Prompt support and restoration of my site.

I migrated my website to an isolated environment from a shared environment since it was growing up. However, the CDN was pointing to the old database, and I was still putting my new pages in there. This was causing many issues.

When I sunset the shared environment and the database with it my website lost my new pages.

Working with Dreamhost support the promptly restored my work and I did not lose anything. This was a great peace of mind.

Exceptional care that should be the standard.

I was having all my emails going to gmail addresses blocked. My email is going through iCloud while my domain and website are with DreamHost. While it wasn't a problem on the DreamHost side they took the time to help me get the problem resolved since I wasn't getting anywhere on the other side.

At one point I gave up and just started using my Gmail address to send those communications and then I would get a message from DreamHost asking if they can help get the problem resolved. They could have closed my ticket as soon as we knew it was something I needed information from Apple to resolve, but they didn't. That extra effort on their part is exactly what I needed. I don't see that type of care much anymore. I wish I did.

Worst hosting now

We used to love dreamhost, currently service is not good, no help at all and charging very high.. their domain name is at $29, while in godaddy / namecheap is just $2.99 and if want to transfer to them, they charge $29... wtf

You get what you pay for

Good: cheap
Bad: extremely slow, clumsy interface. Wordpress backups (both SQL and files extremely broken to the point of providing corrupt downloads. PHPMyAdmin unresponsive.

Fine if you want a throwaway site and don't care about the contents much. For anything serious, pay a bit more and get a real hosting provider.

DreamHost Customer for Ten Years!!

I’ve been a DreamHost customer for a decade now and there’s no one else I’d trust more with my companies’ web hosting services.

The customer service is outstanding and they are usually able to resolve my requests within a 20-minute window.

The company is on top of keeping hosting services and updates current, and they offer a wide variety of services and pricing tiers for web hosting to domain registration and building your website.

I work in nonprofit management and consulting, and DreamHost has been a preferred vendor among the nonprofit community for web hosting service for the past decade.

I recently experienced a major service disruption with one of my companies with a vendor who was mismanaging our fundraising platform, and DreamHost “saved the day!” They walked me through a new website setup and migration, ensuring full functionality and capabilities were in place so we could continue to provide our services to the community. All in a matter of one customer service call and in under an hour. It was the easiest transaction and a great experience!

The entire DreamHost team really knows what they’re doing and are highly skilled at their craft. I have three businesses registered with them and total peace of mind knowing I can rely on them to keep my companies online, safe and my websites running at optimal capacity.

Amazing level of support!

Yesid went above an beyond to help fix our site issue, including helping to transfer over all of our DNS settings from CloudFlare. We moved from Hostgator two years ago…

We moved from Hostgator two years ago to Dreamhost. We’d been with the other guys for over a decade and two different acquisitions. The personal touch was gone. Dreamhost is owned here in the US (which was key for our move) and the service from DH has been absolutely wonderful. Very responsive. I highly recommend and will never leave these guys as long as they keep this level of customer service up!

Quick & effective solution to a mailbox problem

Hosting my website at Dreamhost since 1999! Had an issue with the mailboxes of one of my domains. Submitted ticket, got near-real-time response, had one more quick exchange, and then the issue was fixed.

They were helpful and professional, and gave me the right guidance without overcomplicating things. I appreciated that they explained why certain redirect methods would not work with DreamPress and pointed me in the right direction.
