No shoes, no refund, no communication

Ordered and paid for some out-of-stock shoes on 1 August 2020, almost four weeks ago. I have not received the shoes nor any communication regarding them. No-one answers the customer service line, they simply tell you to email - and I have not had a response to my email. Deichmann, if you read this please can you look into it, my order no is below.

NO REFUND of purchase THEY Cancelled!

NO REFUND of purchase THEY Cancelled!! I ordered a pair of Nike trainers in the Sheffield Store as they had insufficient stock, they ordered online on my behalf. A payment was taken from my Credit Card the day the purchase was made. The following day I received a text message, stating they couldn’t fulfil my order and to contact customer services. I rang and was advised they couldn’t refund back on to the credit card I paid with, as they didn’t have the facility?!?! And it could be credited in to my bank account instead. I agreed and they stated it could take up to 5 days. 7 days later, no refund. I tried contacting customer services for 2 daya, no answer. I then contacted the Sheffield store, who offered to contact them on my behalf. The response I got back from the store from a Nicola in Customer services, ‘they had issues with their systems and it would be up to a further 5 days for this to be received‘ Not good enough!! No correspondence from Customer Services to state they had ‘issues’ or any formal apology. I had to chase this myself and await a refund for something they couldn’t even provide. I suggest this is looked in to and a refund given speedily or formal action will be taken.

Bad staff attitude

I had visited the deichmann store at Ilford exchange on the evening of 22/08/2020 between 4.00-6.00pm. Store 0057. VAT registration number GB896104014
The store was very busy and I want to make a strong written complaint about 2 female floor attendants at your store. Both white one in a brown blazer and the other in a white T shirt.I logged a verbal complaint with the manager at the store as well.
They were rude,aggressive,ill mannered to say the least.
As it is return to school ,it was a busy time, the first time I approached one of them was when I could not find a pair of the size I was looking for, I got a response saying that it’s old stock and there might be just 1 shoe, then she came to the area we were trying out shoes and very abruptly told me that there were in the box, I had to point out to her that they were a different make , after which she shrugged and walked off, I let it go and started looking for shoes myself, on an other occasion I asked the other attendant about a size, on which she started lecturing on how I’ll mannered people are and how they are leaving boxes unattended, I felt uncomfortable speaking to her and left to look for the shoe myself.
After sometime , she comes over to where we are starts mouthing off that we have tried enough shoes and we can’t try anymore??.
After some ti,e when I went to the children’s section, the two of the were gesticulating and speaking in a foreign language which was obviously about me, and making monkey faces towards each other, this made me very uncomfortable and then one of them has the audacity to tell me that I should ask the, for help instead of taking shoes myself, I told her that she is rude and I would not like to talk of either of them and walked away from there.
My questions are:
1)If it was a busy day why were there not enough attendants to cater to people. Because of which people were looking for the shoes themselves which obviously led to a lot of mess, not the customers fault!!
2)Who gives the attendant the right to call customers ill mannered and not having any sense( you can ask other customers on that day) they were very verbal about how bad people are and that they have no sense
3) I was not aware that there is a limit to the number of shoes you can try out at one time , I have 2 young children aged 8 and 4 and that takes time to choose the right fit and style especially school shoes. So how could she come up to me and tell me that I cannot try out anymore shoes.
4) I work in the NHS and have met with many people over the last 5 yrs from different walks of life, but have never come across such ignorant,arrogant people who think that they can call people names whenever and however they want.
I went there to buy shoes for children, I will not tolerate being abused by staff and stand around listening to some staff shouting out at me and calling me ill mannered.
Im sorry but please don’t be under any assumption that you are doing some charity, we pay money for the services in your shop, and if your staff is not up to their game then it is their fault not the customers.
I have never been so embarrassed in my life and I demand an explanation about the behaviour of the staff and want to know how you can justify the attendants calling people names and shrugging off from doing the job they are paid to do,
I expect a response to my complaint as soon as possible and will not hesitate to take this further is my complaint is not acknowledged.

Terrible quality

Terrible quality - gone bad in 4 weeks - looks nice but see underneath ab awful so quickly

Avoid this brand Deichmann at all costs

Must be made in a sweat shop but worse than that ab no quality at all - £30 wasted

NO REFUNDS RECEIVED

I have sent my sketchers back for full refunds 10 days ago, they received the item, I have not received any refunds. They do not answer phone calls nor reply to emails. I AM VERY UNHAPPY THAT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUNDS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A BIG COMPANY LIKE DEICHMANN TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. I AM GOING TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION IF I DON'T RECEIVE ANY REFUNDS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK, THAT ALL!

Poor service and poor attitude

Poor service and poor attitude. Ordered size 11 crocs too big so returned. Ordered size 10 which came in box labelled size 10 tags on crocs said 10 but the crocs were size 11 again. Ordered again size 10 which came labelled 10 but crocs were 11 again. Complained as now 3 return postage paid to be told they are American sizes. How can size 10 & 11 be same size????.Deichman need to realise we live in England hence order is now cancelled. Pathetic

I love the items from this store

I love the items from this store. If I need a new pair of shoes, Deichmann is where I go. Plenty of choice and easy to try shoes on. Sometimes the quality is questionable but to be expected if I pick the cheapest pair. Overall I would recommend this shop and will continue to shop here myself.

Went to the Basildon Branch this…

Went to the Basildon Branch this morning. Lots of People trying on shoes with bare feet. No signage advising socks etc. Boxes and shoes were being placed back on shelves by customers. Quickest way to spread coronavirus, hot sweaty feet with no socks, you will have staff effected soon and become a hotspot. Come on!! Gets some signage up and instruct your staff to implement the safety rules. I wont be buying any shoes for sure, value my health.

Their customer service is brilliant , phone answered with no waiting , problem sorted within seconds, polite friendly and with a " no your not stupid " attitude. Fast cheap delivery in covid times, what a blessing this company is, why cant others be the same?!

Never have my size and query about lockdown returns

I have a review and a question that I cannot get an answer to. I try to shop in Deichmann because the boots and shoes look good and are reasonably priced but whenever I go into store they never have size 7 or 8 in stock. They always say you can order online but often can’t get them there either. I am also reluctant to order online because I have difficult feet. I have raised this with various members of staff who say that they only have one or two pairs of size 8 because they don’t sell many - well they won’t if they don’t have them. The only time that I have seen lots of 7 and 8’s is when the new Ashford store opened. I have tried Folkestone, Ashford and Canterbury at different times. I did have to return a pair of suede boots that had collapsed inside to Canterbury and the manager was very helpful.

I bought some boots on 9 March because I was a bit desperate but when I got them home they are a bit big so I was going to return them however then Coronavirus started and I have been shielding. I am worried that I will not be able to return them when I am able to go out again because it will be nearly four months. Can I return them by post? I can’t afford to lose £29.99.

Do not shop at Deichmann shoes

Bought a pair of Memphis One sports shoes in the last year. The lasting heel support at the back of the shoes started to disintegrate and dig into my skin.

I reported this to customer service but they refused to exchange or refund as I had not kept the receipt.

This is strange because in their stores they state boldly that if a customer is dissatisfied in any way that they will either refund or exchange with no quibble.

I wrote to the CEO - no reply.

I wrote to another senior board member who referred me to customer service and they emailed me to say there was nothing they could do - so much for their sales patter.

Clare sorted everything with a friendly and efficient manner.

I have been buying the same slip on trainers for a good few years, sometimes in a store and other times online without problems.
Bought a pair in the Chester shop but when I got them home they were slightly different styles and the soles were completely different.
Perhaps I should have inspected them in store or perhaps the assistant should have?
Anyway tried their customer helpline, and I was informed within thirty seconds that the line was busy and should email ( a lot of their problems could be resolved if this message was slower and clearer). I tried emailing but my computer said it had been unsuccessful so at 4.15p.m. on a Friday , I tried the helpline again and it was immediately answered by Clare.
My e-mail had got through and she had already read it. She was so friendly and helpful, offering me a refund or replacement pair. I chose the replacement,Clare sent me a prepaid address slip,I sent the odd ones back and Clare phoned when they arrived and when the new pair was dispatched. All sorted in a week! Thank you Clare.
The slip on trainers really are so comfortable and good quality.
