Review

All the staff that are there now are always friendly kind and helpful. Whatever i have gone in there for, or when asked for advice they had always been understanding and professional.

Day lewis thorogate

Day lewis thorogate, some staff are lovely and helpful but some are obnoxious rude, I went in for my partners medication and the pharmacy said out loud oh he's on universal now, like just let everyone else know in chemist, no need for it, he works part time but gets a little help, but this chemist lets everyone know your business, and the gossip , well that's another issue

The staff at the triangle shopping…centre Walton on the Naze

The staff at the triangle shopping centre day lewis are mostly very helpful and the pharmacist, but after having an issue with a missing item the lady behind the counter just said phone your GP , when I explained that I had run out of this particular medication she just said phone your GP , when I explained this happened last month as well she just said phone your GP, I explained the GP has a special line for prescriptions and it was not available Friday afternoon, she just said YOUR NOT LISTENING TO ME I'VE TOLD YOU PHONE YOUR GP, the pharmacist then came to attend to me she was very helpful and explained I needed to phone 111 which I did and she gave me 6 days emergency supply, it didn't end there Lisa the assistant who first served me made up a pack of LIES about what happened and said I was abusive and swearing etc I then received a Warning letter from day Lewis telling me about the incident with LISA and that this behaviour will not be tolerated !!!! The counter person NAMED LISA IS A LIAR and made this story up to cover her own back , SHAME ON YOU ,you can trust a thief , but you can never trust a LIAR LISA

Great service from Day Lewis Cranham

Great service from Fay Lewis, Cranham pharmacy. I pay privately for Mounjaro, and the care and attention to check if I met the criteria was great. The pharmacist was really helpful and gave some great advice, and the man who took my blood pressure - Adam, was helpful and calming. Really pleased I chose a local pharmacy rather than an online one! Thank you for a great service!

I have found this pharmacy to always be really helpful and friendly. The Pharmacist- Karen, provides great honest advice and has a very caring nature. The manager of the pharmacy is also really helpful and lovely. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

I am on the Monjuaro jab and pay for this privately. I see that Day Lewis accept Blue Light Card, but not on Weight Loss Services. Why not? 10% off the price of the jabs is around £29 on the 12.5 and 15mg. which is a lot of money. Day Lewis could well afford the 10% off and should look into this discount for Blue Light Card members.

I was told that they haven't been able to get peroxide for years - really too busy dishing out prescription drugs

It seems that going under the name of a pharmacy, rather than the wonderful chemists that we at Chester Road in the past, Boots and Drury's allows Day Lewis to no longer be concerned with people's general needs and only about dishing our prescriptions. In order to educate the young man on the counter, there are many, many uses for hydrogen peroxide including Household Cleaner: Hydrogen peroxide is effective for disinfecting surfaces, killing bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It can be used on countertops, cutting boards, and bathroom tiles.

Laundry Stain Remover: It helps remove tough stains like blood and wine. Apply directly to the stain, let it bubble, and rinse.
Vegetable Wash: A solution of hydrogen peroxide can be used to wash fruits and vegetables, helping to remove bacteria and extend shelf life.
Personal Care
Oral Hygiene: A diluted solution can be used as a mouth rinse to help reduce bacteria and promote oral health.
Teeth Whitening: Many over-the-counter whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide, which can help brighten teeth.
Earwax Removal: A few drops can soften earwax, making it easier to remove.
Health and First Aid
Hair Lightening: It can be used to lighten hair color when mixed with other products.
Mold and Mildew Removal: Spray on affected areas to kill mold spores and clean surfaces.
Pet Care: It can help disinfect pet grooming tools and clean pet areas. AND amazing for whitehead removal - being 73 years old - I really know about these things. This is why I will go to Boots or Superdrug in future - they don't seem to have a problem with supply.

Unprofessional customer service

I went to collect my prescription from their Cranham branch yesterday. On being served, one of their staff members, said to me in a very sarcastic tone, " you done very well" When I asked him, "what he meant by that?" He replied saying," you are not paying anything". I felt so awkward at the time. There were other customers in that branch. I came back home after collecting my medication. I didn't feel it right that he should have said that to any customer. I went back to speak to him. He apologised when I explained to him, how I had felt. Its not all of their staff but one bad apple who are unprofessional. This particular staff member needs some extra training in dealing with the customers.

Day Lewis Pharmacy in Lake (Isle of…

Day Lewis Pharmacy in Lake (Isle of Wight); I receive a text saying my prescription can be picked up. I go there a couple of days later and I am told they have not got it. This has happened several times now. Furthermore they tell me they are unable to coordinate my prescriptions so they are all ready at the same time, which means I have to go there again and again in order to get all my stuff. And when I am lucky enough to receive some of my medication it quite often turns out to be a duplicate of what I have already collected, but not what I need and have not received. Also the pharmacy is so small that on a regular basis people have to queue up outside in all weather for quite some time. I changed to Day Lewis hoping they would be more efficient than my previous pharmacy (Jhoots) - I could have just stayed with them!

It appears that staff are over run and…

It appears that staff are over run and unable to cope with the demand and sheer amount of perscriptions and mishaps, the surguries blane the pharmacy the pharmacy blame the surguries or drs , the drs seem unaware or confused at how you havnt received your perscriptions for weeks or unable to repeat them abd blame the pharmacy and it just goes around and around in a never ending circle while your health is impacted, the staff get frustrated and fatigued from being over worked, short staffed or excessive mistakes, the customers get the blame & the brunt, the customer gets angry and frustrated and desperate while their health declines and they are denied their perscriptions due to delay which further impacts on health and are often the ones running back & forward between surgury & pharmacy with no help, in 2026 it appears like the system has drasticly declined back to the dark ages where snake skin oil salesmen and witch drs are more viable accessable options than the "modern" NHS system , good luck, several patients walked out the chemist in disgust the other day , every day there is ques out the doors and round the corner with 2 hr wait times. The staff dont mean to be intensionally rude im sure, but they are exhausted and human abd this should not be occuring , we are in modern day Britian not a 1800s third world country supposedly .

2nd review and the same reason as last time. My prescription was prescribed on the 4th of this month and it's now the 17th and still waiting. I have now changed pharmacy due to the utter incompetence of this pharmacy. They also NEVER answer the phone. I have watched 4 people working behind the counter and completely ignore the ringing phone. Avoid this place

I actually give up with this pharmacy…

I actually give up with this pharmacy now. It used to be the best in the area. It’s fallen to bits now or I’ve been targeted because I made a complaint. Weeks and weeks waiting for medication deliveries. And some just never turn up. I may add these are vital medications I need to take for chronic illnesses. I’m not almost 3 weeks into waiting for my latest delivery, and can’t get hold of them over the phone EVER. Last time I counted 17 staff working in there at one time (that’s without counting their delivery drivers) so no idea why the phone is NEVER answered. After complaining to regional, I get a rude response and unanswered questions. I’ve not been without my anxiety meds for nearly 3 weeks waiting and I’m struggling to cope. But can’t get down there due to my mobility and can’t get hold of anyone on the phone. Negligence at its finest. Looking for another pharmacy as we speak as I cannot survive the wait.

The queues can sometimes be an hour in the Day Lewis at St Clare Medical Centre Penzance. I have been unfortunate enough to deal with them for my meds for a few years now, but things have progressively got worse. You very often collect your meds and items missing you try to ring them nobody answers the phone thought I would try the locker to collect my meds "out of order" And when I complained a very rude Manager came out and shouted at me in front of the whole queue other friends had same problem they are not at all helpful and their Customer care is awful. I have now changed to another Chemist and what a difference courteous check the meds before you go out of the pharmacy and I did not have to wait for over a week to get my meds dispensed. Day Lewis - No Never Again

I was in this morning to collect a prescription from the darlington branch at denmark street and we had to take it straight over to the nurse. There was some confusion because the doctor had ordered it, so the nurse asked me to go over and ask for a refund as it hadn't been open or left the premises. The pharmacist had a disgusting attitude even after i explained the circumstances. To be honest people like him shouldn't be working with the public. I know nothing with come of this writing a review and people like him will just keep doing as they please. He wants to be ashamed of himself. The pharmarcy is a joke, the 2 girls on the front were lovely willing to help anyone but he just picked and chose who he was willing to help. To be honest pharmacist is a joke.shame on you.
