Absolute Con
Got charged £3.20 for a connection on a call that was advertised as free. The call didn't even connect it claimed I hadn't put in the correct international dial code which is rubbish as it worked elsewhere.
DTS worked great, but they are now PlanetTalk
I used DialToSave for a few years. It was 0.5p per minute to call the United States. I would charge up by setting them a text, and then I would call an access number.
They have now switched to be PlanetsTalk. You have to charge up using their app, which is not compatible with my phone. And they are now charging 1p per minute to call the United States.

Dial to Save actually does save me a heap of money !
With family and colleagues dotted around the planet, calls via my mobile service provider can be scarily expensive; even now, when many tariffs have been reduced either by competition or EU intervention. I've used Dial to Save for several years, mainly for mobile calls to Europe, the Former Soviet Union and the Far East. Calls are easy to make, generally glitch free and really cheap; £5 credit lasts a gratifyingly long time. With good reason I've recommended this company to many contacts. Well done and thank you, Dial to Save !
Good Service
The site is easy to use
easy to top-up and check your history.
I have got prompt response from the customer service team for any queries and issues
A very good service
Talk about no fuss! A simple text and your account is credited as per your request. I really like the service provided by Dial to Save and recommend it to anyone who needs to make calls abroad on a regular basis. I use it all the time to keep in touch with friends and family in Brazil. The calls are of good quality and because the access number is local, I can make calls from mobile phone anywhere in the UK!!!!
EXTREMELY BAD & RUDE CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM.
I HAD USE MOBILE APP TO DO TOPUP, IN WHICH CHARGES WHERE NOT CLEARLY DESCRIBED. VERY EXPENSIVE COMPARE TO LYCATALK OR LYCA MOBILE.
NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEY WERE TOO RUDE TO ANSWER ANY QUERIES. WATCH OUT NEXT TIME. WASTED MY MONEY ON THIS SILLY THING. ALSO ANOTHER DOWNSIDE IS TOPUP LAST ONLY 3 MONTHS.
Fantastic no-fuss service for international calls!
My mother lives in Eastern Europe. Her country is not included in our landline package so an alternative service was needed. DialToSave fills this void perfectly, and the rate also covers a long list of other countries, not just Estonia. It is very cheap and easy to use, I've got the code on speed dial. The rates are so good and it's really convenient to be able to call both from my mobile phone and from the landline. I top up via Paypal, and that is also instantaneous, virtually. The moment I click 'buy now', the DialToSave account is topped up. Finally, I like the no-fuss voice when I dial the access code, no extra information to irritate you, just straightforward, quick and easy. THANK YOU!
Very good service!
Happy with the service, but rates to Latvia(mobile) could be better!! By the way customer service very helpful!!!
Good service
I have used this company for 3 years so my wife can keep in touch with her mother and family in Romania never had a problem.
Always easy to top up using PayPal which keeps me at ease with using Internet and money, you can add other numbers no problem.
Customer service a good always explain things in easy to understand way, value for money is great, I would recommend this company to anyone calling abroad.
Many thanks John klyen
owed money
they no longer support the number i was using but you can top up to use it, but i cannot use pin on the number they now support so i have lost my money, i got in touch with them but no help.
would not use again beware
Good service
I have used Dial to Save for 2/3 years to contact the Republic of Ireland from the UK. good prices.
Convenient, works well, good rates apart from mobile in some countries
With one access number, you can call any country and you can top up your account with Paypal. Most landline rates are good as are the per call connection charges are low as well. Quality on most calls is good - good enough for business calls. Calling mobiles can be much more expensive - you need to check the call rate for each country first. So far, this is the best overall international direct dial (IDD) I have found in the UK.
Convenient service, though expensive
It is pretty easy to add funds, most calls are clear.
I call australia a lot and find the charges for mobile phones is extremely high in comparison to calling mobile phones in USA and India for example.
I use the service because the convenience it offers. I downloaded their app from the app shop and can use that directly to call contacts on the phone. It's very simple and no codes to remember
NOT HAPPY....RATES ARE DIFFERENT TO WHAT ADVERTISED
YOU MAKE A CALL IT TELLS YOU HAVE E.G 45 MIN. YOU LL BE LUCKY TO GET 20 MIN OF TALK OUT OF IT. BEWARE OF CONNECTION CHARGES TOO.
THEY DID REMBURSED ME WITH £3 AFTER COMPLAINING. EVEN THAT VANISHED VERY QUICK.
DOUBLE CHECK THE RATES TO YOUR DESTINATION PRIOR TO BUYING.
not very good and cheeky as well
Unfortunately I think is the last time I am using it...connection charge? And you'd be lucky to get through. Also, 90 days to use it, or you loose it. There are simcards that you can use for half the price, half the hassle (dial direct), no connection charge and better quality.... I think this is a no brainer. Good bye!
Only 'fair'
Used this app briefly but it seems to be temperamental and troublesome when phoning family in Kenya, therefore now using Talk Home
Excellent value for money
It worked very well before, but now that I have the app installed on my Android is even better.
My favourite way to call abroad
Cheap, reliable and even easier to access with my iPhone app... My mum just said we never talked this much! Absolute saviour, strongly recommended.
Did not use service for 3 months, and they wiped out my credit! Daylight Robbery!
Copy of email I sent to DialToSave:
I have / had a problem with my account, bot when I tried to contact yourselves, I found you had removed your phone number from your website.
I had a credit of about £30 still remaining on my account.
I hadn't used your service for about 3 months.
When I went to make a call, Ithe message came on to say I had no credit.
It appears since you changed your website, you wiped off all my existing credit.
This is daylight robbery!
I was forced to top up my account again.
Suffice to say I topped up by the minimum amount, thereby setting a lower limit to how much money you can steal from me.
