Excellent from start to finish
I called DE Plumbing Services with an emergency on a Saturday evening and couldn’t have been happier with the service. The attending engineer arrived promptly and was professional, knowledgeable and reassuring throughout. He quickly identified the problem, clearly explained what was needed and carried out the work efficiently and to a high standard.
It’s not always easy finding someone reliable at short notice, especially at the weekend, but the service from start to finish was excellent. I would highly recommend DE Plumbing Services and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
Thankyou!!
Avoid where possible.
We had DW plumbing help us back in October to resolve some issues around our bathroom - a radiator not heating and the shower leaking. They sent someone who seemed relatively junior, took 3 hours to complete the job, and invoiced us for double the quote they initially provided.
With the recent heatwaves, we’ve discovered that the shower valve they replaced doesn’t allow the shower to provide cold water. We’ve reached out to them to resolve and have been ignored.
Avoid them where possible.
Excellent Company

Charged £90 for an issue that wasn't there before they came.
Came to remove a radiator. That evening I had no shower, I called and asked if I needed to turn on the water in the loft (which had be turned off by the plumber) and was told "I don't know I wasn't there, I'll find out from the guy who came out" - lovely and patronising. After chasing him for an update a few HOURS later I was told I could turn it on myself. Surely this should have been done by the plumber?
The following morning I woke up to water coming out of my light fittings in the kitchen. I called DW plumbing and was told I MAY be charged if it wasnt connected to yesterday work. The issue was a tiny red twisty thing on the boiler that had released when the water was turned back on. I was charged £75 "heavily discounted" accorded to Richard. I don't see how this is a chargeable call out as this issue didn't happen before the radiator was removed. He kept talking over me, he kept mansplaining everything and patronising me. Repeating himself over and over again. Ended up paying £90 with vat, for someone to come for 20 minutes to twist a red thing into place. THAT'S ALL. I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Serious regrets
Turns out I should have read the reviews.
The work seems alright, but the quote went from 180 + 50 for parts to £600. Judging from these reviews that isn't unusual for these guys.
And judging from these reviews I can look forward to a threatening or insulting call/message. Yay.

My experience with DW Plumbing Services
My experience with DW Plumbing Services was extremely disappointing. I initially contacted the company on a Thursday, and this individual promised that a technician would arrive the next day, Friday, between 9AM & 10AM Unfortunately, he never showed up at between those times and when I followed up, he pushed the time to 11:30 AM, and then to 4:30 PM due to other jobs.
When the technician arrived a very young chap. He inspected the leaky tap and the bath panel but never mentioned that the fix would be temporary. He only told my wife at the very end and charged £129 including VAT.
The next morning, when I called the company to inform
them that the tap was still leaking, we had a very heated exchange. He refused to refund any money or send someone back to fix the issue properly. I feel completely ripped off and will not be using their services again.

Good job but costs not made clear!
Good job but costs not made clear!! £120 an hour - I heard £120 for the first hour then £60. Turns out the £60 is for each half hour - so £120 an hour. Would never have booked if I'd known it was £120 per hour. Also, charged travel time as plumber was not carrying stock.

> Overpriced Overcharged, Threatened Over a Review, and Still Left With a Leak — A Complete Breakdown of My Experience with DW Plumbing Services
> Overpriced, misleading and unprofessional experience.
I contacted DW Plumbing Services for a simple kitchen sink waste and overflow replacement. Over the phone, I was quoted £120 plus VAT.
However, after the job was done, I received a bill for £248.40 — more than double the quoted price.
What’s worse is that the plumber didn’t actually spend 1.5 hours working. He left midway, claiming he needed to collect parts from his van, and disappeared for a while, unnecessarily extending the job duration. Anyone familiar with plumbing would know this job should take no more than an hour.
The £162 labour charge for 1.5 hours is completely unjustified and far above standard Medway rates.
When I questioned the invoice, I didn’t receive a clear or fair explanation.
I’ve since spoken to other local plumbers who confirmed this job should typically cost £120–£150 including VAT.
I strongly advise anyone to get a written, fixed-price quote before allowing this company to start any work. I regret trusting them and feel thoroughly overcharged.
After I posted this review, the business owner Richard contacted me, insisting that I remove my review. He claimed our disagreement was due to a language barrier and asked about my nationality — which I found completely irrelevant and unprofessional.
He then told me that unless I deleted my review, he would speak to his solicitor about taking action against me. As a “gesture,” he offered to discount if I agreed to remove the review. I explained that money was no longer the issue — what mattered to me was honesty, trust, and sharing my genuine experience.
Despite this, he kept repeating the same thing: “We did a professional job, you only care about money.”
The worst part is — today I discovered that my sink is leaking again from the same area they supposedly fixed. When I called the company, Richard once again said he would only send someone to look at it if I removed my review first.
I reminded him that when the plumber did the job, I specifically asked about the guarantee, and was told that they would come back for free if there was any issue.
Richard dismissed this and told me bluntly, “I don’t care what you were told. Remove the review or do whatever you like.”
This is by far the most unprofessional, unethical and manipulative customer service I’ve experienced in the UK. I stand by my review, and I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company.
UPDATE 2:
After leaving my honest review about my poor experience with DW Plumbing Services, the owner, Richard, contacted me again. In his message, he accused me of writing a “defamatory review” simply for sharing my genuine experience, threatened legal action through his solicitor, and claimed there was no workmanship guarantee — despite what I was told by his staff at the time of the job.
He also stated that unless I removed my review, he would not honour any aftercare on the leaking job they did. This kind of intimidation and dismissive attitude is highly unprofessional and deeply concerning.
For clarity:
I shared a truthful account of what happened.
The leak under my sink is still ongoing.
I was quoted a lower price over the phone than what I was charged.
I was offered a refund only on the condition of removing my review.
And now, I’m being accused of defamation simply for sharing the facts.
This is unacceptable behaviour for any business and I would strongly advise others to be extremely careful when dealing with this company.
charged for 3hrs to replace a like for…
charged for 3hrs to replace a like for like electric shower that was quoted at 1/1.5hrs is unreasonable. VAT add on top of the retail price of the shower supplied is a rip off. He argued that they are a business hence the VAT. It seems they are not even VAT registered. The shower wouldn't even switch on or off as it's suppose to so they did some makeshift work fix the problem. No recommendation from me.

Excellent Plasterers
David and Barry Wood have completed a 10 out of 10 job. I would recommend them as pleasant and very thorough in their work. Thanks to them for their Professionalism too...
Friendly, reliable and fair
Friendly, reliable and fair. Highly recommend. They came and fixed the problem within a day and charged a fair rate. Unfortunately there was a further problem, but they came back to fix that free of charge. Thank you!
Good job late evening
The plumber (can't remember his name) was unable to visit at the agreed time, but came later in the evening and sorted out the problem (seized up stopcocks). After leaving, an unexpected problem arose ( a tap blockage which may have been an unintended and unlucky consequence of his previous work), and he turned around having just reached home and returned to sort the problem out, by now in the late evening. He talks a lot, but he did the job!
Do not use this business, not to be trusted.
My wife contacted this company and was quoted 1 hour to do the job, "unlikely to be longer" the usual caveat but she asked 3 time. Didn't arrive in time slot, over ran and overcharged, demanded payment on the spot without invoice or parts charge. When my wife called about the overcharge he claimed he never said it and threatened her with defamation of she gave a bad review.
I wanted to complain and found only first names and mobile phone. They advertise with a Gas Safe logo and gas boiler works but are not Gas safe registered. The also invoice with vat of which the business is not VAT registered. When a VAT receipt is provided it is in the name of a registered company......
Amazing workmanship
Amazing workmanship, very professional and respectful. We would highly recommend.
Do not use them
Do not use them, they are bunch of crooks and do not know how to put on shows and other pluming jobs.
Quality service and very fast response…
Quality service and very fast response time for our leak. I cannot fault the service highly recommended !!!
Andy is always willing to support my business and or needs, he always finds a way to get the job done. We would be lost without them.
