It all started with a raincoat, or rather, the lack of one. Danefæ was founded when 4 childhood friends got tired of the bike ride to work with a raincoat that was far more practical than beautiful. Danefae's mission was clear from the start: We wanted to make quality products, pay homage to Scandinavian design history and add some color to daily life around town. We wanted to "Make practical beautiful", and to embrace the whimsical Nordic weather patterns with colorful and functional designs. Since then, the collections have grown larger and larger, but we still have the same mission. Our outerwear is designed according to skiwear principles with technical membrane systems and taped seams that keep wind and rain out, but allow your body to breathe. In parallel, our outerwear is designed for a city, country, forest, mountain, or beach life guided by our love of fresh air, simplicity, style, mobility and a vivid color palette. We always consider production and consumption carefully. We believe in sustainability through a confrontation of the disposable "fast fashion" culture. Danefae outerwear is built for the long haul. We work with manufacturers that are all BSCI certified and in addition either Oeko-tex, Swan label, or GOTS certified. Our colorful and durable products, in addition to current European and Danish legislation, follow a very special Danefæ regulatory framework for the use of chemistry, ensuring durability and guaranteeing beauty even after many years of use. Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service! The zipper of my winter coat broke, they sent me a replacing coat without any hassle. I already loved my coat, now I love this brand even more.

I want to compliment the customerservice of Danefae.
I had a problem with the zipper of my softshell raincoat and they solved it perfectly.
I am very happy because I love this coat and can recommend it for evrybody.

Only recieving part of the order because the rest was sold out
I placed an order for two bodies.I bought them for a friend who has twin boys, that's why I ordered and needed two of them.
To my surprise, when I received the order, there was only one of them because the other one was sold out. I understand that this can happen but what it is not right is that nobody from Danefæ contacted me regarding this issue. Nobody took the time to ask me if I wanted to proceed with the order with just one body or add another item.
I think this is unacceptable because then I am left with one body when I needed two for the twin boys and the only option I have is to return it and pay 49DKK for shipping. I already had to pay 25 DKK to get that one body that costs 99DKK and now I would need to add 49DKK more for a mistake that it is only theirs.

Sorry, as soon as we received your email today about your issue, we agreed that you should off course just order a new one with free freight, unless the discount code with 25% we always send out if an item is missing, covers the amount. Normally the code will more than cover the amount, but if that is not the case with you, we will off course help. We wrote you the following 50 minutes after receiving your email, so we are a little bit sad, that you still feel that we didn't do our best to help you:

Unfortunately we do not contact customers under a certain amount, as though it would set us back in time. So we decided that under a certain amount we do not contact customers if an item is sold out.
Perhaps you can find another body in webshop instead and just write in comment box 'Free parcel shop shipping in Dk/Pia Anna'. Then they'll send you without charging you for the shipping 🙂

I enjoy having a chance to live in Denmark and to know wonderful clothing shops such as Danefae! :) I love everything - the colours, the quality, the light and warm and wind/waterproof coats and the special deals every week. I will miss it when we will be gone home.

Fint grejer och snabbt leverans
The jackets and overall ordered sit very well indeed. Everyone is very happy with their new winter gear. It would have been nice to see more reflexes on the kids clothes, though, especially the blue jacked, which is pretty much invisible in the dark from the back.
