A forced update by Devialet broke one of my speaker. The company won’t anything about it
I bought 2 phantoms back in 2016, so one could say I’m one of the early adopters of the product.
In summer 2024 I was forced to update the app / software of the speakers, which resulted in one not working at all.
After a couple of months of discussions with the after sale service, they basically confirmed that 1/ it was indeed devialet’s fault that one of the €2k speaker wasn’t working anymore, 2/ they would only replace it if i was willing to pay €1k, which is crazy to me

A Standout Repair Experience as Innovative as its Products!!
I appreciated the prompt and clear process that DEVIALET has developed for its products’ repairs, a process that by its very nature, requires a series of steps and the involvement & collaboration of the customer. Firstly, the ability to send photos and a video recording of the product, highlighting the inoperative or damaged areas is extremely useful and allows an accurate quote to be provided. In fact, it wasn’t until I filmed a longer video that the true nature of the damage and lack of function became apparent. I was initially surprised that the product had to be returned to France for repairs but given the unique nature of the Phantom, it was not surprising that the back to base solution had been chosen as the simplest course of action for the company to take. The logistics arrangements worked very well – I only wish that the UPS centre was closer to home but once there, everything went very smoothly. DEVIALET provided the packaging and all necessary documentation and labels and the round trip to France and back to Australia was provided free of charge. This mitigated the expense of the repair, which given the extensive amount of damage that occurred when my 14kg speaker fell 60cm onto a hard surface, was reasonable. Repair turnaround time was shorter than I expected and the quality of the repair appears to be excellent. Overall, it has been a pleasure to deal with DEVIALET and I have been especially impressed with the communication and their involvement of the Customer at every step of the process. This is not a company that one has to chase for every bit of information and that is much appreciated.
Devialet Mania pool party
Pros: Nothing similar like Devialet Mania. Since i got it everyone dances @ my barbecues & pool parties. Everyone asks how this tiny thing delivering that unstoppable, deep & powerful sound, especially outside, is just wizardry to me.
Cons:
1. I played a deep bass test song and the bass speakers just gave up working until i played something else. Feels like a decoder problem.
2. Their software forgets the device often. Feels like their head of software integration/decoding/firmware is someone's retarded uncle, they just can't get rid of.

Great email support, but the software of iOS app/speakers needs to be improved since many times it doesn't find the speakers and it's tricky to install and pair Phantom 1s.

Love the service from Devialet. They are so personable and helpful … Shanna was fantastic and helped me with every question I had.
It’s quite rare to get this high quality service from such a high end company … and I know of what I speak as I’ve had miserable service from other so called high end audio companies but I’ve never had an issue with Devialet and I’ve been with them for over 10 years.
And without a doubt , Shanna is one of the best I’ve dealt with.

Devialet Dione Swap
Devialet customer service is fantastic. I have multiple of their products and from the multiple times i contacted them I had got all my problems solve from simple questions about specs and how to connect. To repairs, parts and unit swap. They are high end product's and after listing to it I had not problems with the price. Look great, sound excellent and customer support is with dedication. My latest problem was with my Dione. Customer service offer a swap for a reasonable price. I got the unit today and everything is working great! Everything went smooth as it can get. JAKE was the customer service representative and he handled the communication, updates and the transaction with excellence. Brief, concise and with clear solutions to my problems. I definitely recommend Devialet products to my friends and family.

Nice customer service
I contacted customer service without much hope, but Peter was very responsive and efficient and helped me to do a factory reboot of my old phantom speaker. Now good as new !
