Interesting services

It was great I could say. I mean, one thing that bothering me is just that they're still get my withdrawal payment on pending. Elsewhere, everything was promising enough! Good work!

I've had an excellent experience with Ditto Music from start to finish. Uploading my music was simple, distribution was fast, and seeing my releases appear on major streaming platforms was an incredible feeling.

Two years of work, account banned without evidence

"Two years of work, account banned without evidence"
I was a Ditto Music customer for over two years, uploading original music and earning royalties legitimately. Without any warning, my account was permanently banned and approximately CA$900 in earned royalties were withheld — based solely on "unusual revenue patterns" from Audible Magic, a platform that Ditto itself distributes to automatically.
Throughout the investigation, I repeatedly asked Ditto to provide specific technical evidence linking fraudulent activity to me personally. They never provided any. Their final response stated they are "not obligated to provide evidence."
I never used any promotional service, bought streams, or ran any campaign of any kind. I only uploaded my music.
If you are an independent artist considering Ditto — be careful. They can permanently close your account and keep your earnings without showing you any proof of wrongdoing.

UPDATE 2026.22.6: Ditto Music replied to this review and admitted that my account was flagged and closed by an automated system — not a human investigation. They also confirmed they are unable to share the data used to make this decision. This means my account was permanently closed and approximately CA$900 in earned royalties were withheld based solely on an automatic alert — with no real investigation and no direct evidence against me.

We want to clarify how this process works. While the initial alert regarding an unnatural revenue spike from tools like Audible Magic is automated which is standard across the music industry the actual investigation and final decision were handled directly by our team.
Because we cannot share internal security and fraud detection data, our team manually reached out to you to request basic details about how your music was being promoted so we could help clear the flag. Since that verification wasn't provided, our team had to take action to comply with industry anti-fraud policies.

I misspelled my song title and sent it off for release.. I shortly realised I made an error so I e-mailed the team who quickly responded and corrected my mistake... great quick service from the team.. than you so much

In truth I have not used your platform

In truth I have not used your platform. I have been reading the one star comments to see how you handle complaints. I find it strange that with each person who complains about their account being suspended for perceived bot streams and your platform keeping their music up and receiving their royalties, your response does not ever say you will take down their music. How do you justify keeping a persons property and closing their account? I was considering using your platform but I find that to be vile. Even if you did it to only a few persons it means you can do it to me.

Timeline and Suspension after asking for help and receiving no guidance

We appreciate that Ditto has replied and says the team is reviewing the case, but we want to make the timeline clear.

Timeline:

May 22, 2026: Ditto support told us that the review covered the account as a whole, including collaborative releases, and that there was “no indication of any artificial streaming activity” and “no reason for concern at this stage.”

June 8, 2026: After receiving another warning, we contacted Ditto again because we were worried about the account. We specifically wrote that if we were “in danger of getting suspended and losing our access to Ditto” we would “like to take down our songs immediately.” We also directly asked: “Can you help us take down our songs?”

June 11, 2026: Ditto replied: “Please don’t worry,” and stated there was “no reason or grounds to believe” we were involved in artificial streaming and that “no punitive action” was being taken against the account at that time.

We also want to make clear that after asking to take down our songs to protect the account, we received no clear guidance or instructions from Ditto on how to proceed with the takedown. Instead of being given urgent support to remove the music and avoid any risk to the account, we were reassured that there was no reason to worry.

This is why the suspension is so concerning. We did not ignore the warning, we actively asked Ditto for help and trying to prevent this exact situation before it happened.

We specifically asked to take down our songs if the account was at risk, but instead of giving us clear takedown instructions or helping us remove the music to protect the account, Ditto did not address that request properly and reassured us that there was no reason to worry. Until they suspended the account.

Unauthorized distribution after termination & illegal catalog retention

Former client (independent label).

After requesting service termination and EXPLICIT WRITTEN CANCELLATION of all pending releases + full catalog takedown, the experience revealed severe and unacceptable practices.
CRITICAL ISSUES:

STREAM MANIPULATION (FAKE PLAYS): We detected systematic assignment of artificial streams (bots) to our catalog. This practice fraudulently inflates metrics, distorts royalty calculations, and puts streaming accounts at risk of bans. It is a grave ethical and contractual breach.

UNAUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTION POST-TERMINATION: Weeks after our written order to cancel EVERYTHING, they continued publishing NEW releases on download stores (Beatport) under our label without consent. This is illegal exploitation of intellectual property.

INDEFINITE CATALOG RETENTION: Months after termination, multiple legacy releases remained active and for sale. Chronic negligence in basic takedown processes.

DELIBERATE OBSTRUCTION: They refused to provide basic ISRCs citing "anti-fraud policies" (ironic, given point #1), deliberately hindering our legal migration to another distributor.

SILENCE ON FORMAL COMPLAINTS: Emails demanding full cleanup and explanations regarding fraud/unauthorized publications were met with silence or irrelevant automated responses.

CRITICAL WARNING FOR PROFESSIONALS:
If you seek a distributor that respects your music and data, RUN FROM HERE. Not only do they fail at offboarding (incomplete takedowns, unauthorized releases), but their statistical integrity is fundamentally compromised. What good are your royalties if they’re based on invented numbers? How do you protect your catalog if they keep selling it after you’ve left?
VERDICT: Extreme risk of fraud, loss of catalog control, and reputational damage. Opaque practices and zero transparency.
NOT RECOMMENDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

I gave them 3 stars because responsible but they are taken some portion of your income. Like for example yesterday I got 497 if I'm not mistaken, but no they take the $3 , I don't know what's that for .

I wanted to change my release date…

I wanted to change my release date after it had been marked as live about 2 weeks before the original date. I sent a message to the customer support and in about a couple of days everything was sorted for me. I have my new release date set. Thanks a lot to the team for their swift action.
