I have been a huge fan of Cult Beauty. I’ve been a Gold or Silver member for years. But I now realise that when something goes wrong they are appalling.

After contacting them a week ago regarding an issue with my order, I was told 4 days ago that a replacement order would be sent.Since then, they have completely stalled. When I ask for a tracking link or a dispatch date, I am repeatedly told they have to "raise an internal ticket" to their warehouse. I have asked multiple times for a simple delivery timeline, and the agents completely refuse to give me an answer or an update.It is completely unacceptable to hold a customer's money, promise a replacement, and then go radio silent under the guise of "internal tickets".

But the crazy thing is I wouldnt feel rhis way if I could speak to someone or just be given a timeline but that appears to be impossible.

To top it all off in frustration I emailed what I thought was a email for them. It’s wasn’t. It’s a scam where they ask you to download an app to be reimbursed. This is what happens when companies make it impossible to contact them and have long - like two days - wait between messages.

I’m actually gutted. I can never in good faith use Cult Beauty again because although they are efficient if there are no issues with your order, I cannot trust them when there are. Plus I can’t spend my life getting this stressed about what is supposed to be a fun product.

I have contacted CB three times now to try and start a return and it's still not possible. This should not be such a nuisance.

Great next day delivery but one of the items had leaked into the box.

Their customer service used to be really good a few years ago, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been very disappointing.

If you’ve bought one of their advent calendars, I’d strongly recommend checking every single box as soon as you receive it. This year, I had a missing product, and last year I received a product that had leaked.

I’m still waiting for a sensible response from customer services. I explained the issue clearly and attached a photo, but they came back asking for clarification. I provided what they asked for, and then heard nothing. After three days, I had to chase them, only to be offered a voucher that didn’t even cover the value of the missing product.

It’s a good company when everything goes smoothly, but unfortunately, when something goes wrong, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

If you do buy from them, I’d recommend paying with PayPal so you have some protection if you need to raise a dispute.

EDIT: Issue has since been rectified, but not sure it would have been if I stuck to the normal channels instead of using TrustPilot

Wide range of products and quick delivery. Have used Cult Beauty for a few years now and on the whole the service has been good. I did have an issue last year around November time - wrong order sent. I was refunded but it did take time, and a bit of back and forth perhaps because it was a busy period other than that all good.

Scam company, do not order. I ordered an expensive face wash on the 23rd of July (7 weeks/ almost two months ago).

It was not delivered.

The courier (Everi) has now posted on the tracking page that it is being sent back to Cult Beauty.

They are still refusing to give me a refund, so I now have to go through my bank.

I keep receiving emails saying that because the order has been shipped, they cannot give me a refund. It’s a truly shameful business practice and I have since stopped buying from there.

Absolutely appalling customer service from this company!

I joined the waitlist for their beauty advent calendar in order to be notified of its early release date. I received the notification to say it had gone on sale, and straight away purchased the calendar at 8:00am on its launch date, with the £3.95 option of next day delivery.

We are now on day 7 and I have still not received my order. I have waited patiently whilst receiving several repetitive emails from Cult Beauty apologising for the delay with my order but giving zero explanation as to why my order is delayed, or when I can expect it to be shipped. Anyone would think that this company might’ve been preparing for lots of incoming orders of this item on its launch date… but apparently not!

As stated, we are now on day 7 of not even getting notified that my order has been shipped, let alone received! So on that basis and as within my rights as a customer, I have requested a full refund and cancel the order.
The incompetent customer service team have suggested to “put me in touch with their courier to locate my order” like it’s my issue to try and resolve! They clearly are that useless they can’t even be bothered to check their own system to see that it hasn’t even been shipped yet. Absolutely disgusting customer service! Have now provided Cult Beauty with written notice that I will be going to Trading Standards to commence legal proceedings if my refund is not received today, as they are massively in breach of the Consumer Rights Act.
Avoid at all cost!!!

Following my review, I have since received a response telling me that the item I’ve ordered is “not live” and that there is currently no expected shipping date! So not only are they accepting orders with the option to pay for next day delivery, they are purposely not advertising anywhere on their website that the item isn’t actually available yet anc they don’t know when it will be available for shipping. How many consumer rights and legal laws are they breaking there!
I have responded and AGAIN requested a full refund… especially now they have confirmed that they don’t know when my item will be shipped!

The selection of skincare and makeup is amazing with quick shipping (They basically ship the items by the next day).

ordered a saie glowy serum and the company upgraded me for free to next day delivery. came super quick, great delivery.

Why oh why do you send this out for your advent calendars? Nobody knows what’s in it yet-I don't even unpack it so curious eyes dont feel the need to pry before December 1. Please, send these review requests out on January 1, or even December 14th or so.
Going by last years contents it will be fabulous, this year there is perfume too, that will likely equal a very happy granddaughter. I am re-buying (something I rarely do) and would I encourage someone who loves beauty products and just generally spoiling themselves/others/wonderful, gorgeous, beautiful granddaughters to buy one, YES. You have a one star rating because my experience is frustrating with this ridiculous review request.
