Lars and his team helped us out…

Lars and his team helped us out tremendously with a complete repair of a flat roof that had been installed incorrectly by another supposedly reliable company. Professional, fast, helpful, and genuinely committed. Highly recommended.

Never Treated This Badly By a Contractor

Crazy expensive for what they actually delivered. We got a repair bid and was told it would include new top cap tiles, new flexible adhesive/protectant, and new zinc lining replacement around our dakkappel. At least that is what I asked for, what the salesman promised, and even answered questions around (e.g. "so I'll have new caps at the top?", "it will match my existing roof?"). When they left, we had no new cap tiles and no zinc. Instead we had light grey adhesive/protectant gooped onto our roof caps that didn't match our roof or brick, and about 100 Euros worth of adhesive roof cloth stuck on top of our old zinc. While cleaning the mess from the work, the worker permanently scratched one of our windows (a BIG one - and it is new), and dropped silicon all over one of our solar panels. With maybe 450 worth of materials, the worker spent 4 hours on site, and the company is charging us...wait for it... 3,600 EUROS!!! We have renovated many houses, but I have never been soaked this badly by a contractor. Live and learn, I'll be fighting the invoice. Nice worker, who tried to keep our house clean while working, but they have dishonest sales people and have zero control of their quality. They like to shove all the blame to their contractors...which are ultimately the company's responsibility. This company is part of the Rietman Group b.v,, I would not do business with any affiliated company based on this experience.

Update since the first post: The company sent out a professional who spent most of the day fixing and completing what should have been done to begin with. We're thankful to have good work completed now, but the cost was FAR FAR too high for what was delivered, and it took a GIGANTIC effort to get them to deliver most of what was promised (we never did get our zinc). I had to climb out on my roof multiple times to take many photos (I'm afraid of heights), just because they didn't want to send somebody to check the quality for themselves. At the end, I still didn't get what I was lead to believe, but close, and my window still has a massive scratch on it (for which they reduced my bill by 400E). I'll chalk it up to a communication/language issue. While they did clean up and do their work correctly, I've since spoken with other companies that do similar work for half the price...

Incompetance resulted in carbon monoxide leak

I had my whole flat roof replaced and added insulation. Due to the new insulation, the roof was 7cm higher. They made a life-threatening error as they simply pulled the CV exhaust pipe up to account for the extra height, thereby disconnecting it from the CV. What was needed was a new, longer pipe. This resulted in a carbon monoxide leak and the fire department had to come. Luckily I had a CO alarm as CO leaks are life-threatening.
They immediately admitted the error and paid for the emergency repairs that needed to be done. I appreciate they did not argue and admitted responsibility, but this was a completely standard job and I am astounded that such an amateur mistake was made. They say they are a family business but I did not even receive a call from the owner to apologise.
