Delivery via DPD is an absolute failure

Delivery via DPD is an absolute failure of service.

The parcel was supposed to be delivered to an AlzaBox right next to my home. Instead, without any meaningful explanation, it was redirected to a pickup point 2.3 km away. There are multiple other pickup points and boxes much closer to my address, yet none of those were used. I was not contacted, and no one asked whether this change was acceptable.

The parcel weighs 8 kg. How exactly does DPD expect someone without a car to carry it over 2 kilometers? There is also no reasonable public transport connection to that location. This is not a “minor inconvenience” – it is a complete disregard for the customer.

If I choose delivery to a specific box, I expect that:
1. the parcel is actually delivered there, or
2. I am at least contacted and given the option to choose an alternative

Neither of these happened.

This experience clearly shows why DPD has such a poor reputation. Instead of making life easier, the service creates unnecessary problems.

I would genuinely like to know how this is considered an acceptable delivery standard in 2026.

Definitely not recommended.

The worst delivery service I have ever…

The worst delivery service I have ever seen! They didn’t deliver my package to the indicated address and sent it to completely different location. When I wrote the email to them, they refused to do anything to solve the problem.
The most useless company ever.

Lied to by DPD again.

Another DPD driver who lies about being unable to deliver as we could not provide a pin number .The fact is the driver was NEVER at our property we and several members of staff were here all day and some of our 8 HD cctv cameras would have picked them up!

incompetent people

Dear DPD,

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with your services. Your company has failed to provide excellent service, initially by not delivering information regarding the box, citing that it was full. I discovered the reason after calling your call center, where I was promised that the delivery would be made to another designated location that we agreed upon, with a commitment for delivery today. However, I learned today from your call center that you failed to update the system to reflect the change in delivery address, as it was the end of the shift. Now, I am told that the delivery will be made tomorrow, without any compensation or proper apology. This is further proof that you are hiring incompetent people to work with you! This is unacceptable!

Not only they wrote the wrong ZIP code…

Not only they wrote the wrong ZIP code before even checking where to send the parcel, but this led to sending the parcel out of Prague. As soon as I called the customer service the lady was making fun of my requests and questions and didn’t give any useful informations. Me and my husband work both office jobs and are not home in the morning unless we take a free day for a delivery, that led to 3 free days from work because they kept postponing the delivery from the driver. Never ordering with this company again, they do not care about their customers and give no solution to solve the situation. It always ends up in a loop, if you are not home they postpone the delivery to the next day and so on, until the order doesn’t go back to the original store. USELESS.

This company is completely bad never…

This company is completely bad never select this for you order to deliver. In Czech Republic they even never answer your calls and SMS. Today they supposed to deliver my goods but I got email from them that they will not, and tomorrow is Christmas and for 3 days everything will be closed. Now is there anyone to answer me what will I do with that gift I bought for someone after Christmas? 1000 times I called the F driver but he didn’t answer and they don’t have customer service, do plebe advised never use DPD

Unlike every other courier service they…

Unlike every other courier service they couldn't simply change the address that it was supposed to be delivered to. After registering just to do this it went from being delivered today ( no time window, no tracking) to in the depot. It was supposed to be delivered Monday and now it might be delivered tomorrow? Just garbage, I updated the address yesterday evening and they have had two updates since at the depot but then didn't deliver, WTH?!?!

DPD do not know their pick up points

I had an order from Allegro. I selected DPD pick up point close to my home. They kept my parcel more than 20 days in their warehouse outside of Prague. I tried to contact at least 5 times via phone and email. No body help me and was not able to answer why my parcel is not delivered. I followed everyday my parcel status and they updated everday that because of lack information about the delivery address, they are not able to send me. I called lots of time and explain them it is your pick up point not my home address. After 21 day, parcel status changed and they are returning back to the seller. I hope they can fins it at least the seller. All delivery companies bad in CZ but I never see that bad.

Dreadful

Dreadful. They indicate a time of delivery just to send later an e-mail requesting "missing" information ( which they had all along) . No way to contact them on the phone where you end up in a loop. And it's unfortunately a regular occurrence with DPD.
There is a serious problem in general with parcel delivery services in Prague, with apparently no government control on the licenses of companies and staff .Somebody should clean up the mess, it's high time!

The worst delivery company in Prague

The worst delivery company in Prague. The last 5 deliveries the driver has failed to turn up, and the delivery is marked as 'delivery attempted by no one home'. Complete nonsense the house has a reception 24/7.
This time I re-scheduled to a local Delivery pick up point, only for DPD to drop of at a completely different location across the city.
Completely useless company, much better to use GLS, UPS or PPL.

If I could put 0 stars I would. I was told the package was delivered and as I could not find it near the bin or in my garden or by the door as he claimed he had put it there, I called the delivery man who had texted me permission to leave it without a signature. He said it was not his problem that I could not find it. When I called back he just hung up on me several times. Unacceptable and rude customer service. His phone number is +420.704.682.377
This is the last time I am going to accomodate drop off without a signature. Terrible service and lost package.

Second horrible experience with DPD

I´ve received message this morning that the delivery will be today between 11:30 and 12:30. As I am very ill (cancer), I am always at home, all day long. At 11:40 I saw the new status of my parcel, unsuccessful delivery attempt. Nobody was here, nobody called. The driver just decided not to deliver the parcel, even thou the service was paid. And this is second time it happened.
If you have internet shop, do not use this delivery service. Or at least give your customers a choice. I have ordered small furniture for my bathroom and have no idea whether I´ll ever see it.

Absolutely the worst package handling I…

Absolutely the worst package handling I have ever come across. The damage is like a deliberate act of vandalism. Use PPL whenever possible. They really "take care of your shipment like it was their own."

They are so much incompetents.
I definitely don't recommend, if you are reading this comment, please run from them, send/receive your package by another company, or you will not receive it.
