This is the fourth kitchen I have purchased from DIY kitchens and as with the previous three the quality and price were unbeatable. With the exception of one drawer front being misaligned everything else was perfect and installation was really straightforward.
The misaligned drawer front was replaced with the minimum of fuss and at every stage of the design/purchase/aftersales, everybody I dealt with was really helpful.
I regret to say however, that this will probably be the last DIY Kitchen I buy - I discovered that Howdens have just purchased the company and I am fairly certain they will change it for the worse. A real shame since DIY Kitchens were really different and made it incredibly easy and affordable for homeowners to design and install their own kitchens to a professional standard. Almost a complete antithesis to Howdens!
So long DIY Kitchens and thanks for everything!

This is a company that always seems to be on the front foot. You always know exactly where you stand with your order. Their staff QA your plans with good knowledge and expertise. Queries/requests/complaints are dealt with immediately with a fair degree of empathy - so rare these days !! The quality of their products is really good. Overall this has been one of the best "big product" purchase and buying support experiences that I have had in my many years of similar transactions.

The good -
No pushy sales people. Free door samples. The planning tool (see also ‘the not so good’!), the ability to plan myself (although I did use a freelance designer to give me general layout options and challenge my original ideas), and the quality of the units and doors, the DIYK community and real customer reviews on the website.
The not so good -
The planner can be clunky and throws up frequent glitches but I did get to grips with it, the process of asking questions can be slow, the delivery arrangements are not customer friendly, and refunds are not automatic.
Overall I am delighted with my kitchen.

We purchased our new kitchen units from diy kitchens which we found on line.
Overall impression of kitchen really good quality and up to date modern design. We felt the units were solidly built and look great. We estimated we saved about £5000 by going with diy kitchens and fitting ourselves . Definitely would recommend them

This was the eighth kitchen order I have placed over the last 20 years as I have a small holiday rental business. I have always been a big fan of DIY Kitchens and have recommended them to many others. Unfortunately I had a very problematic experience this time, including with the manner in which they were dealt with. I am sad to say that I will not be giving them my business in future.
I ordered a bespoke-painted in-frame kitchen with an order value of around £15,000. Problems encountered include:
- Significant number of missing and damaged items on delivery. Some items were removed from the delivery by DIY Kitchens themselves as part of their quality checks, but with only 24 hours notice given of this prior to delivery.I understand the need to check for quality but believe this should be carried out in good time to correct the order in time for the agreed delivery, or very shortly thereafter.
- Repeated remedial orders were required over an extended period. The last piece was delivered 6 weeks after the original delivery date! There were long lead times to produce missing and damaged items, with apparently no priority given to a customer whose orders already significantly delayed and otherwise ready for installation.
- Multiple deliveries needed before the kitchen could be completed, including remedial deliveries themselves having items missing and needing to be reordered. This was very frustrating with only passing apologies when these were reported.
- There was poor ownership of the issues within the customer care team, with me repeatedly having to chase progress and often dealing with someone different each time. An individual should have been available to correct so many errors in my order and see the matter through to the end.
- Time spent coordinating replacement parts, deliveries and installation far exceeded what should reasonably be expected.
- DIY Kitchens accepted in principle during the complaints process that my overall customer experience fell below the standard they expected. They acknowledged repeated delays, multiple remedial deliveries and poor complaint ownership.
- However, despite this, the complaint response focused largely on explaining their internal processes (of no interest to me) rather than addressing my horrendous customer experience. Having pressed them a few times on their response, and suggesting they might consider offering me a goodwill discount on my next (already planned) order as an appropriate response to a regular customer, they flatly refused and offered me £200 . This amounted to less than 1% of the value of the order, and a little more than the delivery charge I had paid for the terrible delivery experience. I challenged this and was told that the amount "goes beyond what would ordinarily be offered in circumstances such as these and reflects the overall experience you have described". I have refused to accept the payment as I found it insulting.
The quality of the cabinets themselves remains good (when the quality issues were finally resolved) and not bad overall value, although their prices have increased significantly over the years and they are no longer as competitively priced as they once were.
After being such a devoted customer over so long a period, I no longer feel able to use or recommend DIY Kitchens. I will give another supplier my business going forward.
A great pity.

The materials and construction are quality, even our kitchen fitter agreed that the kitchen units and additional items (cornice, plinths) were better than most rival (big DIY chains, howdens etc). They look great, we opted for solid wood shaker doors. And the review process before ordering gave us piece of mind that we had included everything

Customer service were always helpful, polite and efficient. They managed our expectations and did their utmost to provide replacement parts as quickly as possible.
The only reason we haven’t given five stars is because we had to wait a long time for the laminate worktop to arrive as it was ordered from a different company.
However, the quality of the whole product was fantastic and relatively inexpensive, and we have had no end of compliments from friends and family about what a beautiful and top quality kitchen we have. Consequently we have been highly recommending DIYK to everyone we know!

Experience so far has been fine, the customer services advisors are always pleasant and friendly. The products are of a good quality and reasonably priced. Delivery to date been on time and the delivery drivers have been polite respectful and happy to help

Kitchen quality is amazing, almost half the price to other competitors for better quality! Delivery was the only let down, we got told it would be delivered tomorrow 3 times and then on the day it got cancelled last minute, did eventually get it delivered by the end of the week but after many phone calls.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen from DIY. We have found that they are lovely people to work with when in need of a replacement kitchen. The showroom is first class and staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
The design team were a great help when designing using the online planner.
The quality of our new units are so much better than the old kitchen. I found them easy to install with adjustable feet, hinges and brackets.
The value for money is remarkable when considering the quotations we had from other local and national companies.
Very many thanks DIY

Great price.
Great range.
Fantastic customer service both online and phone.
Excellent custom colour availability.
Well organised delivery - had to phone to find out when it would be, but the items arrived very well labelled and easy to see what's what.
Excellent quality units, only negative is that we had some units customer paints by DIY and already there are small chips, the paint comes off extremely easily.

The whole design/ordering and delivery experience was faultless.
The staff were helpful both on the phone and in visits to store.
I am delighted with the kitchen and feel that it is well made and stylish

I chose a DIY kitchen because the DIY design process was really good! I didn’t need assistance with layout of my kitchen because I knew what I wanted so this made sense to me.
Our fitter even commented on how good the quality of the units are! He was very impressed. No flimsy backboards and sturdy well made units. We have the Bramley range.
The delivery process was really smooth, and we had no significant damages.
We are really impressed and would always recommend DIY kitchens to others.

Beautiful range of colours and units, was able to fit a lot of storage into my smaller kitchen with their tall units and thinner range. Delivery took quite a while but that’s because it’s made to order and once delivered was already put together and very easy to fit into place.

Easy from beginning to end. Fantastic showroom. No pressure from sales people, only help and advice. When i finally decided on my kitchen, there are so many to choose from,I started to design it. I loved this process but, if you don't feel confident they will do it for you. There was so much help when I needed it. The kitchen arrived ready built and it was so easy to fit. We did it ourselves. Would definitely recommend

• Door and carcass samples purchased arrived in good condition in a very timely manner.
• The interaction with presales team was excellent decided to order kitchen as initial impressions of a professional well organised UK company.
• After purchase of kitchen the communication was very poor especially with regards to delivery process it did not match the statement from company of a two-day window with a one-hour pre notice call.
• First kitchen delivery arrived damaged, cosmetic defects from manufacturing and transportation, chipboard dust inside, the shelves within the wall units were not stowed correctly which damaged them, staples on the back were inserted too deep which resulted in the laminate and chipboard being damaged during manufacturing and footprints where they had been stood on.
• Recorded the damage with photographs and complaints via there portal which was very time consuming they did not want to deal with the issues over the phone.
• Requested a full refund of money which was refused offered a replacement which I reluctantly accepted.
• Multiple communications back and forward over weeks in their portal with written assurances everything would be sorted for second kitchen first delivery was an isolated incident, and they had implemented additional quality control checks prior to dispatch.
• Highlighted at this point was not happy with level of Quality Control and Customer Service.
• Waited another 6 plus weeks for second kitchen to be delivered and first kitchen to be picked up for return, my partner was there to oversee this to our disappointment the same issues as first kitchen, so we refused delivery to avoid the pantomime of the first kitchen complaints.
• Multiple communications back and forward over weeks in their portal as would not deal with it over the phone received further written assurances everything would be sorted for the third kitchen and they had checked the second rejected kitchen over to find issues some things to re manufactured.( The question is how can they also find issues with a kitchen they had allegedly been checked prior to delivery by their management team?)
• At this stage informed no trust or confidence of there capability to supply what I ordered and paid good money for and was angry, majorly disappointed and been blatantly lied to the incompetence had created issues with my mental health and relationship with my partner.
• Requested full refund of money they were adamant a third kitchen checked over with management would resolve everything.
• Very reluctantly accepted the offer of a third kitchen as no option for a major discount or full refund.
• Waited 6 plus weeks for the third kitchen to be delivered to my major disappointment and major frustration it had the issues as previous failed attempts prior, its overall appearance and preparation was that of a mix n match of previous rejected units along with others they had lying about somewhere from other customer returns.( Some were dirty inside/out and had old stickers inside which had a half-hearted attempt at removal just left).
• Requested a full refund of money which was refused at this stage until photographed and reported on their portal again would not deal with the rejection or complaint via telephone.
• Went to the citizens advice bureau to see further help.
• Issued a citizens advice case letter requesting a full refund of money after several weeks of failed dialogue in their portal. Which took a further two weeks to reply to. They then stated a third party inspector would be coming out to view the third kitchen at my property. I asked for the inspectors credentials and informed them i had no time for some bam pot to be sent out to me.
• Finally agreed to a full refund with terms of receiving kitchen back to factory ok.
• They arranged for kitchen to be picked kitchen up which again had no prior notice of just a phone call out of the blue on the day telling me it was happening with an hours’ notice. (By luck I was off work dealing with personal issues that day).
• Waited another two weeks for refund with a statement to say they were not paying the £100 GBP delivery charge.
• I have had four days off work with deliveries and pickups.
• Down £100 GBP for the delivery which I am seeking further consumer advice on as we speak.
• Cancelled the joiner on three separate occasions which I have had to pay for.
• Multiple days and hours dealing with the complete shambles which has caused stress, anxiety and had a negative effect on my mental health causing a relationship breakdown.
• Major delay in moving into property has been 4–5 month raw ordeal in the end-to-end process.
• Now back at the start with having to order a kitchen form a more reputable and trustworthy supplier.
• I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy stay clear!

Initially went to Wren and was quoted £15,000 and was bombarded with calls for 2 weeks after from a pushy salesman that put me right off. I saw someone use DIY kitchens on Instagram and thought I'd give designing my own a go...I absolutely loved it, we went for Luca in Carbon - the finish is premium, the fact they were pre built units made installing a breeze. Also shout out to the customer support who offers advise on any queries with super speedy responses. I would have been sick to my stomach if I paid crazy high street prices! Saved over £8,000 with DIY - would use again (but I love my kitchen so I wont be changing anytime soon!) P.s my before photos give me nightmares!

I made a purchase from DIY Kitchen 3-4 years ago. I have been really impressed by, first of all the customers service. The help and advice I received during my planning was incredible, then the quality of the units have also been praised by my installers who never fitted them before, as they normally find more convenient using local suppliers due to convenience in case of having to replace something during installation.
They said that this kitchen are better than some very popular companies with lots of stores around. Obviously here you or your installer need to be able to plan the design and know exactly what is needed when placing the order as maybe it wouldn't be easy to make a quick change, but the amount of help received and the possibility of a 3D view will not allow mistakes. I have also purchased the work top and appliances at very competitive prices. Another amazing surprise was that after 4 years, I have again received a great service since they still have my login profile by which I received further assistance.
So I recommend this company and the quality of the kitchens 100%.
Thank you so much
