Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. It took me 2 months to gain a renewal of my residence permit. Then out of the blue I get daily PCN’s whilst in possession of the permit! This service is a joke. They don’t realise how much stress & upset they cause. All to pay for the privilege of spending hours in traffic every week on what has to be the worst planned most congested crossing in Britain. A disgusting display of utter incompetence

Set up a Dart charge account with £20…

Set up a Dart charge account with £20 and automatic top-up. First time i used the crossing I checked my account and it still had £20 on it and hadn't registered my crossing. Went in the old method to pay Dart charge and the were my 2 crossings with £5 to pay, so automatic charging does not work

Sent confusing letter

Sent confusing letter, didn't answer my question, so when I asked them to answer my question they were rude, nowhere else in the way do you have to pay online for something within a short space of time or get sent a threatening letter as if you are a horrendous criminal

I was robbed and scamed

I was robbed and scamed. I paid the £2.50 toll but got a fine. I appealed but was regected. Now I have to pay the fine plus another £2.50, and the previous £2.50 would stand as my credit for future passes up to 12 months from the payment I will never pass again. If I appeal again, the fine will be £105. For me, this is robbery and extortion. A shame.

Dart Crossing is a complete scam

Dart Crossing is a complete scam, YES we have to pay and should pay, we are advised by Dart to set up a auto charge by using a debit card, which we have done for many years. It was Dart`s failure to collect the charges which has resulted in PTS getting charged thousands of pounds and threats of CCJ and Bailiff charges. To all reading this review, make sure you check payments have been taken every time you use this rubbish - dysfunctional auto payment system. It really does not ALWAYS work, so now we have to go back to the old ways of checking daily The only "auto" that works with this payment system is the fines that result due to the Dart`s own system NOT working as it should. If there are any lawyers out there who are willing to take on a group action on behalf of thousands of innocent folks please let me know , I would join the group and will to pay towards claiming our money back and also making a claim on the stress this has caused to our team.

Customer service is shocking

Customer service is shocking. They are unhelpful on the phone and you send an email enquiry and they reply to say your enquiry is closed and they have not dealt with the query - it is like a standard response. Please read the question that you are being asked.

NEVER had any type of issue ?

NEVER had any type of payment issue or problems after using the crossing.
We use the crossing maybe 4 times a month, so in a sense 8 crossings.
When we have paid (By Visa Debit) we have always asked for a confirmation of payment by both e-mail, and SMS text, and we always "screen shot" the reference number when the payment has been concluded. During the payment section, our bank ask's for a confirmation of payment, via a SMS passcode.
In any event, we always have 5 types of recorded verification regarding any payment we make.
Ensuring that you enter the correct registration number, and making sure that at every stage you keep a digital record of your payment is the only sensible way to navigate this service.
The traffic flows (unlike when you used the toll booths) and like it or not, on-line payments are here to stay.

Mystery fine

I have been making the same journey for 46 years, never had a problem until 2 days ago when I received a fine. On the day in question (7th June) I had paid for 2 crossings, in the morning as was verified by my bank. Apparently I didn't pay for the crossing later that day. I had stupidly deleted my email confirmation on my return home as I had never needed to refer to it in the past. Spoke to Aziz who was quite rude, wouldn't listen to my explanation and insisted that I pay so I did. I was supposed to get a confirmation text to say that I had paid, never got one. Phoned the next day and got a reference number instead. Lesson learnt, never delete your confirmation email for a least 6 months!

Disreputable

The company claimed I hadn't paid for the crossing. I sent them a copy of the bank statement proving I had. They replied that I'd paid for the wrong car. I'd put the number 0 instead of the letter O in the registration number. They rejected my appeal. I know that if the matter had gone to court, a judge would have accepted that I paid for the car that crossed, but I paid the fine to get the company off my back. I'm furious! Demanding money you're not owed is dishonest.
