DILLARD'S is horrible!

DILLARD'S is horrible!! They have horrible policies, horrible management, and they do not value their customers. They literally steal from their customers! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU WON'T EITHER! I purchased a formal dress from a clearance rack. It looked good under the dim lighting in the store. A few weeks later when I tried it on at home I could see stains all over the entire dress, so bad that it could not be worn. They absolutely refused to give me a refund or exchange stating that they have a 3- day return policy on clearance items, even though their website states that those return limitations do not apply to merchandise that is damaged. The store manager in Colorado Springs is mean. She accused me of putting the tags back on the dress in the wrong location as if I would have damaged it myself and then returned it. She and her associates ganged up on me and were threatening me, who was the customer! I'm a grandmother and it was a bit scary to me. Why does society not speak up these days, but instead continue to support businesses like that, as if the customer is bad for asking for a refund or complaining about a product they paid money for that they can't use because it's damaged or defective; like it's just ok to be taken advantage of! I had other issues with them not honoring returns in the past but didn't learn my lesson until now.

I bought a $79 Honeylove bra from…

I bought a $79 Honeylove bra from Dillards in Tucson (Park Place) while on vacation and wore it on and off for two weeks. It completely stretched and does not fit anymore. I called the store and they refused to make it right saying that I wore the item. Of course I wore it. They told me to call Honeylove, and they won't do anything about it because I bought it at Dillards. Dillards is not what they used to be. They sell shoddy clothing and do not help customers with defective items. Not a customer anymore.

Never received my package 📦

I will never buy or order from this store again. I never received my order and im still paying for it. They also use fedex. I don't know if it was the store or fedex that stole my package.

Terrible online customer service and online order services. I am done buying from them. They mail you items are reduced and then won’t price match and mail used looking items. And now they have blocked my online account. Just cancelled my dillards card…they can kiss it!

Defective Ted Baker bag + dismissive…

Defective Ted Baker bag + dismissive customer service
I purchased a Ted Baker handbag at Dillard’s in Las Vegas before Christmas and discovered a clear manufacturing defect after only a few short uses — about two inches of trim were never sewn into the seam. When I contacted Dillard’s customer‑service chatbot, I was dismissed immediately because the purchase was “before Christmas,” even though this was obviously a quality‑control issue.
This isn’t my first problem with Dillard’s policies. Last year I was unable to return children’s dresses because their “3‑day return window” includes the day of purchase, making evening and holiday shopping practically impossible.
For context, I’ve worked in retail management, I’m a clothing designer, and I was a registered secret shopper in Nevada. I know what a manufacturing defect looks like, and I know what reasonable customer service should be. Dillard’s failed on both counts.
After repeated issues and financial loss, my husband and I will be closing our account again. Dillard’s policies and customer‑service structure do not support customers or the brands they carry.

Poor Support from Dillard’s

Poor Support from Dillard’s on a Defective Seiko Watch
I purchased a Seiko automatic watch from Dillard’s on January 4th, and after just a little over two months of normal daily wear, the watch began losing 10–15 seconds per day. I wear it all day and only remove it to shower, so it receives more than enough wrist movement to stay properly wound.
When I went back to Dillard’s for help, I didn’t receive any meaningful support or guidance. Instead, I was left to deal with the issue on my own. Seiko later told me I should “shake the watch 30 times every morning” to make it keep accurate time — which is not an acceptable solution for a new watch.
I expected better customer service from Dillard’s. A watch this new should not be losing time, and customers should not be left without proper assistance when a product is clearly defective. Very disappointing experience.

Looking for men's slacks that look good without dry cleaning

We were at Dillard's at The Summit shopping for men's dress pants. We met Quan D. Bui in the men's section. He worked above and beyond to find slacks that fit my husband's taste and size and looked good without dry cleaning. When we wanted a pair in navy, he ordered it to arrive back home in Washington state. I recommend him without hesitation.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Things that say they can be returned were
Sent back to me. They said it was outside return window but they also said it was received 3 weeks after I sent it. They wouldn’t even honor a price adjustment since I was stuck with boots that don’t fit and are now on sale. The representative got off on being rude with zero respect for me. I’ll never shop there again online or otherwise.

Bought L L Bean robe from Dillard’s

Bought L L Bean robe from Dillard’s. Have purchased it from L L Bean many times. After one wash the shabby fabric was pilling. Can not wear as shedding on everything. Spoke to both stores in customer service. Neither would help. Pretty disgusting.

HORRIBLE "high end" department store

For a high end department store, their online buy/return policies are ridiculous! I ordered a formal gown online because I don't live close to an actual location. They felt the need to charge me $9.95 in shipping! Well, the dress didn't work out so I promptly returned and and they deducted another $9.95 return fee! What? So I paid an extra $20? For what? Terrible, I will NEVER order from this company again! I will stick with Macy's!

If I could give this store zero stars

If I could give this store zero stars, I would — but unfortunately, one star is the lowest option.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Dillard’s in Mesquite. I returned clothing items with the tags still attached, and the staff claimed I had removed them. They then refused the return, saying the items showed “wear and tear,” which was completely untrue. The clothes were expensive and in the same condition as when I purchased them.

What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism and customer service. The manager was unhelpful and unwilling to offer any solution — not even store credit. There was no effort to resolve the issue or treat me with courtesy.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend shopping at this location.

Customer service cusses at you!

Customer service cusses at you!! Some old woman at customer service refused my return for absolutely no reason, I had my receipt and I was within 30 days, and when I questioned her about it and told her that it was just bad customer service and walked away, she called me a “b..ch, f…. b..ch”, which then resulted in a verbal altercation! I don’t care how difficult or frustrating I get, I’m not in customer service, and I don’t represent a company, this kind of behavior towards customers should never be acceptable or allowed, it’s appalling!!

I purchased a dress from Dillard’s…

I purchased a dress from Dillard’s months in advance for my daughter’s wedding — as most mothers do for such an important occasion. I tried it on three separate times leading up to the event to be sure it was still the right choice. Each time, the zipper would catch slightly at the waist seam (which can be typical), but it moved past the seam and zipped fully without issue. The dress fit perfectly.

However, about an hour before the wedding, the zipper began separating from the bottom and worked its way all the way up. I had no choice but to safety-pin the dress together, leaving my side partially exposed during the ceremony.

When I contacted Dillard’s, I was immediately told nothing could be done. This experience deeply impacted my only daughter’s wedding day — a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. My husband and daughter both felt my humiliation and disappointment, which cast a shadow over what should have been a joyful day.

This was not an inexpensive purchase. I am now out $369 and left with the memory of a ruined moment. I was also disappointed by the lack of compassion shown by customer service.

Dillard’s, you should be better than this.

Please please don't shop at this store

Please please don't shop at this store. Their customers service on chat and phone is just horrible. The representatives are condescending and very unhelpful. They don't try to resolve any problems, and frankly have attitudes. I have had to call multiple times and everytime is the same. I get off feeling angry and frustrated. I will never ever shop there again.

Creed Quality Issues

I have been a long-time Creed customer and this was my fifth bottle. I purchased a 75ml bottle of Acqua Fiorentina from Dillard’s (an authorized retailer) in December 2024. The fragrance was lightly used and properly stored.

Over time, it developed a strong, unpleasant celery-like odor that makes it completely unwearable. Dillard’s compared my bottle side-by-side with a new unit in store and confirmed there was a clear difference in scent.

When I contacted Creed directly and provided the lot number for review, I was informed that because the item was purchased through an external retailer, they could not take any further action.

At this price point, I expected the brand to stand behind the stability and integrity of its products — especially when purchased through an authorized partner. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Very disappointing outcome for a luxury fragrance house.

"Shipped"- Not Shipped

Ordered Feb 7. Notified "shipped" on Feb 9. USPS Tracking shows still waiting for package on Feb 12. After attempting to contact customer service to ask why they mark as shipped, but dont hand over to carrier, I was told it shows shipped and up to USPS to update. I said they cant update if they dont have it. Customer service agent immediately ended chat.

I'm Done with Dillard's

I have shopped here since the name was Stix Bear & Fuller.
I even worked here once. Now I'm totally done with this store! Im erasing it from my memory. The return r even just an exchange policy is not good. I'm not one for returning anyway. But, I purchased some boots that when I got home I tried to wear them 5 days later they were to narrow. I wanted to exchange for a different size. They did have the size. But, I didn't know their return policy on shoes on sale. It's all good though. Absolutely not another dollar spent in that store!!!
