D&J Autos Ltd Sold DANGEROUS condition vehicle
My daughter recently purchased a second car from this garage - it was a part-exchange for one she had also recently purchased from them and was so fed up with the issues with that vehicle that she wanted to give it back. On the test drive of the new vehicle, noise was heard from the brakes. The dealer assured her that this would be fixed. The noise continued after purchase and so, given the previous issues, she decided to get a second opinion. £2300 later we cannot get the dealer to agree to fund the repairs in full. They have only offered half as a goodwill gesture, not acknowledging at all the company's failures in selling the vehicle in such a shocking condition, which included welded wheel bearings! The rectifying garage highlighted that there were three DANGEROUS conditions on the vehicle which should never have passed the MOT which D&J Autos had done before the vehicle was purchased. On the basis of our experience, I would never recommend this garage to anyone. There has been absolutely no apology for the potential risk to my daughter's life in selling this vehicle in this illegal condition. Matters have now been reported to Trading Standards
