Purchased Crown Contract High Gloss Paint Brilliant White 1L from Toolstation. The paint is definitely not Brilliant white out of the tin, not even just white, its more very pale yellow with a hint of green! However, it does dry/cure to a Brilliant White and levels out quite nicely. Only time will tell if it yellows over time!

Crown 'Crafted' paint is a fantastic product. I purchased 'family tree' colour. A beautiful deep and dark green. Going on bare, newly plastered walls I thought it would require 3 coats. It only required 2 and the result is amazing. Absolutely thrilled.

Bought crown paint for my spare bedroom which was the colour dash of nutmeg which is described to have hues of coffee and cream. The colour painted lilac! I emailed Crown directly in hopes of a solution to fix this but its been three weeks with no response. Wasted days and money unfortunately as it needed to he painted again.

I have always found Crown paints excellent to work with, a quality paint, well worth using. However the Crown Quick Dry Eggshell Brilliant White I used recently was absolutely awful in every possible way, it was like painting with milk or PVA glue. Coverage was terrible even though I stirred the paint well, and followed the instructions. I don't know if I had it from a bad batch, but it isn't a patch on the Dulux range of fast drying eggshell paint I had used prior to trying out the Crown range.Incidentally I also used the Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion on the walls that was excellent, but I will not be using it's eggshell range again that's for sure!

Best paints I’ve ever used, and have now heard the same from two professional painter/decorators too. Always do amazing colour matching at the Sheffield store (Nunnery Drive) and great service too. Wouldn’t use any other!

I wouldn't really have given even one star for Crown Pure Brilliant White Paint. On attempting to paint the Living Room Ceiling, the finish was patchy and even after trying another twice, the finish didn't improve. We bought another make of paint which covered the ceiling beautifully after just one coat. I will never buy this product again, no any other Crown Paint products.

Absolutely terrible paint. It's so runny that it creates drips long after you've finished painting, making a smooth finish impossible. It completely ruined my stairway posts. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Crown.

Purchased a tin of grey Crown Trade satin oil based paint. Constantly stirring to try and get any colour out of it. It took 2 days to dry, It was of no use for anything, I took it back and the staff were super nice and gave me a tin of Crown Trade quick dry water by based paint. This was totally useless as it begins to dry as soon as you start painting and cannot be over brushed so you end up with a terrible finish. I was only painting a small board to test it on before I started painting my internal doors. Glad I did as it would have been a disaster. Now I have two tins of paint in my bin.Never will I buy Crown paint ever again.

Crown paint colour “overjoyed” After giving the paint a thorough stir I applied the paint with a roller to the wall. Noticing it had not covered evenly I went over these areas to find the paint came off the wall and back onto the roller leaving me with white patches. I should have steered clear of this paint as a friend of mine also use this colour and her finished wall after two coats was very patchy in daylight.

Crown paint textured has to be the best paint to cover imperfections and the colour taupe is subtle and warming to my living room

On recommendation from our decorator we bought crown paint for him to paint the hall and lounge in my parents house as a gift. He’s done 2 coats and it’s absolutely shocking you can see all the cutting in etc, he said he thought it would dry out so we’ve left it for just over a week and when visiting them today we can see every line and we’re so disappointed. The decorator is coming back tomorrow to do another coat but to be honest I think we need different paint because it’s so bad

I have always used Dulux paint for dcotrating but spied the new Crafted by Crown in Wickes and loved the colours. I only bought 2 2.5 ltr tins ( which is all they do) but unfortunately it wasn't enough...so off I go to Wickes to be told they don't know when they will be getting anymore in, but they will be....apparently they don't sell a great deal. I tried to find a retailer online, but no luck! So, I rang the number online only to be told by the agent that he doen't have a list of retailers they sell to (??) but I can order it....no good when you need it that day....Looks like I'm going back to Dulux. At least everyone stocks it!!

Purchased Crown - Matt Botany Bay and Peek a Boo Blue - it dries showing stroke marks from brush and roller marks along with white tide marks where I had touched up or repainted areas, after 4 coats I gave up and will never use crown paint ever again total waste of money

Crown mellow sage Matt walls and ceilings, I’ve been in the trade for 50 years and used probably every paint on the market and yes there are worse, but as a past reputable company I am so disappointed with this product, this paint just drags off and all attempts to rectify this by all means fail.
It’s taken nearly 5 coats to get any kind of decent finish, in my opinion I wouldn’t bother, I will certainly be reluctant to buy any more crown products!

Same covered as deluxe half price cheeper better shades ! Recommend definitely we have always use deluxe but never been happy with it so decided that we aren’t over paying this time and we will try crown and tell you what it perfect 2 covers and done

Not as good as their trade paint but for the price am not complaining it has a good coverage, can go a bit streaky in places but as a low price paint it get the job done to a passable standard.
