Amazing service
I needed to reconnect with my account to upgrade with a discount. Sent email on Easter Friday - reply came next day resolving issue. I was hoping for a response on Tuesday after easter.

The support delivered by the Digital Volcano Software support team is exceptional. I had a billing issue which they addressed for me which resulted in a massively positive outcome overnight - the only delay was caused by me living in South Africa and thus a different timezone. Well done guys keep up the great work!!!!

I wrote Support with some basic questions about how some features in Duplicate Cleaner Pro 5 worked. By the next day, I had very good answers to my questions in my email inbox. That is so helpful to a new user.
I am very impressed with Duplicate Cleaner Pro! It is a fantastic product. There were a few things that I needed more explanation for than was in the online help manual, and Digital Volcano Support provided excellent help!

Excellent ways to remove duplicate files and so easy to use!

Prompt reply, straightforward response, and a distinctly human tone that made me feel heard rather than automated. I may have already had a workaround to my issue, but they still offered to look into adding a solution to my problem in a future update.

The support was very fast. I no longer had access to the email address I used to order the previous version, and I was able to easily obtain a discount voucher for the new version.

I've used DuplicateCleaner Pro for several years, and LOVE it (first 4, then upgraded to 5). It sounds/looks (UI) a little cheap/simple (no offense!), but is incredibly powerful and fast. Once you get to know it, it does very complex, sophisticated things, without being complicated (ie it all makes sense when you get there - can't imagine it being any different). Compare different scaled/bitrate/resolution/compressed images? BINGO! Same with music - I have cleaned up so many duplicate versions of the same image and music files. Oh, and simple file name/size/attribute duplicate search? I just scanned several TERABYTES in 2 minutes (FIRST scan) - REALLY (insert mind blown emoji here). You can even make a "virtual scan" of a drive, so that you can compare against it later/elsewhere (backed up offline? Another machine at home? etc.) - just discovered this, and could have used SO many times while traveling (and downloaded the same file AGAIN that I have at home). Note: I have not needed support, so I can't speak to that, but I can say they've been upgrading the same version 5 for like 5 years, free - not like some apps who release a new version every year and charge for the upgrade. HIGHLY recommended and worth it.

My file-loss paranoia and inexpensive storage has created my habit of saving multiple copies of perceived important files. Duplicate Cleaner coupled with CSV export has many options to enable finding files for archival or deletion.

Really quick feedback over a weekend regarding a problem I was having signing up for a registered version. Still learning how to use it because it is so powerful, but if you look at the manual for whatever you are trying to achieve, all the answers have been there for me so far.

I have no idea what these reviews are talking about when it comes to support because this company does not respond to any inquires on their forum. I bought the program which appears to be a powerful program but there are no tutorials, help videos nor any support on their forum. If I could, I would give zero stars because I can't use the program because the documentation is so poor.

Absolutely exceptional! It's the best Duplicate Files finder app I've tried (and I've tried many), including Documents, Images, Videos, Audios files.
I tried the trial version (free) but quickly switched to the Pro version (with more and advanced features).
Isn't possible to describe, here, all the functionalities characteristic of this app (it would be a "testament"), regarding
1) "Scanning Location" and its flexibility,
2) "Search Criteria", with several comparison criteria, with Filters and "Inclusions and Exclusions" of file types
3) Comparing identical files using their hashes attributes
4) Comparison of degrees of similarity by RAW (perhaps the weakest point of the App, needing to be improved!)
5) Comparison of degrees of similarity with algorithms to Image, Video and Audio files.
6) "Results Selection Criteria" with numerous filtering criteria, even including a "wizard"...
There's nothing we can think of that we "would like or need to have", in terms of features and abilities, that we can't find in this app!
Without a doubt, this app is among the best of all time! Absolutely ESSENTIAL!

NOTE: Great support, fast, technically correct... and open to suggestions.

The software is mostly accurate so it is always a good practice to doublecheck all of the results with a thumbnail view. I have only used this program for finding video dupes but I expect that it performs excellently with other formats. Overall this is a useful program and now let me talk about customer service. It is excellent. You will not find better so if you have an issue you can be assured that your E-mail will be answered and addressed very quickly. Overall I am very happy with the software.
