACROSS AS IF IT ROLLED OUT A FEW WEEKS AGO.
JUST WINGING IT LIKE ROBOTS READING A SCRIPT. NO COMMON SENSE.
I had a letter from E.S.A which was ambiguous so I phoned on Tuesad 6/5/25 to get an understanding of what it meant.

I WAS ON HOLD FOR ONE HOUR & 47 MINUTES!!! YEP, YOU READ THST CORRECTLY 1HR & 48 MINUTES!!! I spoke with the person for UNDER 3 MINUTES!! YEP! UNDER THREE MINUTES!!!
I HAVE SCREEN SHOT THE TELEPHONE DURATION.
She said it was unacceptable customer service & to top it off I didn't need to get the letter but I did because 'someone didn't TICK A BOX!!!
INCOMPETENT- AMATEUR - IGNORANT - UNPROFESSIONAL.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN ANYONE/ANY ORGANISATION HAS EVER GIVEN.

We had a terrible case handler for…

We had a terrible case handler for universal credit and was bad doing communication and not good at updating our universal credit and she only ever called us once to sort out spit payment universal credit and she spoke to ian and me over the phone and my husband agreed to split payment but because of finding out there had been a fraud on my bank card she said that we had to wait until new bank card turns up I did try to explain that all she needed was my bank account details, and after a few weeks after I contacted her about mu bank card she had done nothing at all and she promised to escalate it but she never did so in the end someone higher than her had to sort it out and she was still our case handler when my husband did what he promised when his lump sum and pension is in he did this over the phone to her plus to make sure as he had a appointment at southmead Hospital at the pain clinic he arranged to go into the job centre filton and he turned up obviously in a lot of pain because of medical conditions, plus he does suffer with memory issues because of his diabetes especially diabetic neuropathy in his chest muscles so the medication affects his memory issues and also been a diabetic for years and he was medically retired from his job, and he keeps diary's to help with his memory issues and after calling our case handler he wrote in his diary and his hospital appointment and his appointment in the job centre filton, he provided this proof when we had a home visit I witnessed it so for five years for some reason our universal credit phone account was not updated, obviously we thought after we informed our case handler, it was sorted out, and obviously it has not happened at all and while we was waiting for our complaints to be sorted out a high manager from universal credit admitted that our case handler had not updated our universal credit for five years, and we did contact citizens Advice Bureau as we was advised and they did a letter for us to sign and send to dwp debt department and after a few weeks we heard nothing and we called them and they could not say where the letter is and said they did not no about it and this was a letter to help with a waiver, and even though we did this and even got our mp involved they keep saying that ian never informed them this is what they keep telling our mp and us so wr now have to pay just over£45 thousand pounds back and they are going to take money away from his pip which he uses to get to medical appointments as no one can drive in our house for medical reasons basically even though dwp and universal credit staff make a mistake you have to pay the overpayment back

DWP wanted to phone me regarding a UC review, im not exactly thrilled by this! I can’t stand them but, nonetheless i was waiting on my call at 1pm, a few minutes went by, nothing! It ended in them not being able to speak to me, as a result they suspended my payments through absolutely no fault of mine! They cant admit they can be in the wrong!! Im absolutely livid with these brainless people! I cooperated fully with what they asked of and they do THIS?! You disgust me DWP!

Giving these clowns 1 star is being over generations

Again waited 2 hours on the phone to get a problem with my payments sorted then got put on the phone who had trouble speaking basic English and having to ask over and over and over again to repeat what they said and they could not understand me either, it is not but sheer exhaustion dealing with these people, l think they do it on purpose that you will end up giving up and ending the call when they have .essed me around for months, owing me a lot of money

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL SERVICE

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL SERVICE – STRESSFUL, INCOMPETENT, AND UNACCEPTABLE!**

I am FURIOUS with the way I’ve been treated by DWP. Today, I called at 5:35pm after getting home from work, only to be left on hold for *37 minutes! When someone finally answered, all I could hear was typing… and then they HUNG UP ON ME without even acknowledging I was there! This is beyond unprofessional, it’s downright VILE.

This is BEYOND stressful! Your negligence, lack of communication, and sheer incompetence push people to breaking point. Sort it out, respond to us, and STOP treating people like they don’t matter!

Uncontactable

Told I would receive a call between 8am and 6pm, having had to register my number as could never get through when I called them. Changed plans and was anxious at times when driving that I would miss the call. I was not called! What a waste of time! At a loss as what to do next.

Truly Awful.

Would give negative stars if possible. Poorly run, bordering on fraudulent practices, no accountability, impossible to contact, love to threaten people. Received fines in 2020, followed by years of harassing letters, paid off fully six months ago, now a new fee has appeared from nowhere and now they are threatening to contact my employer, after scrutiny there was a mistake and these fines were unjustified in the first place, this company are the worst, they are a law unto themselves. I truly hate this organisation, they are not fit for purpose, genuinely gave me suicidal thoughts during the pandemic because of their behaviour.

How can they be so incompetent?

Why do simple things have to be so difficult? All I want to do is change my bank details for my state pension. There is only one phone line that can be used and no-one answers, no matter how long I wait on hold; they don't even tell me what place I am in the queue because, I suspect, there is no queue and no-one will ever answer the phone, making it impossible to change your payment details. How can organisations be this incompetent?

Disgrace.
On hold ALL day (between 10 and 3 which is their maternity line working hours)
As a higher rate tax payer i just want to confirm i will have some maternity allowance as self employed.

They are a disgrace, keep dropping my call.

This country is not made for the hard workers who pay to uphold the broken system.

This needs reform.
