Horrible experience
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the unfriendliness and unprofessional approach regarding my shipment.
My shipment has been damaged and the product is not sellable.
No help or even excuses has been made by DHL. These things can happen, but a human-like response would be appreciated.
Very unhappy with the way this entire process has been, it's filled with complications, and I am extremely unhappy with how it has been handled.
As a result of this experience, I will never use this service again from DHL. Furthermore, I intend to write an honest and negative review specifically regarding the person who has been handling this matter: Valeria Marraffino.
Horrible service, No customer service, bad responses, 2 pallets got sent in 2 shipments, no confirmation call or time. Just be there from 8 am to 6 pm.
All in all. I learned my lesson to NEVER do business with DHL Freight again. There are so many other, better options out there.
Misleading and poor service
DX Freight claimed they attempted delivery and that no one was home. This was not true. I was at home all day, and my CCTV confirms no delivery attempt was made.
Marking a delivery as “attempted” when no one turned up is misleading and unacceptable. Very poor experience. I would not recommend DX Freight.

The absolute worst. They cancelled the time they were supposed to deliver and tge shipment is just sitting in their warehouse. I have called several times, they check that the item is there but then never call again to arrange delivery. I'll see if they deliver after 2 months.
Worst experience ever with a professional courier.
My shipment is over five weeks late. Despite having filed seven formal complaints to date, I have never received any response or been contacted by DHL.
The shipment consisted of approximately 500 boxes intended for customer product packaging. Due to this prolonged delay, the project had to be cancelled, resulting in a direct financial loss equal to the full cost of the packaging materials.
This situation represents a serious service failure. I am therefore requesting a full refund and a formal explanation regarding the handling of this shipment and the lack of response to my previous complaints.
Worst of the bigger freight companies
Worst of the bigger freight companies. Did not send any notification about the delivery so it failed as I was not home, then they text me to come pick it up at their terminal in the middle of no where, so I do that next day but guess what? Its not there, have not arrived yet... so no communication about the delivery and then misleading communication about the pick up.
So even though I paid a high price for the freight I now have to twice drive a long distance and the customer service is awful. Use PostNord instead never use DHL.

Ordered a fridge on Nov 17 with Price1.it. They choose to ship it with DHL freight. Shipment started at Dec 5th in Germany but got stuck on Dec 12th in Genova. No more updates.
After a lot of pressure they would deliver Dec 30th. But guess what: no delivery, no communication. 26 days I now wait for my order!
Avoid DHL freight amd any company that chooses them as their carrier.

Sounds like our experience is similar to most. Paid almost 1,000 Euros for a shipment from Sweden to the UK. So far it's delayed by two weeks because they never sent my completed customs paperwork to their customs department and didn't look into it when I contacted them twice to ask what the delay was.
20th November - DHL collected, estimated 4th December delivery
24th November - DHL request I complete customs paperwork. I return it within two hours.
25th November - DHL want the paperwork revised. I return it within one hour.
28th November - I ask DHL why it is still in customs according to tracking. They say customs hasn't cleared it and there's nothing more to do.
1st December - still no movement. I ask DHL what's happening. They say customs hasn't cleared it and there's nothing more to do.
5th December - I give up and contact Gerlach UK (the customs dept owned by DHL). They say they never received the paperwork from DHL so I send it directly to them.
8th December - DHL confirm Gerlach have approved the shipment to finally leave Sweden (two weeks sat in customs for no reason when I completed the paperwork within two hours!)
11th December - no tracking update. Asked DHL what is happening and told perhaps it will be delivered on 16th December, but no guarantees. If the delay is due to their mistake, why are they not prioritising my delivery? Presumably because every shipment they care for is also delayed. I am beyond disappointed that this mistake wasn't picked up on the two occasions when I contacted DHL to ask them to look into it. I run a small business and having a vast amount of stock stuck in a customs warehouse for weeks on end is costing me a fortune. I'm not a huge corporate entity like DHL and I can't afford for these errors to happen. They need to sort out their service and listen to their customers when they request that they look into things.

Worst experience in my life. For reference bought 2 items from same store, 1 was sent with DPD one with DHL.
DPD; got delivered 3 days from day order was made to my adress.
DHL; after 9 days my order was made, they've offically moved item for around 15% of way from warehouse to my home. They refuse to give ANY kind of actual info, the girl is refusing to help me. When i call another time its same girl from croatia. There is no support for my own country.
First they forgot to pickup my order for 2 work days, then order comes to next terminal and is stuck there for 3 work days not being processed.
Absolute worst company, if you ever read this and its a matter of few bucks, always, ALWAYS chose something else. If you have option to manually walk with a package to other part of world, i think you gonna be there faster.
What a shitty company
What a shitty company. On Friday morning, my delivery was supposed to be loaded as ‘out for delivery’ and delivered between 11:00 and 15:00. At 15:00 I called, only to be casually told that it hadn’t been loaded after all. So I waited for nothing. The employee promised me it would be delivered on Monday.
On Monday morning I called again. Customer service told me they didn’t see any delivery and that I should contact my supplier. But I made arrangements with them on Friday... They just kept repeating themselves and then hung up on me.
If the only task of the customer service staff is to say “you need to contact your supplier,” they might as well be replaced by a recording or AI. They seem to forget that, as the buyer, I’m ultimately the one paying them.
If you’re a shipper, I suggest you really think twice before doing business with this company. They pile lie upon lie and can’t even communicate. And for buyers whose suppliers use DHL Freight: demand they switch to a different carrier as soon as possible.

I was receiving a package from Germany…
I was receiving a package from Germany to Italy. Tracking went well up to last storage place in Florence, then package was stuck there for 10 days with following tracking message: "Shipment in warehouse - Awaiting delivery appointment". This was the worst shipping experience ever. There is only an automatic voice mechanism as customer service that is useless. It is impossible to talk to anybody and they don't answer to any message sent to customer service. The warehouse in Florence is handled by an italian company (FRESCHI & SCHIAVONI S.R.L.), they suck too. Finally, after almost losing any hope of delivery, they called and set a delivery appointment. The entire delivery took 20 days instead of 10. Best of all, when I complained to the delivery guy on day of deliver, he said:"I am happy if there are less bikes to deliver". My wish is that they go bankrupt with this horrible service. In fact, I am surprised they are still on business. Never ever again with them!

Terrible delivery ever. They call when they already are arrived with the delivery. I knew they probably would come that day but they could have called an hour before they arrived. Then I could arrange something. I arranged my neighbor did arrive but the man had already gone again. He did not want to wait a minute.

Ordered a new bicycle online as mine got stolen in Italy, new bike is stuck in the depot in Rome for over a week now and nobody can tell me when it will be delivered.
Neither Bike24 (where I bought it) nor DHLfreight can give me info.
Worst service I ever had, I mean how the F do you lose a box with the size of a XL bicycle that is strapped on a pallet!?
Complete lack of control over cargo
We hired DHL Freight through Eurosender, for a shipment from Hamburg to Lisbon, 3 boxes. They really messed up, the tracking is not being updated, the shipment that should have taken 5 business days has taken 14 days already (and counting). I have tracking devices inside each box, which allowed me to track and inform them where the boxes were, since they were not scanning.
For 1 week it arrived in the last DHL Freight location near Lisbon, but they say they can't deliver yet because of "an unsolved IT issue".
Eurosender has been pressing them, but still haven't received.
Having used DHL Express many times without any issue, I was badly impressed by their lack of professionalism and control. I will never use their services anymore.
My Yamaha piano was stuck in DHL Koln
My Yamaha piano was stuck in DHL Koln, Germany for 10 days before it was actually shipped to the UK. I had no response from them for over a week and then eventually they said it would be loaded to go the UK…after 10 days of it just sitting there! It’s not even Christmas yet - start of November!
I am hoping to receive it next week but I have no trust in their service!

Did not show up
Booked a shipping with DHL airfreight. Got a confirmation email with booking number, then never showed up. Phone numbers are non existent. Worst service of my life.
