My experience at Dollar Rent A Car was terrible from the moment we walked up to the counter. Before it was even our turn, we watched employees interact with other customers in a way that came across as rude, impatient, and uninterested in helping. The staff looked miserable, like they didn't want to be there, and that attitude was obvious throughout the entire interaction.
When it was finally our turn, the customer service was just as bad. The representatives were short with us, showed no empathy for our situation, and made absolutely no effort to help us find a solution. The attitude we received was essentially, "Oh well, not our problem." There was no professionalism, no understanding, and no attempt to provide good customer service.
What made it even worse was that one of the employees displaying this attitude was the manager. Rather than setting an example, she was the most unpleasant person at the counter. She appeared completely disengaged, unfriendly, and uninterested in assisting customers.
On top of the poor customer service, I arrived expecting to pick up a vehicle that I had reserved, only to be told that I could not rent because I did not have a credit card and a second form of identification. These requirements were either not clearly communicated or not emphasized during the booking process. As a result, I was left stranded and forced to find another rental company at the last minute.
The combination of rude staff, poor management, lack of empathy, and unclear rental requirements made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. Thankfully, another rental company was able to help me without any issues. I will not be using Dollar again and would not recommend this location to others.
