Placed an order for 20 discus. $500. Never received email confirmation. I called several times, texted, emailed and submitted requests through their contact form. Absolutely 0 response or fish. Either a scam or out of business.

I ordered 10 juvenile discus from discusguy.com. while there were some bumps in the road in regards to getting the fish it took about five weeks - once the fish were received they all were in great shape and colors look good.

Packaging of the fish for delivery was done very well.

Outside of it taking longer than expected to get the fish overall I'm happy with the product.

I ordered from this guy back on 12/26/2020. No fish yet. Not returning my calls. Not answering email.

Update: After posting on this site and his facebook page, and calling for 4 weeks, he decided I deserved only a portion of my money.

Robert, You have refunded a portion of my order, and this issue is closed. I put an update on here for everyone. This post is all 100% true.

I first ordered fish 4 months ago I chose to get the 2 inch fish. They have tripled in size, healthy, hearty fish, vibrant color easy keepers. I just ordered again. On my first order I got a follow up text asking if all was well. This merchant runs his business th way a business should be run. Great guy to deal with

This is my third order for a total of 14 discus, 8 cobalt blue and 6 golden yellow. All fish arrived in perfect condition, traveling from the east coast to California. I could not be happier with the quality, price and delivery. Thank you Discus guy

I ordered 13 Discus that were supposed to be 2". Most were about 1 3/4th - some smaller. A few were 2". I don't know...they look healthy and none died, but I am disappointed on the size. Also, they were not labeled as to what kind they were. Since mine were small, their colors aren't showing so it is impossible for me to confirm if he got the types I ordered correct. Shipping took about 3-4 weeks - which is okay. They quarantine them together before shipping - that I like. I think next time I order from anyone, I am not going to buy 2" Discus. Will just bite the bullet and buy bigger ones. It will be a year before they show their true colors. I do like that they have so many varieties and the prices are good. We'll see.

Update: Within minutes of my 2 star review, he told me my review was unfair. While it took days/weeks for a reply before/after I made an order, the reply was within an hour.

As I said, my fish appear healthy and colors are good for their size, but I think when you see his sizes, you need to think of mouth to tail fin and not the size of the body. I wish he had erred on the slightly too big side of things instead of slightly small.

Rob seems nice enough. Was very pleasant in a phone call. Probably just needs a couple tweeks to get more returning customers.

I don't say don't buy his products, but do be aware that they are smaller than you think/advertised. Maybe the bigger ones are different.

Well I am new to the discus family... Can I have to say I never thought I would buy fish and have them shipped in the mail lol. So I've ordered from other companies but the fish that I order from Rob are exceptional they're always alive when they arrive and they are beautiful. I've even spoken with him on the phone hes been very helpful with questions and I hand and the only time we had a problem was when UPS lost my package overnight and I had 5 fish 3 did not survive and Rob was very quick to replace them of course it was neither of our fault. I highly recommend ordering from them and I now have 4 discus tanks and I have a pair of breeders and just had my 1st set of fry. It is amazing to watch nature and this new hobby of mine is a joy and of course yes when they die I cry.

Healthy, great looking fish. I had ordered 8 of them, but only received 6 due to a mix up. Nonetheless, offered me a refund immediately or additional supplies. Great and timely customer service, with good products! Recommend

Ordered 6 Discus and I figured they would be tiny and no bigger than dime size. To my surprise they were bigger, quarter size and very healthy and strong. All lived and are thriving.

I am so happy to be sharing this review with you guys. I actually waited 1 month after receiving my fish before writing this review! I received my fish from DiscusGuy.com on Sept 4, 2019. I have not ordered live fish before online and this was my first time. I was really very nervous about the delivery, but when the fish arrived, I was beyond elated. The fish are beautiful, and I can’t wait to order some more. The fish acclimated quickly and have grown since I received them! They eat like pigs!

What a great Experience I had with these guys My discus are growing at a great pace.

Ordered three of his red discus. Got three small not red, and one of them doesn't look like he's going to make it till tomorrow.
Only reason for two stars is they arrived alive. Barely.

This is my first time I have order live fish online but this surpass my expectations the fish arrived all well packed everyone alive with very little stress and within an hour they were eating, they're so colorful for their size all I can say is that I was amazed with this order and the communication from Rob was excellentI would give more stars if they had the option

Ordered 8 fish, received 9; 2 DOA. No big deal really, shipment is very stressful for fish. Upon inspecting my fish 2 have disfigured eyes which is a sign of inbreeding. One is missing half of his fin on one side and completely gone on the other. The "bonus" fish is the sickest of the group. He has stress stripes, very misshapen head and still after 2 days has not relaxed his lower fins, he still isolates himself, definitely a depressed sick fish. All of my other Quasimodos have perked up but one (so far) definitely has worms

I ordered 6 discus back in July. First of all I received no notice of when they would ship. When I emailed after 2 weeks went by, they said they were behind due to the 4th. Then the fish show up on a 90 degree day as I am leaving to go to the dr. On a Tuesday. Again with no notice that they had even been shipped. The colors were wrong but they were alive, which didnt last. I had a very well established tank set up for them with appropriate tank mates. Perfect parameters. Not my first rodeo. But I should have trusted my lfs to get my discus. This was a total waste. One by one each died. Parasite meds didnt help. Unhealthy sick fish to start with. Went to my lfs. Had them hand pick 6 beautiful discus at 5 times the price but all are gorgeous, healthy and even breeding already. You get what you pay for!! Dont waste money here.

Don't do it!! This is long, but please read before getting ripped off! I ordered 8 Discus back in August and they were all sick upon arrival, all died 1 by 1 over 36 hours. I was offered to re-order with a 20 dollar discount and free fish. When I asked how many for the price I could not get an answer, so I just gave up. You got my money and I got screwed!!! Needless to say I did not order. After this I ordered 8 more from another store that I will spare for now. Turns out the 2nd round of discus came from the same exact address as discus guy shipped from. I confirmed with the owner that the discus did come from him, "partner companies" I was told. So the fish were healthy and still are, but they are very poor quality. All but 1 are stunted and mis-shapen, 1 is still the same size as it was 3 months ago. The super red turquoise are plain turquoise, not super reds. I still have the fish and pictures don't lie. I believe this is the reason for the buy 4 or 5 and get one free deal..poor quality. I haven't seen any other quality breeder give away discus, because they don't!! I tried over and over to get an answer of how many fish I would get for a 2nd 180 dollars and all I was told was "do you want me to send you an invoice or not?" I chose not! I'm sure the owner will say the opposite, but I have the chats to back it up, and a tank of worthless discus that should have been culled.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE, FALSE ADVERTISE DOESN'T GET ANY COLOR THAT I ORDER AND 2 OF THEM NEVER GROWTH, AND UNDER 2' REALLY DISAPPOINTED BUT I SHOULDA LISTEN TO OTHER BUYER REVIEW YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Rob Did not follow any instructions via email and completely ignored multiple requests. He then ignored my cancel request and shipped product to me anyway. There is a reason you do not see pictures of the food he sells because it comes in the smallest of jars you can imagine for the price. This guy is a total con artist and just stopped replying to my emails.

Updated 10/4/18 - He also sent me sick fish that I have been treating and hopefully saving. I bought fish from elsewhere same exact conditions and they were all great. I would truly avoid this guy at all cost.

Excellent fish quality. Ordering was seamless and fish arrived the following day. Pricing was reasonable and follow up by the owner was a nice touch.

I won an auction for 1 wild green Discus, They offered me a 2nd for the same price! They were also on top of things when it came to shipping. They told me to call the local UPS hub and pick them up 1st thing in the morning. Luckily I did. Someone at UPS had dropped the box. A woman at the hub noticed and opened it. They got another bag and placed both fish together and added a bottle water. One of the bags had split open and leaked out. It was touch and go but Robert e-mailed me every few hours giving me advise on what to do. this was my 2nd order from Discusguy and I haven't been disappointed at all!
