Never again

Brought a 3 and 2 seater paid over £3k I took out the additional insurance, luckily I did I had to use it within the first 6 months had a problem with the frame, when the repair was done you could see how cheaply this had been made, just over the 1 year mark problems with all the fabric bobbling, bearing in mind we already had one of the seat coverings replaced after 3 months!! oh insurance doesn’t cover this, so I sent a complaint in, SO disappointed the manufacturer wouldn’t cover it, the manager was very helpful he told me to email the owner which I did TWICE, NO Reply!! I will not be buying anything else now from Dansk, no response from the owner how bad is that, shocking

BEWARE

They charge you even though the item is backordered, don't send updates so you have no idea when the item will ship.

They have no customer service phone number--you have to email then you get a message saying they're really busy and it might be awhile before they write back.

I have no idea when or if I will get the item that I need and paid for. BEWARE.

Badly worn dining room chairs

Bought 8 dining room chairs mid 2018 costing over £3k (and that was a sale price). Despite limited use including nearly 2 years of lockdown, all chairs have flaked. Referred to Dansk summer 2023 and took an age to respond. When they did, said chairs were out of warranty and nothing they were prepared to do. Chairs should last longer than 5 years especially that price. Have no intention of shopping there in future and would others to do likewise. Over priced, and shocking customer. Buyer beware!!

Disappointing customer service

Disappointing customer service! I needed to follow up with them re 2 broken pieces out of my 12 piece full set of kitchen dishes. They will not replace without an order number. This was a gift. I have pictures of the product, packaging and box. Need to replace on my own even though broken in the box. Shop elsewhere. Other companies will replace without question.

Exceptional

We enjoyed an exceptional service from start to finish when upgrading one of our rooms recently. This included in-depth advice from the in-house interior designer, a huge choice of Dansk's furniture and furnishings, with help from an adviser to whittle it down, and a personal service on many occasions offered by skilled and knowledgeable experts. We are absolutely delighted with our "new lounge" totally transformed by Dansk and admired by many. Great quality too! A huge thank you.

Unbelievably bad customer service

Unbelievably bad customer service. Furniture was delivered covered in scuff marks, glue residue and fabric pulls and Dansk weren’t even interested in trying to rectify the problem. They offered a measly 4% discount for the damage or said they’d just take the furniture back. No attempt to rectify the problem, no empathy and more importantly, no apology.

If they’re unable to deliver the furniture they sell in good condition, they shouldn’t stock it.

Rude assistants…

Last Friday 26/November I took some artificial silk flowers to the pay desk I was pleased as they had a 20% discount offer. The two assistants kept me waiting while they were. Busy talking to each other. I was told quite abruptly that only certain makes of these silk flowers were on offer not the ones I had tried to buy. On checking this it clearly said 20% off. Their attitude was disgraceful.

Bought table and 6 chairs separately 2020 3 chairs damaged said they would replace still waiting 5 months later can get hold of any one they haven't even contacted me in 5 months quick enough to take my cash absolutely shambolic service

Dansk V Poor quality, v poor customer service

We purchased a sofa and chair plus a television unit four years ago. Spending thousands of pounds. The suite was leather and material and cost thousands of pounds however is not fit for purpose. The springs came through bottom of the chair and Dansk refuses to mend. 4 years for a circa £2.5k Chair is not acceptable to me there is only myself and my husband so the use is minimial! Buy elsewhere, where if you pay a lot at least it is built to last. Like other consumers very disappointing for what we are lead to believe is a quality brand! Massive thumbs down for Dansk.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FURNTURE....I…

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FURNTURE....I bought 2 sofas and 1 footstool (Arundel) last year from dansk, took out an insurance policy with them, within months the sofas were terrible every mark appeared them even down to a drop of water stained them, queried this with Dansk (they didn’t want to know), as have I had been advised of this I would not have bought them, eventually went through the insurance company who came out eventually to clean and made them 19 times worse (told Dansk, they didn’t want to know), eventually had to have the sofa recovered, brand new sofa and had to have cover replaced, ridiculous. Now have stain on my footstool, small drop is milk spilt by accident, it has taken away a top layer of the material, awful. This furniture was not cheap and I am very careful with my furniture, but the slightest thing stains this, should not be sold in the first place, Dansk were terrible and would never but with them again. Have photos which I wish I could post 😡

Don't bother - Lakeside store

I bought a dining table - the Prague set - from the Lakeside store. The dining table that was delivered was faulty - delivered on 9th April. We were told that they would be organising a replacement but for now we could keep this faulty set. We were happy to do that, as we were told the turnaround would be approx two weeks.

Since then there has been constant chasing on our side with zero responses from the store manager or anyone at Dansk. The phones don't even connect to anywhere. I eventually gave up and sent a final email requesting a full refund and for someone to come and collect the table. Again, no response.

Got in touch with Head office yesterday, only to be told that they're organising for someone to come and take the table back. Why has this not been communicated to me? Why has nobody managed to respond to me at all for the past 7 weeks?
Head office assured me I would get a phone call from the store manager today, still no phone call and I won't hold my breath waiting for one.

Hi all,

I've waited patiently since Monday for the call that I've been promised to rearrange delivery.

I've received no such call. It's now been nearly a month and I have had no communication regarding when this issue is likely to be resolved or when I will be receiving a new dining set. Instead I am the one chasing.

Payment has already started to be taken from my account monthly. I would like for this to be refunded to me along with the deposit that I paid upfront and for someone to come and collect the faulty goods. 

Please confirm when you can come and collect the items and when I can expect to receive a refund. If you cannot sign off on this then please put me in contact with someone who can.

And from then ...radio silence. Until I contacted head office yesterday. I suspect I will still get no response. I just want them to come and take their table now.

Avoid this place - customer service is atrocious and nobody takes ownership for anything. Head office could not give me a complaints contact or inform me of any kind of complaints procedure. She was just keen to pass the buck back onto the silent store manager we have been dealing with and get me off the line. The store is dead - I can't figure out why the store manager has no time to respond to his customers.

Not even worthy of one star to be honest.

Pleasant Experience

I only found out about Dansk this year through a friend that has been a long time customer. I am always wary of salespeople, but visiting Dansk was a breath of fresh air. The staff were very polite and friendly and at no point were they pushy. The shop is very nice and has a wide selection on offer. The prices are pretty much the same as any quality furniture shop. My wife is now obsessed with the accessories department and I have to say the additions to our home have made a big difference. Thank you.

Excellent service

Really happy with the furniture I ordered. They look great and everything just as I had hoped. The delivery guys were fantastic. Very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently to install the wardrobes.

Highly recommended.

Very pleased with our new furniture!

My wife and I had a great experience with Dansk. We fully furnished our home all from the Rayleigh store over the course of 2 years. We have been complimented on our furniture countless times by our friends and family. We highly recommend!

Poor poor customer service. Diabolical experience!

Having placed an order for a new suite of 3 pieces of furniture from Dansk, the delivery took over 3 months! The furniture was faulty and further damaged on delivery, along with damage to my property! Not wanting to wait another 3 months for I was advised a technician would remedy the problems quickly!! Months later and following many emails and chase up phone calls to Dansk it transpired the replacement materials had been lost by the technicians. No urgency was ever realised by Dansk, nor was there any forthcoming consideration for compensation. Having made further complimentary purchases (not from Dansk) and decorating to compliment the new furniture, I am now completely disillusioned with the company. after 7 months of inaction on their part I have finally received a refund. They are now planning to re-sale my furniture in their Rayleigh Store. Be warned! Very bad and stressful experience.
