Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Don't ever buy an insurance from them. I called them to repair my washing machine, and they just keep on postponing the appointment for unknown reasons. And when you call them to complain, they just tell you that they are sorry there is nothing they can do about it as the reparations is handled by an external party

Good service but letdown on parts
I have always been very impressed with Darty's service and I signed up to their loyalty programme almost a year ago. I've bought a lot of small and large items in that time so consider myself a good customer. However, this is a bit marred by the fact that I can't get a spare part for a Krups coffee machine I bought less than a year ago, despite Darty's promise of spare parts for 15 years. Darty still have the machine available but no spare parts, and none to be found anywhere else.

I hope you read English? I'm a retired American living in France with my French wife Michèle. I owned a fairly new ASUS computer tower. It fried completely, black screen! I wanted to buy another but instead of returning to the store at which I'd originally bought the tower, I went to Darty. I saw the very same computer tower on sale and would have bought it but when I explained to the salesman that I was hesitant to do so because such an expensive model shouldn't have died so rapidly, he asked If I had the Darty protection plan? I replied, "I think I do"? So he looked my name up and sure enough I was in their records. he informed me that I had the the second from the top coverage and if I would pay another €35 Euros towards that plan, I would have the tower repaired (even after I'd informed him that I'd bought it at Darty's competitor) at no extra charge. Wow, that sounded great, so I paid the extra money and delivered the Computer tower. That was 2 weeks ago. Last Friday, I received a message saying the tower was repaired. The same salesman/ counter agent that took care of me 2 weeks earlier was on duty today and immediately took charge. He explained that the tower's hard drive was completely dead. "Kaput"! The replacement was made as well as reinstalling some programs such as Windows. I signed off on the paperwork and took possession of the tower. The salesman/ representative/ agent for Darty who handled me from beginning to end does his company credit. He was courteous, gentlemanly, humorous, professional and thorough. As I've said in another poll, this man presented Darty with that old fashioned "Service with a smile" which you just don't see anymore. The guarantee was as good as gold, I didn't have to pay one centime more and the value of the repair (had I paid out-of-pocket) would have been slightly north of €200 Euros. You can bet that I'll be back to this store again and will be seeking out this man for future purchases.

I got a Fan from this store, the box says it has a cooling function, not only it doesn't cool, the fan speed is low and not strong at all.
When I tried to return it in the original packaging, first they said you can only return products if you bought online!! Then I showed then the policy in their website which says online or "in store" then they said it should not be opened!! I told them firstly, it only says should be in the original packaging, secondly how are you supposed to see the quality of it if you don't open and use it?!?!
Lastly I asked them to show me the evidence on "why can't I return" on their website, at this point they became so rude and told me they will call the police on me!!
Never seen anything like this anywhere in the world. Avoid this frauds, I will get my money back from my Credit issuer anyways, just wanted to give them a chance.

J'ai un ventilateur de ce magasin, la boîte dit qu'il a une fonction de refroidissement, non seulement il ne refroidit pas, la vitesse du ventilateur est faible et pas du tout forte.
Lorsque j'ai essayé de le retourner dans l'emballage d'origine, ils ont d'abord dit que vous ne pouvez retourner des produits que si vous avez acheté en ligne !! Ensuite, j'ai montré la politique sur leur site Web qui dit en ligne ou "en magasin", puis ils ont dit qu'elle ne devrait pas être ouverte !! Je leur ai dit premièrement, il est seulement dit qu'il devrait être dans l'emballage d'origine, deuxièmement, comment êtes-vous censé en voir la qualité si vous ne l'ouvrez pas et ne l'utilisez pas ?!?!
Enfin, je leur ai demandé de me montrer les preuves sur "pourquoi ne puis-je pas revenir" sur leur site Web, à ce stade, ils sont devenus si grossiers et m'ont dit qu'ils appelleraient la police sur moi !!
Je n'ai jamais rien vu de tel dans le monde. Évitez ces fraudes, je récupérerai mon argent de mon émetteur de crédit de toute façon, je voulais juste leur donner une chance.

Ok service but they need automation
Online the service is easy to use and they have a good selection (although most of it is via the marketplace). I had some customer service issues but their online chat took is actually quite good and their social media team replied fast. But my main issue is with their delivery service. First, they canning contact you if you don’t have a French number. I don’t know why this is the case or why it isn’t automated - but it means you cannot book a delivery or a pickup for a return without a French number. Second, you need to speak French. This is understandable and the first person I spoke with went slowly, but the second person did not have the patience and I couldn’t get support. For an international city, this creates a challenge. Again, this should be automated and digital. It would give better customer service and also be a lot more efficient - all in hand I had to contact them about 6-7 times just for one return.

Bad service
Firstly I would like to say that I have bought many items at Darty Castres, France. About four weeks ago my daughter was looking for a fridge and since we had just bought her washing machine at Darty Balma, Toulouse, I said go online and get one. Which she did but then realised it had my address, not hers. (We live about an hour apart.) On realising this she immediately contacted the help line because you cannot edit 15 minutes after placing the order. She was told that the order had already been shipped and nothing can be done. She then asked to cancel the order so she could reorder with the correct address and the lady said she will see what she can do. Needless to say it arrived at my address. Long story short, sent it back and three weeks later she was contacted and told they can either deliver the fridge to my address or cancel the order and we will be charged €50.00. So now we have to pay €50.00 because I cannot transport a fridge. No fidge and €50.00 later. I am extremely disappointed in Darty and will never buy from them again. What bad customer service.

We recently bought a 599 Euro portable DeLonghi Pinguino AirCon from Darty in Nice (Notre-Dame). That particular Darty shop is very well stocked and is always a pleasure to browse and shop in. We have used it extensively for ten years (for TV, hoover, cooker, cooker hood, etc) and never had an issue. But their delivery charges are high; certainly compared to London UK. Our lovely Pinguino was reduced in promotion by 88.80 EUR but delivery came in at 39 EUR. If not for that I would have given 5 stars.

Déplorable Darty
Deux fois, Darty nous avons donné une date de livraison d’un climatiseur, mais rien n'a été livré. Lorsque nous nous en plaignons, Darty insistent a) qu’ils ont envoyé un sms la veille et b) qu'ils nous ont appelés dans la journée, bien que nous ayons la preuve qu'aucun appel ou sms n'a été reçu. Le numéro de portable français que nous leur avons donné est correct et fonctionnel. C'est, en somme, une catastrophe de service, un exemple parfait de la décadence du service administratif et clientèle en France. Imaginez la France en 1900, et comparez avec ce que nous voyons aujourd'hui, à Darty et ailleurs. C'est déplorable.
Two times Darty have given dates for delivery of an expensive air conditioner, but nothing was delivered. When we complain about it, they insist that a) they have sent an sms the day before, and b) that they have called us during the day, although we have proof that no calls or sms:s have been received. The French mobile number we have given them is correct and working. It's, in short, a disaster of service, a prime example of the decadence of administrative and customer service in France. Imagine France in 1900, and compare with what we see now, at Darty and elsewhere. It's deplorable.

A system of scam, selling defect products, no service although you pay for service
I bought a washing machine from them. It got broken after two months, although it is used much less than average. Since then, it has been 1 year, I am struggling with the service. They came for more than 5 times. Each time, the delay is about 1 month for appointments. 3 times, the technician did not come within the day they said they would come, without giving any notice. 2 times, when they fixed one thing, they broke another. All this happened because I pay 10 euros per month to get this "service". Avoid buying anything from them, even if it is 50% cheaper, because this is system of scam. They certainly sell you defect products and you have to pay them continuously to not get any service.
